Terrible delivery service through DTDC. Our of the blue, I get a call demanding Rs. 1864 in cash stating this was for customs duty. I had to arrange cash at short notice and send my staff to hand it over at the gate, as they had no provision for online payment. Their courier boys are very poor at communications and low in knowledge . Their tracking manager Ajad Pal made me do a KYC online , which I did , and he told me nothing else was needed. I was not told that this consignment would attract customs duty @ 30% . Included is an IGST charge of 28% which should not apply to imports . I had to seek clarifications from their Bombay office Ms. Farzana. Not helpful at all . They also levied a " handling charge " . When I am paying courier charges , how is this justified. They gave me no official receipt for the customs payment from the Dept. Anyway I reluctantly agreed to pay. When all was done after multiple phone calls , they yet again asked me for some identification pin code that they had never sent . I finally lost it . Some Vikas helped me finally get the socks . I have never been so badly harassed.. The cost and the hassle was terrible . At GBP 25 each ...its quite a price to pay for socks . This is the first time I have dealt with Stuarts. Your UK communications were prompt and your tracking system was very efficient . It all went haywire in the last mile. DTDC is not transparent and multiple sub-agencies and outsourced contractors are involved in their so called service. This is a scam ...and not providing the original receipts from the customs department tantamounts to fraudulent extraction of money.

I bought a pair of shoes from Stuarts London but I received an empty shoebox instead. After a rich exchange of e-mails, they answered "if the courier is adamant that your parcel was delivered correctly then there is not much else we can do". Since I had paid with Paypal I opened a dispute in the Resolution Center and after some passages, including a police report, I finally had my money back.

Prompt delivery but unhelpful regarding a return - despite the seam of one of a pair of boots rubbing on an ankle they wouldn't exchange for another pair of the same brand/size without charging me postage for the return, deeming it "not faulty".

Item didn't fit so returned. Had to pay for return as well as original delivery cost. This information is available on the website but worth bearing in mind if you plan to return any items as cost can add up.

Paid £3.95 for delivery, was topd by email it was arriving on Thursday between 11-1500 hrs. Took afternoon off of work to make sure i was in. My order didn’t arrive. Turned up a day late!! Emailed Stuarts, that evening, got a reply the next day, no apology just an email saying it was going to turn up that day. Disappointed.

Sent the wrong shoe. They were prompt with customer service about returning the product. I have ordered before and never had a problem with the product sent. This may be a one off as far as sending the wrong shoe. Hopefully this is corrected quickly. I rate this poor for sending the wrong shoe. I would rate the service 5 otherwise.
