“This company is such a fraudulent scam. When I see a businesses that list their Trustpilot rating, I know the company themselves are deceptive. I posted a negative review for a business that was actively censoring and cancelling user subscriptions for criticising a new change they made. Of course Trustpilot deleted my review and said it was a fake review. I sent proof of purchase and confirmed I was a legitimate buyer and they said they still couldn't approve the review. Undoubtedly, the company that I gave the review to was paying Trustpilot to remove the review. Trustpilot can't be trusted and that's the reality of it.”

“Trustpilot is the most non trustworthy 3rd party review site I have used. Never again. They will keep your reviews hidden within a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo. They have a team of lawyers inhouse to handle this. A sketchy way of trying to hold you hostage to them. I can not recommend trustpilot to anyone.”

“Hi Can you explain why the list of reviews is set at default in terms of 'most relevant' reviews rather than 'most recent'? From what I can see, 1* reviews are being quickly buried under 5* reviews due to this automatic default but only with companies that pay for your service. Who decides what is 'most relevant'? Please can you explain who decides what is most relevant? Surely, it should be 'most recent' reviews? I believe it used to be.”

“Many of my honest negative reviews of companies on Trustpilot have been removed. They lasted only a few days then "Dissapear", do they benefit financially from these companies? I have lost all faith in this site now and will use another review site.”

“Trustpilot is infested with fake positive reviews which bad companies then use to promote themselves. If you write a bad review the company tells trustpilot to remove it which they do by asking for bogus 'evidence'. I think if one gives them this 'evidence' they willnpass your details on to the company to threaten you. Should be closed down.”

“I Have read through the reviews for Trustpilot and have to say I agree with 99% of them. Trustpilot have gone from being a trusted company to completely over the top, suspending accounts and accusing people of fake reviews. I personally would never put a fake review yet I was accused of it. I'm done with Trustpilot and I would not believe anything on their website now. You cannot rely on them. I did reply to their accusations when they emailed me, however I have not had a response, no surprise. Who's fake now!”

“Unfortunately, Trust pilot turns to be a disaster and I no longer relay on the honesty of the reviews their are publishing. Trust pilot removed all my reviews just because they were negative based on my experience. And therefore, allowed companies get away with the corruption, discrimination and so on. if company provided bad services this is why they have been negatively rated. Trust Pilot used to be one of the most biggest honest and respectful by wide public reviewers in the past, but no longer in the present.”

“We are a new business and go through a lot of effort to get reviews as they are important for our ability to win new business, only for the trustpilot algorithm to delete them. Our clients then enter a never-ending cycle of sending evidence, waiting months to hear back, only to be asked for more evidence. I have contacted Trustpilot twice on this issue and have never heard anything back. There doesn't appear to be any way to get in touch with them without paying. So... that's that then. If the algorithm picks up a review, it gets deleted and there's no way to get it back without paying a monthly fee. What a con. So far around 40% of our reviews have been deleted because of this.”

“I think they should change their name to Review Pilot, as the trust bit seems dubious. I posted a negative review of a company based on my experience of a phone call with them. The company responded immediately saying they had never spoken to me, which I expected as I have seen this in other reviews. Bear in mind that you cannot respond to replies to your review, so the person being reviewed always has the final word. However, you can edit/update your review, which I did. TP immediately contacted me to say that unless I provided documentary evidence such as an invoice, the review would be taken down. Unfortunately I have no such evidence as I decided not to do any business with this company following on from this phone call. I have since read other reviews from people having similar experiences. A lot make claims that TP are paid by such companies to alert them when a negative review is posted, take it down if requested. I cannot comment on that, but it has made me think about how TP make their money? Suspect this review will not get posted.”

“Trustpilot will suspend your account if a company flags a review, not even giving a chance to prove that the review was true and honest. They are completely in the hands of retailers. I wrote honest reviews, life is too short to make things up and I have better things to do.”

“Trust Pilot did the same to me! Removed a negative review of Lyca Mobile. I was professional and honest. Anyway, I will not be using Trust Pilot anymore as I know their reviews are unreliable and all filtered.”

“SANTANDER damning review for RACISM was removed after about 300views, claiming it is against the TRUSTPILOT policies. WHAT A JOKE! BEING BOUGHT OFF BY THE VERY COMPANIES BIG ENOUGH TO SCREEN FOR THEIR NEGATIVE REVIEWS is the lowest low for a "trust"worthy website!!! You can't trust anyone who removes DAMNING REVIEWS! trustPILOT just CRASHLANDED itself!!! What a corrupt, lying SHAMBLES!!!”

“removed my honest review of my experience with ebay customer service. I've done a lot of searching online and can see this is what they do, for bigger companies who don't want other people to see honest accounts of what they experience, which is complete fraud.”

I replied, "I was born an English citizen and have not been found guilty of any misconduct by Trustpilot, but Trustpilot has punished me without presenting any evidence against me. Is this how you would like to be dealt with under English law?"”

“Just echoing what many here are saying, Truspilot is happy for you to leave + reviews but if you leave a - then their 'integrity' team will most likely remove it or you are asked to verify the review and/or chased by the company you reviewed to provide various information, the lack of which will see the review removed. Trustpilot is in the pockets of the larger companies . They should be shutdown and or litigated against”
