Booked a return flight and they sent tickets for a completely different departure time and airport for the outbound flight than we chose. Spent hours on the phone with customer service who put the blame on us for selecting the wrong flight when we had checked the flights multiple times on the booking page before payment. Clearly a technical issue or bug on their system which they are refusing to admit. Obviously unable to provide evidence as the issue is within their system! Looking at reviews here over the past few days, it looks like other customers have experienced the same issue. This has caused unnecessary stress and wasted time.

Due to the demise of one of my family member, I need to cancel the trip. Checked with airline using the booking number, they said they can refund me the airport tax. But as I booked the tickets from Trip.com, I should liaise with Trip.com. But when, I liaised with Trip.com, keep getting replied everything is non refundable

Scam company with faulty systems Messed up my flight details and had the audacity to say it was my fault then when I asked for proof said they cannot give proof did not want to offer a full refund. Wanted to give me trip coins.

The booking dates were not the same as the input on SkyScanner. The process also transferred me to payment pages that I did not request. It’s either a scam or faulty website with bugs. No one is there to call or talk to - just automated.

These guys are scammers. They will take your money and if anything goes wrong they will do everything to keep it. I booked a flight through these guys with luggage as it was essential to my trip. Once my flight was booked and they had my money they told me they couldn't book my luggage. I tried everything they asked to book my luggage but they couldn't. I therefore asked for my money back but they refused again and again and again. Once they have your money they don't give a toss about you and will stew from you. I have used other airlines where they will immediately provide a refund with a problem like this. This company will take from you. I asked to even cancel the flight in the hope that they would at least provide the tax back but they didn't even do that.

Never booked connecting flights. DO NOT USE! My family friends (Husband and Wife) just recently used Trip. com to help book roundtrip flights to Vietnam from Sweden (came to about $2200 for 2 tickets) and it happened to be with Swiss Airlines and Vietnam Airlines. They got the receipts, confirmation and everything is correct... until arriving at the airport. The airport counter said that one of the 2 tickets only have one flight booked through Swiss Airlines and that a flight with Vietnam Airlines does not exist in the database (the other one did show). The husband never boarded the flight as Swiss Airlines would stop at Mumbai - which requires a visa for entry, as he does not have because the plan was never to enter Mumbai, he will transit through Mumbai to Vietnam - therefore lead to him being denied boarding at the swedish airport in the first place. Trip. com is refusing to refund, rebook or give any sort of compensation for their mistake. Even though both flights are paid for. Trip. com says that this is out of their control, but what could he have done differently to avoid this situation?? His receipts literally provides flight details with Vietnam Airlines, how could the flight not show up on the airport counters database is my quesiton. My only suspicion, is that they never actually booked it. Here's our experience dealing with them. July 2024.

Awful. Using this site to book flights resulted in an extra $1,000 in fees through the airline. Trip.com didn’t even book the connecting flights…which I had to figure out when I got to the airport. If I hadn’t asked the gate agent I would have missed the connecting flight and wasted a whole 2 days of vacation.

Dear Trip.com, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the customer service I received during a recent trip to Denali National Park. While I booked a hotel through Trip.com, I was stranded due to park closures and unreliable communication. Despite numerous calls explaining the situation (phone outages, generator-powered businesses), Trip.com did not offer solutions or address my concerns regarding unreachable hotels or alternate accommodations. After being forced to find alternate lodging with no heat and unreliable electricity, 10 hrs later Trip.com finally agreed to cancel one day of my original reservation, but by then, I was unable to change my train departure. This entire experience was a nightmare, and the lack of assistance from Trip.com was a nightmare. Good prices bad support!

It is better to book through the airline company itself as trip.com and other agents take a fee if there are last minute cancellations or changes of the flight. They are not ready to make exceptions for emergency illness or not fit to fly situations and have asked if they can make the exception of changing the ticket to a Flexi in case there is no control of when is it appropriate to fly out again. The change ticket has to have an end date and id you change after the departure date they charge exorbitant fees. In their opinion it's not them it's the airline policy and that has to be worked out from customer service of the airline. After a very harrowing experience I would suggest all to just book directly with the airline so you are not incurring two fees for the airline change and the agent fees change. If you book so make sure you are going to be well or if uncontrollable circumstances or sickness because of food poisoning occur then make sure to suck up loads of money to make the flight changes, trip.com doesn't really care or not come up with a policy for this.

Beware of this app! Despite its good looks, it's a scam waiting to trap you. Any small mistake will cost you money, and the so-called 24/7 customer service is nothing but a series of apologies for their unclear, non-refundable policies. They keep your money without any accountability. Strongly not recommended.

Bought round trip flight tickets but they only booked it one way, I caught it but very irresponsible and took them over a month to fix it, so many lies and promises with their customer representative. It was a very bad experience, unnecessary headache.

One of the worst companies! Please don't get scammed as I did. Their communication is terrible, and they sent me incorrect information that caused me to miss my flight. When I requested a refund, they blamed me despite the screenshots I provided showing their mistakes. Hopefully, this company will be banned. It's worth paying a bit more to avoid the headache.

My partner and I booked flights separately. The original flight got cancelled so immediately we selected another flight. It took about a week for me to get a response and my change was approved, my partners was not. I called and they weren’t able to answer any questions about why one was approved and one wasn’t. It’s not been 2 weeks and we are still waiting. This place has horrible service and just keep saying “be patient”.

Fraud and scam. Myself and my friend both booked flight at different times. One week before we are due to fly, flight gets changed to the day before, not willing to put you on another flight at similar time as they will charge you a lot more , not willing to compensate, they say you have to contact the airline direct which defeats the object of booking through an agency who are meant to do that for you. They lure you in with cheaper prices knowing they will screw you over

Worst experience ever! They charged me for name correction process despite of the Airline's decision of not allowing name correction. And now they are not giving me a refund of the same. I've been chasing them since a week about my booking, but they're constantly keeping me on hold without any reason. Do not trust them and book tickets using Trip.com
