Gaslighting! Staff refused to refund a useless product that we’d bought 2 weeks prior. 3 unapologetic and unsympathetic all white staff including the manager ganged up on us (2 non-caucasian women) and subjected us to a humiliating ordeal in store, dismantling the product part by part to try and prove that we were at fault, and the product was absolutely fine! Staff kept twisting the words we had said and when we asked them to stop, they just kept on going, agreeing with each other while other staff just looked on! Cannot believe this behavior can happen in 2023! I never write reviews, but sharing this toxic experience so others can know what sort of business this is.

I tried to return a faulty tornado lava type lamp today, that had stopped working after a couple of days. Took it back to The Range with my receipt and they called the lighting department. A very young woman came and took my lamp and shook it and banged it with her hand hard,several times and the tornado started turning again. She said that the cog had dislodged and that it was fixed now. I said that it was faulty and if it did that again, it could overheat the motor and could be a fire hazard, ,both assistants said that she'd repaired it and that I would have to keep it ! I insisted on speaking to the manager, and he agreed that it was now repaired and that I would have to keep it. I argued that it was dangerous and after a long time, he finally said that he would refund me as a good will gesture! Absolutely shocking and extremely dangerous to insist that it was now safe and repaired.

What went wrong..... Ordered and paid for a dining table and chairs 28 Nov 2022. Plenty of time to be delivered for Christmas. The delivery company was arrowxl chairs wa to be delivered 14 Dec and table 15 Dec. Got the chairs table never came 15 due to no driving hours. Waste of a booked day of work. Was rebooked for the 19 never came. Another day booked of wasted. No one got in touch I rang arrowxl to be told they couldn't find the table. Then on the 22 Dec got a msg which was connected to the original delivery link saying the table was in the depot. No one got InTouch so I rang again and was told we could rebook it no apology. Was rebooked for Jan 3 between 2 and four didn't turn up so rang again was told they was running late. Half five it turned up. We had no dining table for Christmas dinner. Had a lot of stress and disappointment. Will never buy big items from the range again whilst the range use arrowxl. And will be telling everyone I know not to buy big items. I also rang my local range to tell them about the situation and they never did anything. Worst experience of my life....

Trying to get a returns forms to return goods delivered damaged mostly by their bad packing ….. after many attempts to contact them to no avail guess I paid at least £40 for items n spent next £40 on phone calls …., disgusting company that needs to be banned from trading …..

This review is actually for the Iceland cafe in the range canterbury, Kent. Appalling service, never more than one staff member, on two occasions we have been totally ignored as the staff member was doing the meals and not available to do anything else!

If I could mark zero I would, so poor has the Range’s performance been over this issue. I ordered a bed on line and delivery was arranged to my home. 1st attempt, the delivery should have contained three packages, only two were on the van, so the delivery was aborted. 2nd attempt, a date and time were given, I booked a day off work, but the van and the goods were both lost in transit. 3rd attempt, three packages were delivered and unpacked. However no fittings or instructions were included. I contacted Range Customer Service. The Adviser told me to source the fittings myself and construct the bed. I asked to speak to his manager if he could not offer anything more constructive and he hung up on me. I then contacted the Stoke store, spoke to one of their staff who was more sympathetic, said he would try to find the appropriate fittings and instructions. 48 hours later I have still heard nothing. I have a bed in pieces and a nine year old sleeping on the floor. I’m not impressed with the Range and their customer service is appalling.

I bought a dining chair online from The Range and after opening the box decided it wasn’t worth the money I paid! I emailed The Range the same day regarding a return and they replied the same day asking for the order number! I replied with what they asked me to provide and three emails later had still not had any response! I then called the number provided on their website, and hour later of being on hold finally spoke to someone! What a waste of time as they are not able to process a return and refund, and had to email a company for my return/refund! I have still not heard back from anyone so again emailed customer service, and surprise, no reply! I gave them until end of day yesterday so now I’m going to take it to the highest level outside of customer service! Absolutely disgusting customer service, and ridiculous that I can’t take to a store which would be a lot easier than waiting on useless staff!

Went to buy reduced xmas stock. Nothing was priced ...misleading discount signs. Have to take items to the till to get prices....staff dont know how to process discounts. Was told a discounted and damaged item was £7.50 ..i said ok...then it went up to £8.99 ?? Was told the discount was 40% not 50% They make up prices as they go along. Has put me off using the Range. Need to know prices BEFORE you get to the till .

Terrible customer service, you get a reply from them once a day and they are very unhelpful in each reply. They delivered a damaged dog cage but seem to do all they can to not find a resolution.

Received a defective item, contacted the Range, uploaded photos ect and never got a reply. Escalated with PayPal and after 22 days got refunded. Stay away from the range, awful quality products and customer service evasive, a pain to deal with.

