“I had been seeing adverts for the Sturhling Depthmaster 883 for a long time, but because it could only be purchased online, I was a bit reluctant to purchase. However, I finally took the plunge and ordered the watch, and was surprised to find that there was a Sturhling discount code which gave me $95USD off the list price.
I'd seen online that there were sometimes delays in shipping so I was not too worried after three weeks elapsed and it had not arrived. I then received an email from Sturhling asking if I enjoyed my new watch. I replied saying that I had not yet received the watch. They then sent a further email saying they had checked and there were delays with DHL shipping but I should receive it soon. As it happens, just three more days passed and the courier arrived at the door with the watch.
Initial thoughts, the Sturhling box was very nice and then upon opening the box, the watch itself looked very nice and elegant and felt good too. At 42mm, it was also the perfect size for my wrist. I took it to the local jewellers in my town to have the bracelet resized, and although he had never heard of Sturhling, the jeweller himself seemed impressed with the watch and said he would research it later.
Having had the watch for two weeks now, I am very pleased with it. It looks nice on my wrist and can be worn with a suit and shirt cuffs or just casually, it looks good in both situations. The watch face seems darker than in the promotional videos but it looks fine to me. just something to be aware of.
Only downsides apart from the shipping delay, was the cost of import tax. I had to pay 63 euros extra for import into The Netherlands. That is in no way Sturhlings fault. Just be sure to research any import taxes to your own country if you live outside the US.
Despite my initial reservations about buying an online watch, I am pleased with my Sturhling purchase, and the quality and looks of the Depthmaster 883.”
