“I posted a very honest but negative comment about a website (Bark) on Trustpilot. the reason was I was scammed using a trade from that specific website and I felt I should warn other people. However, trust pilot asked me to remove the comment and when I called them to explain why it is very important to leave the comment as it is I only got a voice mail. I left a message and never heard back. later the comment was deleted. I later noticed there is a pattern with most of the reviews on Trustpilot, it seems they delete the negative comments. so they are working for the companies not the customers.”

“For a while I was suspecting Trustpilot was not a trusted place until I left my first online review on a internet site (Xendpay) and overall reviews of that site on the internet is negative as it should be but seeing that it has received almost 10 out of 10 on trust pilot my suspicions of Trustpilot working with the companies to tweak the reviews has been confirmed since they seem to be doing with other companies who are most likely paying to control the review streams. I guess, when I company gets big it becomes greedy. Shame!”

“Don't ever use their service! Terrible service that never delivered on the goods. We were with them for a few years and never cultivated many reviews. Switched services and within a year both of our websites are ranking/approved by google with seller stars, etc. Not to mention but now nearly 1.5yr after cancelling service they continue to hound us w/emails and calls. We have repeatedly informed them to STOP calling/emailing, we are not switching back. They are either too dumb to follow those simple instructions or to stubborn. Either way, stay away!”

“Bought a pristine refurbished phone from Quich fix over £200 in Dec kept sticking and unusable to use,can’t get them on the phone either ever. Texted them all they said was return for a repair after trying a few things like reset etc Not good enough as it never worked and I complained via text straight away”

“Purchased a watch from company called hyperstech it packed in after one and a half days informed them they surggested change battery as if I didn’t think of that myself well still doesn’t work they don’t recognise warranty’s or consumer rights act 2015 which means they replace or refund or repair they expect customer to pay to return watch at customers exspence they also want customers to send video of faulty watch so there so called exsperts can what’s wrong but my problem is normal company’s would take watch apart to find fault and don’t apologise for anything they say watches battery lasts for 33 months there British partner surplies web site”

“When looking to give my bad review on this company it came up warning some of the reviews regarding trustpilot have been made by trustpilot employees 😁😁. Fake company won't let people leave bad reviews keep taking mine down. They are in cahoots with these company's”

“Their business model is extortion: 1. they list your website which becomes a complaint box and fair game for competitors and unverified reviews. 2. the unverified reviews harm you, because 99% of customers who are satisfied will not review on TP unsollicited. The 1% with a bad experience will complain, hence giving you a 1 star rating. 3. They contact you, asking you two shell out huge amounts just to be able to send them verified reviewers 4. suddenly you move from 1 star to 5 star. You're the same company with the same service, the only difference is now you're paying them a lot of money. My question is: how is this platform actually benefiting the consumer if the "trust" score only reflects how much money TP is getting?”

“The Worst! Our company has been a paying customer of Trustpilot for 4 years. We've had minor issues from time to time they refused to resolve (ie: a customer review "The best website! I recommend to everyone!" with a 1-star rating; if the review clearly doesn't match the star, they don't care). What prompted this bad review, however, is that they've arbitrarily decided the price we are paying for their service is too low. Effective on our renewal date they will be increasing our fee by 120%! This is extortion. We are not utilizing any more of the service. Our monthly review count has not increased. They have no justification for the increase except they claim we are under paying for their services (a fee we've been paying for 4 years!). They also own your reviews. You cannot take them with you or use them with Google. They trap you into never leaving. Don't get trapped by Trustpilot. DO NOT USE TRUSTPILOT. Find anyone else.”

“My husband and I were looking for two mirrors at the Leekes Llantrisant store we saw exactly what we were looking for on display in the sale when we approached an assistant named Julie she offered to check the computer for further stock fortunately there was another one so she went to look in the store room she came back with it she and another assistant Emily wrapped the mirrors in bubble wrap and carried them to the till and even helped us carry them to the car unbeknown to us neither assistant worked on that department and even worked 25 minutes over their shift to help us with our purchases they were very happy and friendly and a credit to this store thank you”

“I gave Newegg.com a negative review for manipulating the product reviews on their own website. I discovered that Newegg was deleting my negative product reviews without notice or explanation. Then Newegg turned around and protested my review on Trustpilot because it didn't mention a "customer service experience" and Trustpilot dutifully took down my review. So I guess Newegg games their reviews all across the internet.”

“I looked up a company called Smart Start, Inc. after an absolutely horrible year using their device to find positive reviews. I found that hard to believe, so I tried to post a negative review, and it would not post. Then I tried to post a negative review on Trustpilot, which also failed. That's why they are so well rated.”

“Utilita. I have tried for 2 months to get through to utilita to discuss my account and billing etc. Everytime it was a 2 hour wait and then get through to someone who did not have a clue what to do or have any reasonable answer. Today I got through to Chloe in the complaints department and by that time I was furious. This lady deserves a promotion. She handled my enquiry. Gave me all my answers that i had been wanting for 2 months in 30 seconds and was just a nice genuine person. She helped me so much and I had to wrote this to show my appreciation. Great job Chloe. Wish more advisors were like this lady.”

“Worst service, I have given genuine review for Moverjet Logistics, they removed that review stating that I wasn't able to provide my authenticity, but when I asked them for process they have not got back to me, now they got back after 3 months, if they are this slow in finding authenticity whats the big point of running a company, this is the worst company in the world”

“B.S. review site. If you leave a negative review of a business a business that business needs to just complain and say your review is fake and your review will be removed. I agree businesses have rights too, which is why both comments should stay so readers can make an informed decision about mentioned businesses. Use Yelp or Google, much more reputable review services!”
