I have booked holidays via Travel Republic on numerous occasions. We had booked to travel to Turkey at the end of April but due to Covid 19 this holiday was cancelled and true to their word Travel Republic refunded monies paid by me back into my bank account within seven weeks from our departure date. We had also booked a package holiday to Egypt in October which unfortunately was cancelled. I had received an email from Customer Support to advise the refund schedule of cancelled holidays. I then received a further email telling me that the refund would be paid out earlier than the 7 weeks following departure date. I have now received a full refund of all monies paid by me and am happy with the service provided.

If I could give them less I would. 24th June I contacted them first and then another 8 support requests later from then until now and no response. No other ways to get in contact with them other than their site. My holiday was meant to be early July and my flights were cancelled. Don’t book with them.

Been waiting over 70 days for a flight refund. Jet2 have sent the monies to travel Republic and they have not refunded me in turn. Despite having received the funds from Jet2 over 79 days ago. There is no way to contact them by phone and my last online request was closed without response. I will now have to contact trading standards to find out what my legal rights are. I fear this money will never be returned. I have used travel Republic many times before. That will not happen again instead I will go for a more expensive package deal as at least I know if there are issues I will be refunded and get a decent customer service.

Hadno problem cancelling my accomodation in Spain after the airline cancelled my flight, however since then i have rebooked an holiday for next year and wished to pay the balance, it does not accept my password, although i have changed it 5 times, help Margaret Terriza

We booked for Malta September 2019 for September 2020. Our flights were cancelled back in June. We left lots of emails but no reply. But the week before out departure date we got a phone call. They apologised for the delay has they had so many customers to deal with. We were offered a change of dates or a refund. Our refund arrived in bank account yesturday. So hang on in there. They will get to you eventually. Thank you Travel republic

Booked a hotel in September 2019 for a wedding in June 2020. I made an amendment in November 2019 because of this change I had to pay the full balance up frot. Which I did. COVID happened and due to travel ban we were unable to travel. I received a customer support message 16th June to say they have obtained a refund and they will process shortly. It is now end of October and I have had no response to any of my emails since. Still no refund. Their phone lines have been shut off so unable to contact them. DO NOT USE THEM.

Paid Travel Republic over £2000 for a Holiday in July which they cancelled, despite assurances to refund we have received a total of £15 back. Their phones have been switched of since August and there is no direct way to contact them. We have subsequently been contacted by a scammer with promises of a refund in an attempt for us to hand over bank and card details. Will never use Travel Republic again, as will our family, friends and colleagues.

Left high and Dry in Egypt. We found ourselves having to try to get back home shortly after arriving in Egypt. We had asked several times to postpone the holiday due to Covid but were repeatedly told to travel or lose our money. We were assured that if anything happened they would get us back home no problem. Whilst we recognise that the covid travel ban being implemented at such short notice was a complete nightmare, we received no support from Travel Republic despite having booked a package holiday with them. When we finally got through to travel republic's helpline, we were told to go to the airport the next morning and try to get on any flight out! That was all they could say. We duly went to the Airport the next morning only to be told to leave 6 hours later. We could not talk to easyjet as Travel Republic had booked the flights as part of the package. We finally got a rescue flight after much intervention from the family back home. Completely let down by travel republic. Shambolic.

I booked our summer holiday flights for August 2020 to Lanzarote in December 19, before the Pandemic hit! After a roller coaster of ‘yes we are going‘ to ‘No we are not’ then ‘Yes we are’ then ‘no we are not‘ Finally flights were cancelled due to a Spain being removed from the Safe Corridor list by the government. They tried to ram vouchers down my throat stating as a ‘flight only’ customer I wasn’t entitled to a cash refund. Once I spouted the law to them they soon agreed to my refund request. That was on 17th Aug. Now I am left in limbo, no one to answer my calls as they closed all lines and no one replies to my weekly emails to their non existent customer service. All I get is automated emails stating as a flight only customer they cannot refund me until BA refund them! BA won’t talk to me because I booked with travel republic yet Travel Republic say it’s down to BA! My contract was with Travel Republic, not BA!! They took my money and at no point did they say “Mrs Bryant Your money isn’t as good as our package customers because you are poor so if anything happens we will leave you hanging and keep your money” Absolutely scum of the earth, Just shows how poor they really are!! In times of crisis Some companies shine and others take you for all you have! That’s what they did to me! I’ve had no holiday for 5 years as we don’t have much, my husband was made redundant and his small redundancy paid for our flights. We couldn’t afford a package holiday so found a cheap villa. They took my money and have kept it Poor poor poor. Will NEVER use them again No words to explain how I feel Thieves!!!

