I ordered an engraved lighter and received a plain one instead. I tried contacting The Lighter Shop in 3 different ways and didn't hear anything back, it's now been a few weeks and I have given up and will have to pay extra for somewhere else to engrave it. That being said, delivery was quick.

I have recently ordered and received a matte green zippo of which I had request it to be engraved with my husband's initials. I placed the order and I immediately emailed the engraving@ email provided on the website as I wanted the engraved letters to positioned in the bottom corner and not central as the options to choose from were limited on the main site and they advised to do this if you wanted anything different. I never had a response and had assumed (of which I now know not too) it had been all fine to make the changes as only simple. About a week or so later the lighter turned up. Firstly, the amendments to my email request were never actions, secondly I have emailed every email address on the site several times to address the above and have to date not received a response (and I have even been keeping an eye on my Junk folder), I have given them a week and still nothing. I am not normally one to leave a review but this is a miss sold product with the poorest customer service I have ever received. I am extremely let down and disappointed by this company. Before ordering I relied on the reviews on these pages, as this is not something I would normally purchase as it is gift, so I felt for people out there like me need to know this company is not all it is made out to be by the reviews left. I am sure others have received what they were after or had good customer service but in this instance, this is not the case.

I ordered a Zippo lighter for a birthday present. I paid £2.95 and was told delivery would be 3 days. I still hadn’t received it 13 days later. I missed the birthday and had to buy something else as I didn’t have a gift. I appreciate that you have no control over the post but I think that wait was unacceptable. I e mailed twice about it and I’m still waiting for a reply. Thanks

Do not use website on any touchscreen phone as the selection wheels aren’t that practical, I bought a custom lighter with engraving, chose a certain font and when the lighter came I realised the font was not what I chose, checked the font on the order sheet that came with the lighter and went back on to the website and found that the font I chose was one or two spaces above the one given, I sent an email to see if anything could be done and had no response

Bought personalised lighter didn’t engraved the name the way i wanted emailed twice never got any response in 2 weeks never got any guarantee certificate really disappointed ☹️

Hello Faye, I'm sorry to hear that you had an issue with your lighter and that you felt that you had to leave a negative review. I would first advise to check which fuel you have used - it should be petrol lighter fluid (not gas). In the majority of cases of the lighter not working, it is because people have either used the wrong fuel, or even not put any fuel in at all! Lovely looking lighter arrived however the dragon face on the top fell off and had only been superficially glued on on the second use on Christmas Day! Very disappointed as I would have hoped for better quality for the price. Will not return to shop again. Would not recommend.

After placing my order I received NO confirmation from the seller that my order had been received or was being processed. I decided my next course of action would be to contact them myself but found they have no contact number, only an email address. I sent the first email a day after my order to check my order had been received, accepted and was in the pipeline to be processed but a day passed with no response (despite a note on their website stating they endeavour to respond to emails within a day!!). I emailed on two further occasions with no response and was quite frankly fed up as my account had been debited at this point. After which time I decided I should contact my bank to start a VISA DISPUTE because I assumed by this point that the company was a con and I'd never receive my goods! However, the lighter did arrive and in pretty good nick too to my surprise. I have emailed the seller to advise in future they should respond to ALL EMAILS and at least have to courtesy to confirm the order has been accepted/processed. Because of all of this, I would rate the service as poor and advise potential customers to AVOID this seller!!!

when i ordered the purchase i made a mistake on the engraving and emailed in about it but i never got a reply back from the company, and when i received the item was spelt completely wrong by engraving a L where the G should have been

I have ordered a blue engraved zippo and was very disappointed with the colour and quality. The blue (Sapphire Zippo Lighter 20446 ) is nothing like the blue displayed online and the quality of the zippo is not very good as the lid is a little unsteady. Item arrived very quickly, however no one called me upon delivery like I have requested in the notes. I would not use this website again.

Not overly impressed, lighter had all scratches down sides. Was too late to send back because was a birthday gift.
