“Ordered 12 lb of medium green chile. When they arrived in Ohio they were fresh, very fragrant, and good size. Very pleased. I also purchased a chile roaster and it works well. Thank you! I will be a return customer.”

“I thought the chilies were amazing! The only problem that I had is they started going bad after two days at our home. The only thing we can think of is that it was very hot and the box of chilies were left on our porch in the summer heat, but other than that, they taste great!”

“My family and I live in Pa. For the last 24 years. We lived in TorC for 15 years. Moving to Pa has its drawbacks and one of them is not being able to get Hatch chilis. We have ordered green and red over the years and always great quality from your company. Never had a spoilage problem with the delivery. Keep up the good work!”

“I got an email saying that my chiles would be shipped on 7/26, with shipping info sent to FedEx on 7/23. I check the tracking, and it says they created a label and will send info once they have the package. Today 8/6, I get this email asking if I am enjoying my chiles. Where are they? Are they ever going to arrive? Have they been shipped? So far, not impressed.”

“I've roasted fresh hatch chilies for over 20 years. Previously I ordered them from Hatch Chilie Express that was able to ship them to me at a set date for a Labor Day weeked chili roast party. Sadly, the stopped shipping fresh chilies. Happily though I found The Hatch Chilie store, and after a bit of learning last year (I tried ordering them in late August and learned about the ordering "line" - and thus missed having a weekend event). Having learned my lesson, I pre-ordered this year in early June. To my great fortune this put me near the front of the line and I promptly received my order of Big Jim via 2 day Fed Ex from the first week of harvest. They were the BEST EVER. Large, fresh, and oh so firm after roasting (yes I made a fresh batch of stuffed chilis that day!) I was lucky to get my order before the unusually long hot weather impacted the harvest, so I recommend you pre-order every year to not be disappointed. My order was efficiently handled, they kept me apprised via e-mail as to the status, and while I usually don't subscribe to e-mails, I have found their frequent recipe e-mails a delight - several of which I have tried! I'm likely to run out of recently roasted and frozen chilis before next year! I've yet to try their canned/bottled products but suspect I won't be disappointed if I do. These folks are the BEST!”

“My chilies showed up in perfect shape not 1 bad one in the batch of 25 pounds, packed to perfection. I buy Sandia a very tasty chile. There are hotter ones and cooler ones but if flavor is what you're interested in I suggest the Sandia's they're fantastic.”

“Ordered the Medium Hatch Green Chili And was disappointed when it was mild. Needed it a bit hotter. However the arrival was in great shape - roasted it immediately. Great job on the delivery. Next time when one orders medium please send medium. Thank You”

“The smell while we roasted the chilies on the grill was heavenly. I grew up in New Mexico and it reminded me of my childhood. I went to went to college in Las Cruces and went to many chili roasts around the area and absolutely love anything that has green chilies in it.”

“Growing up in "The Land of Enchantment", I have always looked forward to the end of Summer. It meant that for a few weeks, the air would be full of the smell of roasting chiles. It brings back memories of grandma and mom making fresh tortillas, whilst the men folk roasted the chiles. Laughs and stories were always an accompaniment to the festivities. If we kids were good (even if not so) we were treated to warm tortillas with a Big Jim wrapped up in the middle. Every year I order from you, I get a chance to relive those happy times of childhood that I've shared with my children and they with theirs. We buy in bulk, roast, package and freeze so we have them all year round. Living in Louisiana, you just can't get good chile and to me, life without chile is no life at all. Cheers to all of you who make this possible year after year.”

“Pam was very patient with me in addressing an issue I had with the amount of spoiled chiles due to some confusion about the shipping. I’m grateful that she send me a second 25 lbs. to replace the amount that had spoiled. Thank you Pam. However, I do have a question. After ordering 50lbs. I received only one box labeled 25 lbs. Is the additional 25lbs also included in the same box?”

“I do understand that the weather affects the crop. However, in the 40 years that I have been buying and roasting peppers - previously from other suppliers but a few years from you - this year's shipment has been the poorest. The raw weight may be the same, but the yield ended up low and the time required to slip the peels was way longer due to the thinness of most of the peppers. I would like to continue ordering from you in the future but wonder if there is a way you could sort to send only your typical robust pods. I'm sure you can still use the very thin ones for one of your ground products. Btw, on the bright side, this year, shipping went very well and the product was not substantially spoiled by arrival. Thanks, Joe”
