Thompson cigar is a fake company. can't deliver. all phone calls go over seas, not based in USA...no customer service, no respect for working Americans. A company called Best Cigars, geographically 1.5 hours away (both in the state of Pennsylvanian) delivers on time and respects the customer

Tried 2 times to make the same order and get to the end of my order and it says each time that the order did not go through and to try again. The third time it goes through. Check my bank statement and there are three pending charges for the same amount. Of course their customer service line is closed on the weekend. So I email their support staff explaining what happened and that I only need one of the three orders. I included the order numbers in my email. Monday morning I get a email saying that orders ship 5am on Monday and that they were not able to cancel those orders and they can’t do anything. They say I will have to return the two orders when I receive them. Ok I think, should be fine. Go to ups and return 2 of my 3 orders. A few weeks goes by with no refund. Finally I get a refund for my order. I got two separate refunds and both were almost $30 less than what the original order was for. So I call their customer service line. I don’t think they could have worse customer service. Each time I call it’s 30 minutes sitting on hold waiting for a operator. Then when you get to a operator, they don’t even know what they are doing. I was constantly put on hold so they could talk to their supervisor. They finally say, your full refund should be processed in a couple days. So I check my bank statement and a refund of $16 was processed for each order. Still about $14 short per order of the original purchase price. Then I find the day after the refund was issued there was a charge from Thompson cigars to my credit card for $17. At this point I’m getting very annoyed and just want to be done with this terrible company. Call customer service, sit on hold for another half hour and finally get a hold of someone. Explain to her everything going on. She says she will get it fixed, but says there is a $8 return shipping charge taken out of the refund and offers my a credit for Thompson cigars towards my next order. At this point I don’t even want to be dealing with this company much less spending any more money with them. I tell her I don’t want a credit and that I want a full refund of the difference that I never received. After sitting on hold for another 15 minutes while she talks to her supervisor She said it should be a week for the refund to process. I have zero expectations of getting this resolved without pulling out my hair. Please do not order anything from this company if you value your sanity. Their customer service is terrible and good luck returning anything or getting any amount of a refund. This company is a joke and from other reviews sounds like I am not alone in having a terrible experience with Thompson cigars.

Product was not delivered. After two phone calls and two emails, they gave me a refund net of shipping. That’s awful service. One star is too generous.

Have been a customer for 19 years. This year has been horrible. Orders shipped with wrong cigars or never arrived. Called the company several times without any resolution. Will no longer purchase from Thompson

Placed my order Monday. Thursday they still haven't processed my order. I called customer service. Very unhelpful. No resolution. I asked to just refund my money. NO REFUND. NO PRODUCT. RIPPED OFF BY THOMPSON CIGAR!!!!!!!

Sorry to pile on with the negative reviews but Thomson needs to get its act together. Ordered cigars for golf tournament 3 1/2 weeks in advance. Called support. After waiting over an hour they promised to expedite delivery and said I would receive on time. Needless to say, I never received my order. They claim they are making improvements on their delivery process. The complete opposite is what I see. Sorry Thomson, you just lost a 15 year loyal customer.

Agreed with many prior reviews. I just purchased my favorite box - cigars AVO and they are very dry. I have purchased various names to try, and they are ALL dry. That is it for me, I will NOT buy again from them.

Great selection but the worst service ever. It’s a nightmare with age verification and time of delivery even if you pay for a two day delivery, you will still be calling after 7 days trying to get your order in. I had to send a picture of my driver license 3 times and still wasn’t able to get my order processed. Time to go to cigars online.com

Ordered from Thompson Cigar at 5:00 AM on 8/25/2022. Paid for and confirmed overnight delivery. During the day received no confirmation from Thompson Cigar. Received a confirmation e-mail this morning notifying me that my order had not been labeled until 11:44 last evening. Then received a notification from UPS that my order will be here Monday 8/29/2022. That is not overnight shipping. Then trying to their customer service is nightmare number two. Agent, based in Latin America, takes no responsibility for the issue. She does authorize a refund of the amount I paid for overnight shipping but has yet to send the requested e-mail confirmation. Thompson Cigar's customer service is hideous and this will be the last time I order from them. Tell your friends and acquaintances not to order from this company.

