Avoid this company at all costs. When we arrived, they tried to scam us by saying we needed an international driver’s license—even though we’ve rented cars all over the world without one and it's not a legal requirement in this country. Because we didn’t have one, they tried to charge us twice the original rental price. Total bait-and-switch. To make things worse, the person who was supposed to pick us up from the airport was extremely rude, unhelpful, and nearly impossible to find. We spent a ridiculous amount of time wandering around trying to locate them, only to be met with attitude and zero customer service. This company is shady, unprofessional, and clearly preys on travelers. Save yourself the headache and go with a reputable rental agency.

When we arrived at the car rental location, we were denied the rental because the main driver's name did not match the credit card holder's name. To resolve this issue, we were asked to pay an additional fee of approximately €350. When we refused to pay, we were told that the amount we had already paid would not be refunded. I then pointed out a nearby car rental company where we could get a better offer. In response, the rental company lowered the additional fee to €278 – which was still higher than our original rental payment. The entire situation felt unreasonable and unfair, as we had no choice but to pay a disproportionately high extra fee. Additionally, both the car rental staff were rude and unprofessional.

Disaster! The car was a wreck, with over 17,000 km! The service light was on and the car was too loud. Error messages kept popping up on the speedometer. Not recommended at all, never again!

When I returned the car, they asked me for 10 euros for the dirty car. This is completely wrong, because when I got the car, it was already dirty. I also made a video. On the penultimate day of the rental period, I washed the car completely with soap. The roads were dry. Since I was in a hurry when I returned the car, I didn't argue with the employee. This is the second time that the same car rental company has asked me for more money when returning a car, claiming that the car was dirtier than at the beginning of the rental period. The first time I had to pay 20 euros. This is not an okay attitude.

No había la posibilidad de contratar un seguro a todo riesgo, así que nos cobraron 100€ de depósito que nunca nos devolvieron. Ellos mismos (tienen los coches localizados) se encargaron de robarnos un espejito del retrovisor (quién va a robar una pieza que cuesta 5 o 6€) y por eso se quedaron ese depósito. Una estafa en toda regla.

Another case of failure to return the deposit. Paid a deposit of £1500. Returned the car on time no issues with the car and signed off as returned in good condition, right amount of fuel etc. Told refund of deposit would be made in 14 days as they needed to check there had been no tickets issued against the car while on hire. FYI they don’t need to hold the deposit because if there was a ticket they could give the driver’s details to the authorities and forward the ticket on. 21 days pass and no refund. Tried calling them multiple times but company refused to answer and cut me off. Eventually got through. Company accepted refund was due but that it takes 14 working days. When pointed out that wasn’t what they originally said and that in any case 14 business days had already passed they then claimed their admin staff had been on holiday and this had delayed payments by a week. Clearly a lie. Although the company trades as Surprice Car Rentals the deposits are paid to a different company. Looks like a scam set up. Have reported it to my credit card company.

Pick literally any other car company in florence. Surprice was super sketchy, the online price is inaccurate, the location did not match the address online, they're a long walk from all the other rentals, and we waited in line for hours despite having only 2 customers in front of us.

We were 1 minute late to call them to pick us up at the airport. Our car was already rented to someone else… they proposed a smaller car for a higher price… everyone who returned their rented car had to pay something extra… for ‘damage’ or something else… stay away from this company…

I rented a car with Surprice Italy ( Naples ) road Expedia website. I paid partly the rents . I arrived late at their specific address on the date , they advised me that the car I rented is gone and forced me to rent a luxury car with a handsome upgrades rents instead. I left with nomothwr choices but to accept it as they left with the only car. Then they advised Expedia that I never show up and forfeited my deposit paid earlier. Stay Away from this Dishonest Car Rental company !

The car was fine but rather than making a credit card hold for the deposit, as is usual, they charged the 1500gbp deposit to my card. Because I was using a euro denominated card I lost money due to my bank's exchange rate margins. This more than doubled the real cost of my rental. I requested a refund of the incurred loss to no avail. If you have a foreign credit card please make sure they only make a hold on your credit card for the deposit. They should not make a charge on your credit card.

I hired a car for one day back in November. I am still waiting for my £500 deposit to be returned. Absolutely ridiculous! Barely any contact, they take ages to reply to emails. Save yourself aggrevation and book with another car hire company. Will never use again!!!!

I arrived at Bergamo Airport to pick up my rental car, only to face an unhelpful and rude receptionist who arbitrarily refused my credit card. Despite meeting all the terms, I was denied service with no valid explanation, wasting my time and causing unnecessary frustration. Such experiences highlight the company’s lack of oversight and customer care.

This was a horrible company to rent from. We arrived on Christmas week to find that they have our car away. They scheduled our pick up time for before our plane even took off from our 7 hour flight! Absolutely ridiculous that they refused to give us a refund! What a horrible company. I will never rent from them again!
