I can't believe I nearly fell for this. I was just about to click on the button to buy some credits and get started and thought I would do a quick Google search first to see what other people make of Swoggi. The worst thing is I found about Swoggi from the MSN homepage in the top stories section someone had made a blog page about how to buy cheap electronics!

DO NOT SIGN UP UNLESS YOU WISH TO BE RIPPED OFF!! They charge you to sign up and charge you every time you bid on an item! When you realise you are been ripped off and try to deactivate your account and get your remaining credits back they charge you again... a whopping £15.00!! Stay clear....

Feel like I have been mugged, this site is outrageous. Google should ensure that the reviews are the first point of contact. I am yet to find a positive review its a CON.

Thanks for the feedback , not invested As a result. For the record the page that took me to swoggie was called money expert , an obvious play on the Martin Lewis money savings expert , not the same . Hopefully these reviews will save more people like me from wasting money. Worrying this is the link to "money expert" was on sky sports app, shame on you sky !

If you kick up a lot of stink you can actually get a full refund like I did. Just tell them that you will get consumer watchdogs, trading standards and 'Dom' involved (cowboy builders, rogue traders, etc.)

I lost £250 on this Swoggi site, it is an absolute con, it makes you think you are in with a chance of wining & that they limit 8 wins per month per user - false sense of security!! but I didn't get anything for my £ 250 credit, I lost every penny. Its a Joke - KEEP AWAY & DO NOT REGISTER - Use EBAY TO BID - it is safer and straight forward.

These people are Thieving robbing BASTARDS! And that's putting it mildly, I thought it was an auction site (like eBay) and I thought I was biddiind (not BETTING) in increments of a penny each time! How naive I am! Luckily I only got robbed of £15, but I'm out of work at the moment and I wanted a phone, which I thought I could bid on for a small amount, I wish I'd seen all these reviews before I lost my money! I've contacted PayPal and asked how they can have anything to do with these robbing bastards, because that's what they are. To anyone who's thinking of using this site, DON'T, go throw your money down the loo.

I was silly enough to register with swoggi thinking it was similar to ebay but No! they took £50 out of my account straight away, I contacted them and explained the situation and the reply was I had £44.50 which i could have back but they would also take£15 off for other charges. So would only really get £29.50 back. again I explained that I had not purchased anything so felt they should waiver any charges and give me a full refund. Still waiting for a reply. PLEASE AVOID THIS SITE ITS A COMPLETE RIP OFF

I was conned out of £120 by these scam artists before I knew it ....nothing is explained . I purchased £50 of so called credits and before I knew it another £60 was taken ... I paid through paypal via my bank so I felt very protected .. when I contacted my bank { to cancel my card .. fearful more would be taken } and paypal they both wanted nothing to do with it .. something has to be done about this site I am amazed they are allowed to scam people in this way SHOCKING !!!

I, unfortunately, was also sucked into this scam and I never enter these things. I thought that I was paying $50 but $100 was taken from my account almost immediately before I could stop it. I put one bid on an i-Pad and then left the site. Every time I try to re-enter I'm told that my password is incorrect even though I know it is not, I'm told that an e-mail will be sent with my password, but it never arrives even though I've tried many times. there are no phone numbers, of course, so no way of contacting anyone. I'm going to see what I can do to get my money back.

Let there be no doubt in anyone's mind that Swoggi is a barely "legitimate" SCAM. Let me define for you the term "scam". I consider a scam to be some system that draws funding from a customer base with very little, if any chance that it will deliver a return of product or value for the investment. Swoggi takes your money without properly explaining the risks involved and how quickly your money disappear from Swoggi Credits (which are usable) to premium Credits which are not, unless you invest more money in the SCAM. Your chances of actually getting a good deal at an auction for anything worthwhile are tiny. My recommendation, having lost a significant sum - DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR SWOGGI!! There is no such thing as a free lunch. Geoff

Another sucker here . I was also sent to the site from a different website that was shouting about how cool doggie was and after a little thought and quick look ,I figured that if it was genuine then "what a wicked idea " ,after my first deposit and several boring hours I was left with nothing .I then spent a few days just watching the site and testing out my scam possibilities .SORRY but either it's a total scam with auto bots working for the site or the way the site and the rules work make it just a total waste of time and you will be left feeling like a total plonker . I think maybe a few sales are allowed through now and then so there is a small chance you will be lucky but it would be really interesting to know just how many people leave the site happy and with a bargain .here's my observation of the last few days . star wars knife set = valued at £90 (just a set of knives ) the entire auction was a battle between 2 names from start to finish .now and again someone would put a bid in but it was unbelievable to watch and I can't believe that 2 REAL people were doing it .it lasted over 24hrs with the same 2 names and was stopped at a sale price of £30.61 .that's 3061 bids each costing 50p. That means each bidder paid over £1000 for a knife set worth £90 . maybe it was a couple of rich bored people .either way scam or real ,when the names involved are on screen it means don't bother to bid because you WONT win ,unless it is a scam and the site operators decide to let you win . I continued to watch and checked out what the names bid on etc and I might be wrong but I think it's just a great big scam .it is possible that someone might be happy to pay a grand for a knife set but drop out of a iPad sale .certain regular names are never on the same auction but stop and change .enough .I had to try and save someone a big waste of time and money .

My first introduction to Swoggi was through one of those money type sites and so I thought it was a legitimate auction site. So, guess what, I signed up to it and paid £25 through Paypal for 50 credits and started bidding. The bid increases by 1p per bid for which you pay 50p and it is forever dropping to 1 second to go and guess what, goes to another few seconds because, someone else has bid, or the system is set to automatically bid until Swoggi's price is achieved. Think of the figures here, I started for an Ipad at £17.00, the bid increments of 1p were charged at 50p per bid. I watched it go up to £187,17 - that is £170 worth of 1p bids charged at 50p/bid. So, Swoggi earned 170 x 100 x .5 = £8500 - for an Ipad?????
