“Went to Wokingham branch . Arron took a snippet of hair off when I asked for a trim saying I could go back if it wasent enough. At £60 I dont want to go back! He refused to take more off. Bracknell branch had hair cut by scissor happy Darna who took about 4 inch off and absolutely no style to the hair and got charged £75. What is wrong with this hairdressers?? Absolutely awful place.”
“Worst experience ever…..I visited this salon to get highlights, which I have done multiple time at Grand Hyatt branch. Upon meeting with hairstylist called Hasan, I explained the color treatment I wanted. After performing a patch test, he proceeded with the highlights. Unfortunately, when the foils were removed, I was shocked to find that my hair was severely damaged and burned. The texture was compromised, and the color did not match my expectations.
I attempted to communicate my concerns to Hasan, but he was dismissive, and his manager was unsupportive, ignoring my complaints entirely. This treatment has caused significant damage to my hair, and I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer care. Don’t recommend to go there at all …be careful”
“Relocating from NYC area, I went to Toni & Guy Gilbert for cuts on a few occasions and then last autumn (2023) a Keritan treatment (because they do not do Brazilian, etc.) and hair was shiny, thick, etc. Then in June 2024 went for a $350 Keritan treatment - although stylist said they were using "newer" version went ahead and allowed her to apply - My hair color was completely stripped andeven drier than when I went in and for weeks later, my hair was falling out - although complained and stylist volunteered that yes the treatment stripped my hair colour and Toni and Guy offered a moisturising treatment... but not my $350 back for stripping my hair colour and loss of hair - would never, never let these people touch my hair again....”

They will not cover the cost to fix my hair in the form of hair extensions. This is the first review I have posted and I will continue until they cover the actual cost to fix my hair. Not 300 pounds only. This is unacceptable. I had an appointment for a balyage for two weeks after the cut - how was he going to balyage this? Its a disgrace I am a mixed race woman our hair takes years to grow, I had the longest hair of all my friends who are mixed - this will take 9-10 years to rectify, and I've got health problems enough that affect my hair growth you can't just cut peoples hair off like this. And then take no responsibility for 6 weeks. You've offered 300 pounds, and said you cannot negotiate so I was forced and bullied to take compensation that you devised the amount yourselves - when the quotes I obtained at the cheapest were 650 pounds and the highest came in at 950. So at this point I am at a minimal monetary loss of 350 pounds at least. Not to mention the mental impact of having my hair theived from me in that manner. My boyfriend just left me and that hair cut was suppossed to be a new start for me. I had an interview the very next day and they were just looking at me on Teams like I am a mad woman, BECAUSE OF TONI&GUY! I bet the boy who cut it still skips about the salon no bother not a care in the world, when he's just chopped off an ill womans hair that's going to take years to grow back and mentally you've added stress to my plate a hair appoinment should never end like this.”
“I am merely writing this review to voice my personal opinion. I bought the Toni and guy slimline straightner from Clicks. What a dissapointment. It was a steal for R399.99 but for me money wasted. The plates are so akwardly shaped. For me it is impossible to make a curl with that squared design. I usually love Toni and guy products but they really missed with this one. The only thing this useless design is good for is getting burned all over because its just not user friendly. If i could I would seriously take this monstrosity back and rather buy one of the house brand straightners at Clicks. 😢”

“Charging customers - never supply products ! it doesn’t matter what I do. I cannot get my order ! Or any tracking information from toni and guys for the last two weeks ! All my emails ignored and customer service replying that my order somewhere on the way but still No tracking details. I will use all my messages and emails to raise a transaction / purchase issue with my bank , I will provide all negative reviews online as possible. The most careless company I ever dealt with !”
“I am looking for a good salon to have my hair colour. I booked online a free colour consultation appointment with Toni and Guy in South Woodford London, it was my first time with this salon.
The online booking asked me to create and account and to enter my card payment details.
The consultation was free and I had no problems entering my card details. To complete the booking I had to tick a box that says “you won’t be charged anything and by ticking this box you agreed with our cancellation policy”.
There was not link or explanation of the policy. At that moment all I care was that it was clear nothing would be charged to my card, so I continue with the booking. I was very into attending the consultation.
I received several communications from this Salon and none of them warned me of the cancellation fees, on the contrary these all say ‘if you feel unwell call us.’
I started feeling cold symptoms soon after making the appointment, however I waited till the morning of the appointment to call to cancel as I really want to attend. But on the day I was feeling very bad and had lost my voice to a painful sore throat.
At not point during the cancellation, I was advised of the cancellation fees, is almost as this hair salon didn’t want me to know. I even received an email confirming my appointment had been cancelled, still no information about how much I’d be charged for cancelling.
A week later I saw the charge in my bank statement. I called the Salon and a lady kept saying I should’ve cancelled given 24hrs. My appointment was at 16:30 and I called at 09:45.
This was my first time at T&G, I gave an explanation why I couldn’t attend and have evidence to demonstrate my illness.
Thankfully, the cancellation for consultation is not a lot, but I still think is very wrong.
The Salon didn’t even try to make the charge fee clear to me, it was terribly misleading to say in their emails that I just need it call if feeling unwell.
I would’ve cancelled once I started to feel unwell, had I’ve been alerted to the charges. I very much wanted to attend, hence waited till the day to see if I would feel better.
This Salon took none of this and strongly refused to return the money.
This Salon must be very desperate to take measures like this, as they don’t care losing potential customers and prefer to be contented with charging a petty fine.
I’m now glad I have been put off, as I wouldn’t like to put my hair under the care of people who treat new clients like this.
Totally disgusted by the malicious behaviour of not properly alerting customers of their cancellation policy and happily charged new customers showing little interest in the reasons they couldn’t show up at their appointment, especially when I did call 7hrs earlier to let them know.
It’s not just about the petty charge but out of principle that I wouldn’t even consider going to this or any T&G salonI will make sure my friends learnt of my experience.
I’m attaching the box I had to tick in order to book, their duty of care was to include a link to the policy and for me to tick to confirm I had read it. I would’ve search for it myself if their emails hadn’t been so misleading.”
“I had a very bad experience at Toni and guy located in Mahaveer colony . They have only a very few professionals who are good and I had the worst experience . I opted for a senior stylist for hair do and she dint even know anything . She couldn’t even use the proper equipment’s for styling and she was behaving worse than a amateur !! She was literally hurting my head and even when I asked her to use the proper styling equipment as I have already done that particular hairstyle (tongs) there with another stylist I kept insisting yet she was giving random stupid reasons . The ac was also not working . Lack of equipment’s and lack of skill spoiling the reputation . If he they couldn’t do it they could have told that stylists are not available upfront . Totally a waste of money !! I would not recommend Toni and guy located in Mahaveer colony !”

Don’t waste your money!! I normally don’t take the time to write reviews but I can’t let this one go. I asked for a master colorist and got the job of a beginner. But of course paid full price. She left me hanging to go work on another client, asked someone else to finish my wash, and told I was finished. Walked out with wet dripping hair!!! When I called to complain I was told I received the standard treatment”
