I phoned Timpson to enquire about a glass replacement for my watch. First off, the assistant seemed to be a little reticent. After some moments of thought they gave me a price. £45!!! Now if this had been a watch of considerable value then yes. But for an everyday, “cheap” timepiece, then NO! These prices are extortionate! I’ll never enquire about anything that Timpson trades with again. CROOKS!!!

I researched the cost of replacing the broken key online and realised that there was a part I could change myself if the part was available. I could not find the part so I went to Timpson Key and locksmiths at Park Farm Ashford. The guy quoted me up to £200 to replace the fob and reprogramme the key. I explained that it only needed a part replaced, but he insisted that it would cost about £200. He was very unhelpful so I told him I would do it myself. I eventually got the part, replaced the damaged key blade holder and now the key works perfectly. It cost me less than £15 to do it myself. I would advise anyone who has a broken or faulty Car Ignition Key Fob problem to research online first and avoid being ripped off by Timpsons and Fords.

I went in to get my watch battery changed, costing me £25. For this I thought I would at least get a professional service. They sadly managed to break the bolt that holds the metal strap together. Accidents happen, I get that and the chap was apologetic. Fast forward to numerous wasted visits back to the shop over 2 months as they repeatedly lied about 'ordering the part' (it was a simple bolt!) and I turned up only to be told they couldn't find it.... I was then informed it was 'ready to collect', yet when I put it on my wrist (still in the shop) the bolt fell apart again. They only repaired it when I complained to their head office and still have yet to receive a satisfactory resolution. Pretty dire.

I went in to the Bury shop in Tesco and the Dylan the assistant was extremely helpful the.He did a quick repair to one of my boots and said i didn't owe him anything. It was nice to now there are still good people who just don't want to rip you off. Dylan is a credit to the Company.

Convenient but massively overpriced. Needed 28 keys made up. Timpsons gave a massive talk with their quote saying the better the security on the lock the more it cost. They gave a minimum quote of £252. Went to the local shop in Bexhill and they done all 28 for £39.20. Bloke in store laughed when I told him. He said keys are very cheap to buy and take a minute to cut. I said to him I'll definitely be back. Don't let Timosons rip you off.

I used the dry cleaning service for curtains, very very expensive compared with suggested average prices online. Then had to sign a disclaimer in case of shrinkage!

I went into Timpson with my shoes the man said he couldn’t heel them while I waited ( even tho he was just sitting there ) they would be ready later in the afternoon. I couldn’t get back that afternoon so I went on the Thursday morning to find a notice on the shutter saying it broken and the shop wasn’t open. I phoned the number on the wall twice that day asking them to ring me. It’s now Friday no phone call. Never will I take anything else their again. I have to get a train to where the shop is. It would be nice to know when it’s going to be open. I needed the shoes the Thursday that. I went there. Never again.

I paid £17.99 for shoe repair in Romford arcade & was very dissatisfied & disappointed. Should have gone to a small business that would have done a better job and half the price !! The Finnish was tatty & glue not wiped off so bubble - would not use again. I will go to the small shoe repair outside Leytonstone station!!! Much better workmanship for £17.99 4/10

What a joke! Went in for a watch battery and was told it was going to be 50 odd pound. "But its a tag mate" was the guys reasoning. Yes but it's also 30 years old and prob worth not much more! Is it some luxury battery he was inserting instead?! Took it to the local cobblers instead for 7 quid.

I was quoted £50 to get a small size 5 ankle boot resoled ? Am I wrong in thinking that a bit steep ? The leather boots didn’t cost that much when new 🤔

Would give a minus but had to give a 1 star to right this review. How rude the lady was when I walked in to the Abergavenny branch today. Only went in for a battery for a watch but ended up walking out instead. The young lady should never be involved with the public. I have never come across anyone so rude and abrupt. I Will travel to another town in the future.

I found myself in a position to have to purchase a car key battery from the Blue Water store. I was charged £16.45 !!!! When checking online, I could have purchased a battery for under £2. The agent took less than 30 seconds to change said battery! What an absolute and total rip off. The one star is for the agent, who was polite and pleasant!

Mark at Timpsons in Batley is always very helpful and goes that extra mile, I have had several jewellery items where he has fixed something for free too. I would highly recommend Timpsons. Great work Mark

Adam at the Wakefield store really made my day today as I’ve got my wrist watch altered on Saturday by a different person paid a £10. But he never issued me a receipt, but the alteration wasn’t what I expected my fault I must admit. Going back today though to get it altered again Adam was a great help I explained to him what had happened he totally took it well and altered the on a good will gesture with no charges at all he had good customer service skill I will definitely recommend anyone to go Timoson thanks Adam I will see you again.

Would never deal with these people again and would strongly advise anyone thinking of using them Don't !!!!! I paid them, luckily through Paypal £55 for my Tissot watch to have a new battery and be resealed, but never received any response after the payment. Avoid these people at all costs.

Dreadful customer service from Allen and also overpriced. I needed to get some shoes reheeled urgently and therefore went to the shop at 4:45pm as they were not due to close until 5:30pm. I had medium sized plastic heels and was charged £14.95. Allen had a real attitude on him and did not want to do these whilst I was waiting despite it only taking him a few minutes. However when I explained that I was travelling so needed them there and then he went ahead and repaired them but not without getting into a grump first. Poor customer service. £14.95 also seemed really expensive for the work that was done.

Had to go to Timpson (Guildhall, Exeter) to get keys cut after another locksmith gave me key that didn't fit! Guy behind the counter was very polite, articulate, very knowledgeable and professional. The key cutting was very quick and reasonably priced (and they did fit!). Highly recommended.