having a nightmare with this company for tickets i booked to visit disney california and warner brothers studios in june, my flights were cancelled by BA due to the virus, so ive been trying since june to get any joy. its impossible via phone as goes to automated response . i opened up 2 disputes , the warner brothers they refused to give me refund unless i agreed to £50 charge, so i got chargeback refund via paypal after about 3 mths the disney tickets they promised me a full refund back to my credit card and all the conversion is there to prove this, but after 4 mths of battling to get it back, i got a credit note and dispute closed , i did not want a credit note nor agreed to one and no where was it mentioned i would get that. i dont even know if we will go to california next year now due to this virus. im now trying to get a credit card charge back but my card company are trying to get out of it too, so im not happy as this is £500 im owed. i wont be using this company again, if it survives. disgusting

Worst company ever !!! Had 3 flights booked with them, April, May and July. All cancelled by them... April booked with Qatar, May booked with Thai Airways and July booked with Singapore Airlines. No correspondence from Travel Republic throughout. Hours on the phone on hold to be told the same thing, no refunds yet !!!! Well low and behold I though id give it another go on hold !!!!!!! I got through to be told that Singapore Airlines had refunded !!!!! I asked when they had refunded and he said " oh i'm not going to lie they refunded in August" They had no intention of letting me know I had been refunded. It is now October !!! he stated that it would be refunded in 3-5 days I was not holding my breath as I thought there is no way they would repay me Well low and behold it has arrived !!!!! all £1900 of it !!!!!! now I just await the other £3500 !!!!!! My advise, call every week as they have no intention of calling you or for that fact refunding you automatically. I will never be using them again absolute abysmal customer service.

I am still waiting for the refund of £769 for cancelled BA flights on 14th and 18th May. I know BA have paid them! I have booked 16 holidays with TR in the last 5/6 years - never again!

Absolutely appalling. Our flights were cancelled in July and I still haven't had a refund. Impossible to speak to a human and automated responses are useless. I used to use TravelRepublic for all my flights to Tenerife where I have a home. Never again!!

Tried to cancel or amend accomodation, due to jet2,cancelling flights, got a change of date flight 16 days earlier, no response from tr, had to book another hotel for the 16 days, and go to original hotel booking on the date, I had booked for, TR contacted me on the same day of original booking they were trying to amend booking with travel provider yolago, but cut a long story short, they had no response from yolago and when they did, they offered me £52 for 9 lost nights, I refused and asked for breakdown which they refused, asked for contact details for yolago they refused, only to discover yolago and travel republic are all owned by emirates. I will never book with TR again and will go now to my credit card company.

TRAVEL REPUBLIC - GOODNESS ME.I wish I didn't have to write this review. Not only have we not received our refund and we were told we would get it months ago, but apart from the email saying the refund will be made, we have only ever received automated responses. I am sorry that the company is having financial problems and the industry is strained but it is unfair that the agency has not had to pay for the flights and has not had to pay for the hotel and yet they are keeping my money. A credit note for a holiday would be ok but no-one has contacted me to discuss options. I don't know who to turn to and can not afford to be ignored.

I have been trying to contact them for months. They one minute response then you can't get another reply. Still don't know if i can get a refund when i should have been going this Saturday. My son has also had no luck trying to get hold of them as he is due to go to Dubai for his 30th in November but needs to swap due to covid. Absolutely rubbish service which is sad as before covid they were ok. Travel republic if you see this review please fo your job & reply D Rathbone & D Rathbone

Cannot be contacted on the phone. Owed money for our July Holiday and yet to receive anything. Ryan Air have refunded the money to them over 2 weeks ago and still awaiting payment. To make matters worse they have closed my complaint as resolved!!

Their telephone message says the office is closed, no matter what time you call. My daughter is having trouble with them, so I've suggested she contact ABTA and see what they can do about the company. May also be worth contacting Emirates, who are the owners of the company. If you've paid for your booking via credit card, get the credit card company to sort things out. Can't believe how bad this company is and how they have the nerve to say they're ABTA and ATOL protected.

Dreadful non response from TR as requested customer support in July and still no response. Due to fly less than a week and no contact from TR even though TR promise to contact everyone flying within 7 days of flight. Totally irresponsible actions of dealing with customers.

I have a holiday booked for November but the return flight day is wrong I have sent emails to the office but received no reply have tried phoning and all I get is sorry the office is closed have you closed down for good or not
