We stayed at the York central micklegate Travelodge. We were put in a room right near to where everyone has breakfast so it was very noisy. We realised this just after booking in and we asked at reception to be moved to another room but was told by the receptionist that there were non available but to ask again the day after. But by then we would have unpacked so would of had to pack up to be told again that there was no other room available. Also the receptionist was eating a pizza at the front desk with 2 colleagues while the receptionist was checking to see if there was another room available for us to move too. and I also heard another member of staff ask which room they were sleeping in tonight. So the staff member was allocated a room but there wasn’t a different room for me and my husband to stay in. I felt like the receptionist couldn’t be bothered with my complaint and just dismissed me just so she could carry on eating the pizza. I felt like this was very unprofessional as well. It puts us off staying there again. We have stayed at quite a few travelodges over the years and have never known the breakfast room to be on another floor other than the reception floor. This should of been stated at the time of booking that the room is near the breakfast room so will be noisy in the mornings. If this was stated at the time of booking we wouldn’t of bothered booking 2 nights there for my birthday. It was very noisy and we got woken up early by the noise when we were trying to enjoy having a lie in. We were very disappointed by your hotel and customer service at the reception too. It doesn’t give us much hope if we stay with another travelodge again in the future.

Having stopped at the Vauxhall Travelodge before, I know how good it is, so it was just a matter of easy rebooking, This time I went for the lowest priced room, as I did not think the extra money upmarket room was any better, and spent the saving on the more useful early book in and late departure.Compared to other local budget hotels this was a brilliant low cost.

We've always found the hotels decent value for money. Although there are plenty of times we have decided not to stay, because of the prices, mainly in London.

Dirty, too hot, Childs bed far too small & every time we flushed the toilet it flooded the bathroom

The online booking was easy but I had a question about the hotel parking. Unfortunately I couldn't call as the number given required me to either top up my phone or be charged 13p per minute on a landline to talk to someone which I found outrageous. It should have been normal a local call. There was no direct number for the hotel anywhere on the website and we didn't get one until the confirmation email came after we'd booked. We could not communicate with the company by phone until after the online booking was complete.

It was OK in places booked super room which cost so much more I'd like to know what you are supposed to get for a superoom. Firstly no tv remote had to go to desk for a remote which means when it was cleaned it wasn't checked no tumblers in bathroom as is normal only noticed that now getting up 5:30am only 2 wine glasses? Booked in with my domestic pet which I paid extra for what did I get for that extra nothing? Would I ever book a superoom No can't see the point

Room dirty, no clean mugs, no draws for clothes, no water in the whole hotel, no clean glasses at breakfast

A busy place. A little tired in decor but ultimately clean and spacious. 10/10 for the staff. They were very helpful and friendly.

Barnstaple Travelodge - basic but has everything you need. Room a good size, bed comfortable, fluffy towels, everything clean. Could do with a bit of TLC/maintenance but the staff are absolutely brilliant

I have used Travelodge for years and give them 5* except!!!!!!! This time I set up an account and made a mistake in writing my email address. In my account, I can change anything except the email address. We can't get emails from them like confirmation. You say, phone the helpline at £0.13 per minute. Well I tried but the waiting time just kept mounting up. I've written to head office and asked them to change the mistake. It would have been easier if I could email Travelodge but this is not an option. I think customer services could be a little better than this, so 2* on this occasion.

It was ok but not perfect as I tried for 2 days to pay with my debit card for my room. In the end I was going somewhere else but my Son tried 1 last time and it worked. Think it could be a bit clearer.

every time we have stayed at a Travelodge ,it as been wonderful. the staff are very dedicated . rooms are excellent.