This is a horrible company. I ordered a sampler that comes with a torch lighter. The lighter stopped working within the first week. I called the company. I was on hold for literally 2 hours and 10 minutes one time and many other times for over an hour before I had to hang up. Instead of telling me where I am in the queue, they played this terrible music and left me to wonder. After trying for days, at different times and getting the same results, I finally got through to them. Stupidly, I ordered another sampler that also comes with a torch lighter. They said they would send a replacement lighter for the one that didn't work. Well, I got the second order, but the replacement lighter wasn't in it. AND ... the second torch lighter did the EXACT SAME THING, it worked for a few days and then stopped, just like the previous one. Never order anything from this company and never call them.

I ordered a gift for my husband two weeks ago. It was over $500. Thompsons Cigars charged my card twice and still hasn't sent my order. Dealing with their customer service is a nightmare. Save yourself the trouble and order from anywhere else. I will NEVER order from this horrible company again!

I went through my bank statement today and saw a charge for $14.95 from Thompson co. I had purchased cigars from Thompson several times but NEVER have I authorized anything recurring. I sent them an E mail demanding a refund for the entire year it was on there and removed all payment methods from my profile. Then I went on line and saw all the complaints about the same thing. Once I realized it was not simply and accident I called my bank, disputed all the charges and canceled my card. HUGE pain in my ass. Have to transfer all my auto pays items now. I will never use Thompson again.

My credit card was charged 14.95/month for unauthorized payments to a company called Thompson Co./ Total Values Plus. After 7 unauthorized charges, I contacted THOMPSON Co/TVPdemanding full refund, involvement with my bank, credit card company and informing state and local agencies as well as informing, educating and influencing victims, potential victims and consumers of these fraudulent practices of Thompson Cigar/TVP. I was refunded all money back my my CC.

I had problems with an order and submitted a support message through their website regarding this order and did not receive a reply after four business days. Not good customer service and it seems their 100% satisfaction guarantee is a myth. The order arrived damaged. The shipping box was torn and the inside box containing the item ordered was open and the cigars were loose in the shipping box. Also, the cigars were very dry, and the included lighter does not hold butane. I emailed their customer service and again did not receive a reply.

Same thing happened with me with Thompson cigars enrolling me in a Value Plus membership that has no benefits then charged my card for 14.95 month later. Called to cancel and complain but it goes to a call center (India presumably) and then they tried to keep me as a member by reducing the monthly cost to 9.95 a month, ridiculous! As I never knowingly agreed for this “service” in the first place. Call taker stated that I received an email ref the enrollment which I did not as I didn’t even know my “member number”. This is obviously a big scam and will never buy from them again. All Online cigar buyers BEWARE!

Ridiculous wait times for orders and online ordering often does not accept promo codes. SCANDINAVIAN tobacco group is amateurish and doesn't understand American marketing.

They suck very poor customer service wasted over 30 minutes on hold when they fucked up ky order then another 15 minutes wasted on the person from india trying to fix my order then i have to drive 3p minutes to a post office for a return they screwed up , there insult of an offer to fix it was 20. Dollars off my next purchase i said dont bother there wont be a next purchase DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BUYING HERE

I've never bought anything from Thompson Cigar until recently when I received something in the mail. $30 for 12 cigars. 2 of the 12 I've had before and are some of my favorites, so if nothing else it was worth it to me. The order came sooner than expected and included an entire humidor box, a humidifier, cigar cutter, cigar lighter, and a ton of coupons. The packaging was well cared for too. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. 5 out of 5 from me. I'll definitely buy from Thompson Cigar again!
