Service does not respond to all inquires and lists my jacket in accordance with my instruction.

I have always been a fan of Stuarts and bought several things over the last 3 years. This Christmas I spent £300 in the sale and when some items didn't fit I sent them back. It is Stuarts policy to not refund sale items even in my situation when they don't fit. I have since moved my business to the many other retailers online who have a more customer focused returns policy. A real shame

Dear Matthew, I have read your review and was not aware that you were not given a refund as you were within your 14 days of return for a refund period. I can only apologise presently, as the member of staff`s incompetence led to you getting an e-wallet as this is not normal practise and he has since been removed from Stuartslondon due to making too many mistakes. We do not like to upset our customers and we offer a 14 days returns period for sale items and 28 days for full price items and only our clearance stock is non-refundable as you will appreciate this is our dead stock. As a gesture of goodwill I have added £10.00 to your account + the funds you already have there, if you would like us to refund the amount we can do so for you. . Do not liked the fact that you write on your online store website "free worldwide shipping", but you're actually mislead customers because it is not true - in Russia you deliver charge and expensive. Thank you.

Stuarts London policies on returns are not good. Sale items you will only get credit on return. Charges for returns and even unexpected charge for postage on firts return when looking for different size. Check if items are available from shops with better returns policies.

I ordered a pair of trainers, a day later after me paying securely for them I received an email saying they arent in stock. Was not happy, as they was a Christmas present. Why let a customer pay for something if the product is not in stock.

Dear Chole We are sorry , but during the Xmas rush its very hard to keep up with the stock level. Everything is computerised and scanned, but sometimes on last items, we may get an order from multiple people just minutes apart. The system need 4 minutes to update stock level in the warehouse. This is why it still allowed you to make purchase, but the item had already sold minutes before. I am sorry someone should have explained this to you when they emailed back. Kind Regards Ravi

I registered my details then I made my purchase and paid for product. A few hours later I get an email canceling my order. Offering a gesture of good will. However I need now to wait for refund to be processed making it tight for Christmas delivery. Why not call explain the problem allowing me to choose a credit so I can reorder straight away?

Dear Anita You are so right , we should have called you instead. It was due to sheer volume of Xmas Orders and trying get everything out on time, that made it a little bit difficult to delivery the service anyone would be used that we provide all year around. Ordered a pair of Clark's originals as a Christmas present, 2 days later received a call to say they actually didn't have that item in stock & would need to refund my money, not helpful in the run up to Christmas

Biggest problem is that they are supposed to be "Regular" length of 32" inseam, but only measure 30.5". Taking into account shrinkage when washed, the inseam may become 30" or less. May have to return for refund.

I have been a customer of your for many years and i think you have a great shop ... But this is the first time i have brought somethink on line and i was shocked to recsive my new jacket in the smallest parcel you could of got got it in to ... I was like it had been vacuum packed , I had it hanging but the creases are still in it and it looks flat as a pancake , Its a shame because it was a nice jacket however i will be returning it to your shop this week as i am local to you. I received the order quickly and it was complete, however, the pair of Grenson shoes I bought had several scratches, a bit disappointing. I also bought a shoe horn and it was really in a terrible state. The sample I received seemed used already and the hole on the handle appeared to be drilled or widened by something, plastic was pouring out and it was covered by black dirt. The appearance of this thing was really shockingly wrong!

If you would email at Ravi@Stuartslondon.com with your order Ref - I will have some dubbin sent out to you free of charge this will eliminate all scuffs, sometime these do occur as the shoes are handmade. I bought an xl jacket. Exactly the same size i have been wearing before. Suddenly the size is too small and to exchange it , i have to return it at my own cost. Will not use it again. Thanks

Although my items arrived as promised, I needed to return one of the items as I wasn't happy with the quality. Unfortunately, customers have to pay the postage costs for returns, which I think is not good service considering the amount of choice available to on-line customers. This would put me off using Stuarts London again and it's something I think they should reconsider for the future.

Hi, I've received my Baracuta G9 Original Harrington Red Jacket, size 36 today. Want to thank for your effort. However, there is missing stitches (about 1.5cm) on the left shoulder under the collar. I would like to change a new one. Please advise how to approach it? Many thanks!!

I ordered a barbour Steve McQueen jacket online which subsequently could not be found in the store. Extremely frustrating, I would have given Stuart's top marks if you had offered me a replacement or sourced another jacket. On the plus side, the refund was quick, and one of your team left a message on my answer phone saying there was a problem. I would probably shop at Fussy Nation or Jules B nexttime. Just being honest. Jerry

Dear Sir After reading your review, I am sorry we couldn't get your jacket delivered. There was only the last one left in stock and we had two orders for the same jacket. The stock system can take a few minutes to update on the server, but it was just bad luck that two orders for the same item had come in only seconds apart. We had to honour the item to the first order. We did try and source another one from Barbour but they too has sold out. Unfortunately, this was my worst on-line shopping experience with Stuarts. I had previously ordered two Mikel Rude shirts from Stuarts and had been very impressed with their presentation in a box, immaculately folded and wrapped in tissue paper. This time, however, the shirt had obviously been taken out of the box at some time, as it was very creased with the screwed up tissue paper underneath the shirt. However, to make this worse, the separate Gabicci shirt that I had also ordered had been stuffed into the box as well, which further creased the Mikel Rude shirt. Not impressed.

ordered item(Fri) for next day delivery(Sat) ,couldnt find item in time to send next day.Never received email to inform me of this.Had to phone to find out what had happened to order eventually received on Monday
