Within 2 days of using Body Shop's shea butter, I got a terrible allergic reaction followed by rashes all over my body. Two weeks went by and I'm still fighting the consequences. These products are very much parfumed and scented, and should not be used by people with sensitivities to cosmetics, even though their slogan is 'organic' or 'natural'.

The customer service is not 'service'. They never pick up the phone, only reply to email in 3-4 days, it's really annoying if you need to modify something in your order. Therefore I would not recommend the online shopping at The Body Shop.

Their website for returns or complaints is useless. There is no email address and the phone lines don’t get picked up even within the times listed. The ‘contact form’ just takes you around in circles to a list of closed options. I have returned my order and have not received any notification or money a month later yet cannot actually query what has happened.

The sale was a scam. I bought 1 to one offer and just got one product. when I called the CC they said I had to select one more bottle. Now that I know that's happned the have a clause the product can't be delivered if it's delivered. Can u belive this scam. When u have already select the offer option why so much complications. Cheated. 4500 was the product cost.

I started using the drop of light and other face products that I was advised in the shop… three months now my face is full of pimples now when I approached the shop they denied it’s the product note that I only was using their products now I can’t even do makeup. My face is ruined.

I shopped with the body shop when it first opened but just bought hand cream in a tube amongst other things in a parcel that wasn’t bashed at all but the tube was mangled , so if I squeezed it the tube would break and the cream dry out. I was told they expect this to happen as they are using new sustainable packaging and would not replace as the same thing would happen and that the cream would be fine. No refund , a reply that makes no sense ,I wont be back now , I am for sustainability but it has to work, it looked like it had been jumped on

I was a frequent purchaser of your products. I was very disappointed to see the removal of website sales.  The closest store is over 45 minutes away from me so online ordering is my main source of purchase.  I made a special trip to Nisku, Alberta to get the products. When i got there, my product was not on the shelf (sold out i was told). The Vitamin C day cream. This is another reason why i prefer online sales so things like this don't happen. i am out of the product so chose a different product that was similiar until the other come back in stock.            When i went to go pay, i was told gift cards are not accepted due to re-structuring. This was my last straw. i walked out of your store and will not be back. You have lost a customer. I hope you figure out your business plan sooner than later.

The body shop will not accept my recently bought gift card. How is that not theft!?! I'm VERY UPSET! They need to honor their gift cards. Especially after having been a loyal customer for over 20 years

Another company now tanked and left customers hanging with unused loyalty points. The program is scrapped and all those points and coupons down the toilet. Company wants you to be loyal to them but does not reciprocate.

I bought a lipstick from Body Shop 2 months ago. It has active fungus growing on it. This is the first time I have seen something like this. And they refuse to compensate me. I am very disappointed

I can’t believe how this company has changed from what it was in the 80s & 90s. The biggest mistake you ever made was changing the White Musk Perfume Oil, your BIGGEST seller. When I try and contact customer service about it, they are rude, uninformed and dismissive. You claim you changed it because people complained about Parabens, well so? I don’t go to a steak house if I’m a vegetarian and complain about them serving meat. If you don’t want parabens, DONT BUY THE PERFUME. but you took it from all the rest of us and replaced it with some bug spray acidic product that is DISGUSTING. no wonder you’ré going out of business.

ABSOLUTELY the WORST website EVER. customer service is equally as bad. Try to 'login' is like trying to get into heaven.....a NIGHTMARE. The freebies have not been available for ever. I buy (bought) often on the outlet page, bc I pass out at homeless shelters for women. Once again the webpage is 'down' again. Ill have to look at bath and body and do my own bags, or molton brown. I've been a body shop customer since 1998....but time to move on.

So I have been buying the Hemp heavy duty moisturizer for years. Not only is it no longer available on their website but they sell something that looks just like it purposely to trick customers. I used to buy a 6.7 oz tub for about $20. Now they have a small tub that looks exactly the same in their advertising as the large tub for about $20. You think you are buying the product you always purchased but when it shows up its ONLY 1.7 0z! SO THEY F**K YOU OUT OF 5 oz of PRODUCT!!!!! Total scumbag move!!

Body shop buy 1 get 1 one offer for members inn selective products only and those are expiring May 24 to aug 24. They are not doing any favour to members. Becoming member is sin.

The Body Shop online website took my order, took my money, then failed to deliver after they had emailed me to say the item had been shipped. No communication, failed to respond to emails (the only way I could contact them as Chat was not working), eventually was able to contact them via Chat to find out where my order was. 'It's not in stock' was their response. 'But it was in stock when I ordered it, you took my money, and then told me it had been shipped', I said. 'Ah, sorry for any convenience, do you want your money back - that will take up to 5 days' was all I got back. Basically left me 2 days to get some kind of replacement gift, so no chance of ordering anything online, cost me a few hours in trying to get something from the shops. If I hadn't made the effort to contact them (which they did not make easy), I would probably still be waiting for some communication from them. Shocking customer experience - be warned about ordering anything for Christmas from them. Not only is there a good chance that they'll fail to deliver. They'll also not communicate this to you and leave you to do all the chasing. If you really want to order anything from The Body Shop you need to physically visit the store. If you can't do this, then I would suggest ordering from somewhere else to avoid a lot of wasted time and money.

I just wanted to say after using white musk oil for over 40 years l am very disappointed in what u sell now. Doesn't smell for long at all, the applicator is a ridiculous design and cost more. I will not be buying this rubbish ever again. Plus sales person had no idea.

I have been buying Body Shop soap bars for the last 25 years. I mostly buy the grapefruit, strawberry and mango bars. The last few times I have bought the bars, I have been extremely disappointed with the new shape, smell and consistency of the soap bars. They are now square bars versus the rounded shape. They also do not smell the same nor do they feel the same. I have decided against buying these soap bars any more. This is very disappointing as I had become very comfortable with the soap products over the past 25 years. It is very sad that the Body Shop felt they had to change this product so drastically.

I placed this order on Early morning Thursday around 3 am I was supposed to receive this order on Friday but I never did. I had a chat with one of your colleagues who assured me that I will receive this package before the end of the day Friday. I never received it. I had a flight early morning today and this was supposed to be a gift for my mother. I have left the country now so there’s no need to send this order anymore. I promise you I will never look in your direction anymore as you guys have lied to me twice. I m embarrassed that I didn’t get my mother her gift and it’s all because I believed in you. It really is a shame that business like yours exist. I will make sure that neither me or anyone I know does any business with you guys as you are very unreliable and are bunch of liars. Please give me my money back and expect this message to land on your Google reviews or any place where people rate you. Really shame on you guys

Horrible experience ordering some stuff online. Five days after I ordered, no evidence of anything being shipped, no notification. Then I insisted on canceling the order via their chat. That person promised to do that and email me. Nothing. Today (day 6) I see online that finally "a label has been created", obviously because I asked to cancel. No update on delivery. No email. I don't want their stuff any more but I seem not to be able to cancel. NEVER AGAIN.
