I received your comments about my review on Stührling product “Yara 2001 Quartz” that I bought last month.
My first impression was that you tried to patronize me telling me about “ … a 15 million wrist …”, but I took a sit and I have been thinking about … I took several days for that, and now I’m coming with some conclusions.
Maybe, your position in Stührling Company is related only with PR work, so, in this respect, you are not able to have in your mind some aspect about relation watches-man, like wearing the watch throughout the day, and day by day, not only during the diving activities.
Throughout the day, the hand/wrist (actually entire body) goes through periods of expansions and contractions, so time to time it is necessary to tighten or to weaken the strap on the wrist. Or, my watch strap is too short to have the possibility to make the necessary movements described ahead.
So, Mr. Burton, you are right telling me that you want from me to share my experience with my Stührling watch “… beyond the wrist …”, BUT:
1. The wrist is the place on my body where a wear it – so, considering that the strap is very important;
2. To have an experience with this watch I must wear it – so, considering that the strap is very important;
3. To wear it a long time means to have a comfortable strap – so, considering that the strap is very important;
4. Feeling well wearing this watch means to have a strap which is easily adjustable – so, considering that the strap is very important;
Regarding the strap, in conclusion, the more comfortable is, the longer I wear it and the longer time the watch can be very visible and, last but not least, I can riched my experience with my Stührling watch “Yara 2001 Quartz”.
In this respect and concluding all above, please take into consideration the following principle: "From longer, you can make short, but in reverse, it is not possible.”
About the watch, my impressions, so far, are the followings:
1. It has a very cozy design;
2. It has the right weight for a man;
3. It has a very delicate and accurate finishing;
4. The rate between quality and price is very well balanced;
And, yes Mr. Burton, I am very satisfied with my Stührling watch “Yara 2001 Quartz”, except the strap which is too short for a man’s wrist.”

“I bought a Sturhling 3950 for my first wristwatch. I've always carried a cellphone to keep time, but I wanted something a little classier. It is a great looking watch and I love that I can use the bezel as a timer. However it is too nice to wear at work where it may be covered in dirt, dust, or get knocked around. So I recently bought a 741 Aviator. It has a nice large face with easy to read numbers. The canvas strap is more comfortable for 10 hour work shifts. It came with an extra wrist strap but the green one is my favorite.
All in all, from form to function to even the presentation in the box, I have been very impressed with Stuhrling as a brand. I get compliments all the time on my watches. I will probably give them as gifts to my family in the future.”