We bought 5 bar stools this time last year. The chairs themselves look nice. How ever after a few months we noticed they were starting to lean over when sitting on them. We do not use the chairs every day and we sit on different ones each time. After 8 months 4 out of the 5 are completely broke you are totally unable to sit on them. The plate at the bottom is all twisted. These cost near £500 an have been treated well. I made a complaint to the range online. We got told as we were 9 months in there 6 months return policy isn't not in warranty. So going back to the manufacturer under the 12 month guarantee is our only option. In order for them to processed. I was told At my own expense. I need to get a vat registered company to examine the chairs and give a full product report upon asking who I should be contacting for this . The ranges response was simple that's down to you. ???? . I have had 2 fabrication company's look at the chairs and both there response was the same. The plate welded underneath is clearly not thick and strong enough for its purpose. Unfortunately one company was not vat registered and the other does not want to give a report out to it possibly ending up with in the middle of a ongoing dispute. I wish I could attach a picture of these chairs so people can see the state of them after such a short period of time. We are a very house proud family and everything in it gets looked after. The product from the range is terrible and the ranges response along with help and guidance is disgraceful. I have contacted citizens advice to help with matters.

Utterly terrible customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I made the mistake of buying a toilet seat. The package stated it would "fit most standard toilet seats". I have two toilets in my home, and the seat would not fit either of them. I took the seat back, only to be told they could not accept it because I had broken the seal making the item unhygienic. The correct thing would have been to reimburse me and to send the seat back to the manufacturer as being unfit for purpose. The shop assistant gave me their head office number, but there were 52 people in the queue before me. They are a hopeless company that does not deserve to survive for long. I for one will never shop there again!

Unfortunately not able to give below a 1 star. Writing this review to warn future customers of the appalling customer service provided by the Range. Our new bed arrived after three weeks - broken, and with the box ripped and material scuffed and wood damaged. We requested a replacement, due to arrive weeks later. On the day the delivery company did not turn up, and we discovered the bed had been lost / not placed on the van - no new delivery date provided and all the Range could do was ask us to contact the courier, taking no responsibility for their chosen delivery provider. When trying to request a refund, on the basis the item is faulty, with no new one guaranteed, we were refused and asked to return the bed first. However, with the delivery company so unreliable we are not in a position to trust that this will be delivered on time / in full / at all. We've spent hours on the phone trying to resolve, and the customer assistant's response to being unable to help, was to simply hang up. Save yourself the hassle and money and go elsewhere!

Place an order with the promise to get it within 3-5 working days. Right after the payment, they sent an email that it will be delayed for a week. The real delay was more than 2 weeks. And the Parsell (table) arrived without table legs. So I got a useless piece of glace instead of a table. No one responce to emails, they promised 4 days, but nothing from their side. Called the service center, and after 90min in a queue, they asked for the order number and put the phone down. Have no idea how to deal with them. In the store, they do not want to talk about online orders.

Should be zero stars. Ordered online on 17th November. Was told to expect items on the 23rd November so I waited. Got to 23rd and an email was sent stating items will be dispatched on 25th and delivered on the 25th. Items picked up by DHL on 25th since til the 13th no delivery!! . Throughout the period of 4th December til the 12th I was emailing them and kept giving them my order number only to get an email stating 'what's your order number'!! Also I was told that I would have to contact them to cancel or return products but this is impossible as their phone lines were upto queues of 50 people!! Which under trading standards is unreasonable. This is because returns and cancellations procedures due to breach in contract should be accessible for the customers. On the 12th I tried to contact them again explaining that the order was decorations and now were too late and that I wanted the order cancelled as they had broken their delivery contract with me. After many unanswered emails and phonecalls with queues upto 56 people in waiting ( recorded it). Still no sort out finally an email from them stating to refuse parcel at door and it would be sent back. By the 13th December the order finally arrived and was refused as per their email. I updated them that the Order was refused. Early last week they emailed me stating that they have issued a full refund and they DHL has verified that the order is being sent back. Today is the 17th of December.. Over 4 weeks from the original order. I have received an email from DHL stating they are delivering my parcel today....huh?? I was told it was being sent back by the Range. Also I have had no refund.. And get this, this is just parcel one of the order. Parcel 2 was being sent and delivered the same day as parcel one ( and 23rd of December). Still no parcel 2 and no tracking information, no texts, nothing. I still don't know where my rug as gone. Emailed the customer services yet again ( 3 times now about the rug) and they keep saying they have emailed the department that delays with this and they will be in contact.... Its the 17th of December and no contact. I'm paying through clearpay for items I don't have. I'm sure that's theft. Over 4 weeks and nothing, no refund nothing. My advice - don't put yourself though what I'm going through. Dont think it wil be different either. Massive phone queues of 50 + people, over 30+ emails sent over a period of 4 weeks, no refund. It's not worth the stress. I'm disabled, I struggle with social anxiety so I shop online alot, this has out me off completely. Going forward I don't know what to do now. I don't understand how the can do this. I just want a refund.

Still not received my item which was due for delivery on 25 November. Have emailed Customer Services twice, no reply. When I called them I was in a queue for almost an hour before they cut the call off! I would never buy anything from them again. Daylight robbery. Not sure how they get away with it.
