“I ordered the tank over the 'phone from Julie, who was friendly and very helpful, on 8th August for delivery on 29th. We were emailed that it was in transit and it arrived at the bottom of the drive on the due day. The tank is very heavy and we had fun getting it up the drive into position (6 of us!). I knew that it was a kerbside delivery when I bought it, but as the tank comes with "eyes" welded on the top for lifting by crane, it would have been nice to have been offered this as a delivery option. The tank appears to be of excellent quality and the price was competitive, and I look forward to many years of satisfactory use out of it.”

Occasionally we can offer a lorry with an offloading crane, but this need to be quoted each time for the majority of suppliers (with the exception of Tuffa and Atlantis). “Tank arrived as arranged with a very helpful driver. The tank was undamaged except for a couple of scuffs on the paintwork. It is now installed and plumbed in and we await a delivery of Kerosene. Dealing with The Tank Shop has been simple, the delivery was as expected and it was nice to be contacted to arrange a convenient date.”

“Lack of contact for Transport, was told one day (didn’t even turn up after waiting in ALL day Friday) finally after the weekend i got a call Monday. Not happy after waiting in and 2 days off work”

Hi Barbara, Thank you for your review. We do apologise that the tank wasn't delivered on the Friday as you had been advised. When chasing this up the haulier advised that the delivery had "failed" and that would be re-delivered on the Monday (I personally emailed you regarding this on the Saturday). We contacted you with this information and you said you were going to check your CCTV. We haven't yet heard back from you with this evidence that we could pass onto the haulier and query their failed reason for not delivering. Unfortunately deliveries can fail from time to time and there could have been another reason for this. We do apologise that our service wasn't the 5 star that it usually is.

“First class service, swift despatch. I had ordered the wrong size valve fitting so they organised the correct one and collected the wrong one in 48hrs. All queries replied to in minutes and courtesy follow up to make sure all was ok. Plenty of companies out there could learn a thing or two about customer care from The Tank Shop.”
