Trustpilot would not accept my genuine bad review of a gas company I called out in emergency because they said they could not accept thr revies without evidence. I provided the reference number of the job I booked in and date and time of call out. They still would not accept it. The gas company did not turn up and my review was bad. Therefore it’s likely other bad reviews are not included on the trustpilot rating system. They are excluding bad reviews and therefore making companies seem better than they are. I would not trust their rating system.

I would give less stars if I could. As a business Trustpilot try to force you to pay for one of their options. If you do not then they remove positive reviews without cause.

Noticed a number of bad reviews removed from the site, even whole companies gone. How can you Trust a review site when it sensors what you see? Obviously, money talks and companies have paid to be taken off or threatened them with legal action if not removed.

Did business with Web Direct Brands which runs various websites including Gatecrafters.com of Odessa FL. Product was a dud and service was worse. I posted a review through Trustpilot (the company that manages the reviews on the gatecrafters.com website) and they made me revise it because they said my title "Chinese Junk and not the Floating Kind" was offensive. Boo hoo, poor Chinese. Then they took it down and said I had to provide an invoice in PDF format. I dug up my invoice and scanned it and sent it to them. They rejected it because it was a .jpg and not a .pdf . Also they said it was not from the company because it did not say "Gatecrafters.com" on the invoice. The company invoices are in the name of Web Direct Brands which is the legal entity. So my conclusion is that Trustpilot is a hoax.

Don’t believe trustpilot, they have all negative reviews removed and adapt reviews for companies who pay for there service,in short it’s a scam and totally misleading for customers😡😡. In short ‘DO NOT TRUST TRUSTPILOT’. Bear in mind the company I left a negative review about, was a company I choose based on its positive reviews on trustpilot. which i now know the reviews were a sham just like trustpilot itself. They only support positive and fake reviews. A very biased and untrue company whose reviews should never be trusted.

Dont believe in Trust Pilot at all!!!!! The put on good reviews, remove others and adapt others to suit that of the companies that pay for their services. Come on ebay where have all my complaints gone, the good ones are still there, and then you have the nerve to ask me to give you a positive review. You know where to stick that one. Pity you dont ask for contact details on the ones that you put on for fake reviews. Dont worry this has gone to the Office of Fair Trading

Trustpilot is a joke and a total scam for companies to pay money to make them look good when in reality, the reviews are vetted and most times fake (even when they say "verified order" etc. One company in particular is Howard's Custom Transfers - This company is leaving itself raving reviews time and time again and strange how an out pouring of positive reviews come rolling in full force after a not so good one is left. DO NOT Trust "Trustpilot" anymore. It's a farce!

It's incredibly obvious that Trustpilot works with companies to remove bad reviews. They'll flag and block any negative 1-star reviews, before flooding their page with fake 5-star reviews. Eventually, if they ever unblock your genuine 1-star review, it'll be buried underneath all the new fake reviews. Con-artists.

Seemingly a very biased company who side with companies and remove negative review for almost any reason. I have had about three or four reviews removed after the defensive company asked trustpilot to remove them. It is amazing that without any evidence on the companies part, the reviewer is guilty until proven innocent and even then seemingly still never has a review reinstated. I decided to boycott the site completely both in reading and commenting. If you also take a look, you will see that some companies have two listings with trust pilot and one can be blinding reviews while the other terrible. How is it possible to have two listings for the same company and how is it possible when there are two that they can be so different from each other? My opinion is that this company is a sham in some respect and is clearly earning coin by supporting the company itself and positive reviews. I wouldn't trust a word that anyone posts there again and in fact the last two companies I used whom both messed me around were after reading great reviews via trustpilot when I think about it :(

It would seem there are a lot of false reviews for & on Trustpilot. I would suggest checking out very, very carefully before committing. I wish I had, for example, a ;local company seemed the business, did a bad job and when I tried to visit their 'premises' to personally complain, it turned out to be no more than a mailbox shop.

I was buying and selling something via Rebelle, a platform for designer 2nd hand clothes, there was a massive issue with not receiving notifications if items have sold, I could not reach them on the phone as they were not available, so I left a message on Trustpilot with a review that had only 2 stars and said they need to sort the IT issues, they replied to me on Trustpilot that they are aware, then emailed and called me to explain the problem with their IT and how they solved it. Today Trustpilot claims they could not verify that my review was authentic... Seriously, even with a company member replying and saying they are aware of the problem?

Trust pilot recommends a fraudulent group called "local agent finder". Here's my review of Local Agent Finder: I needed a Brisbane based Real Estate Agent and so I googled exactly that. The list of web sites started with "Local Agent Finder", which offers to connect property vendors with local real estate agents "100% free" and with "no obligation". This claim might be considered true from a technical perspective. In practice the result of using the site is that the vendor gets a list of recommended agents and Local Agent Finder receives a message telling them that the activity has connected the vendor to those agents. Local Agent Finder then requires that any recommended Real Estate Agent used by the vendor pay Local Agent Finder 0.375% of the sale price. The agent then passes all of that cost on to the vendor, and so by using the site the vendor has unknowingly added 0.375% of the sale price to the overall cost of selling the property. If the sale price is $1m, that's a cost of $3750. The vendor is unable to use the agent without paying the fee, and must therefore either rule the recommended agents out of consideration of pay the fee. It is therefore wrong, unethical, and probably illegal for the company to claim that their services are free and without obligation. The definition of fraud in law is "intentional deception to secure unfair or unlawful gain". I believe that the behavior described above meets the definition of fraud. Even if only a small percentage of property sales are affected by this scam, then this company is making huge profits for doing, and through deceptive means. I intend to raise these matter with as fraud through the relevant regulatory agencies. I'm confident that once a legal review is conducted the practice will deemed illegal. Local Agent Finder got a 9.1 rating and kind words from Trust Agent.

I believe TrustPilot are also complicit in scams by aiding and abetting fraudulent companies that use TrustPilot in order to harbour fake reviews and are able to manipulate TrustPilot into removing negative reviews which in turn is duping people into believing certain companies and their services are legit. Review on TrustPilot are not to be trusted. Do not Trust TrustPilot and it's reviews. Fake reviews go unchecked but real reviews that are negative get removed despite you providing evidence that you have dealt with the said company in question. Filter all reviews and read the real negative reviews as it's much harder to give a negative review on TrustPilot and these are therefore probably legitimate and are a true reflection. Or simply do not use TrustPilot

I chose a company solely based on its excellent rating on Trust pilot to perform a specific service for me. I lost 250 euros because that was simply a scam company, full of “great” fake reviews on “Trust pilot”. The EU authorities really need to take a closer view there and ban them from service. Thank you ant-trust pilot! Do not “trust” at all costs!

Trust pilot took down a negative review I wrote about the company after the business asked them to remove the review. When I asked them about it, they demanded "proof of transaction" with the company. I sent them an email with proof of transaction and they said it wasn't "enough". How can you trust a website that is paid by businesses to shore up only positive reviews?

Absolutely pointless to ever bother writing an accurate negative review - with the intention of sparing other consumers from the same fate. Trustpilot will simply bow down to the named business and either demand you remove elements of the review that the company doesn’t like and/or block your email account forever more - preventing you from commenting ever again. Trustpilot allows businesses to increase their score by using hundreds of fake reviews by people with a vested interest. Vile. Corrupt and in cahoots with the reviewed organisations. Don’t waste your time viewing or reviewing Trustpilot. The name couldn’t be more ironic if it tried. Avoid! Don’t allow your intelligence to be insulted.

What a shower, removed a genuine review I added the purchase order number then they continued to remove all my reviews and stopped me from logging in. No replies to my emails and their on line 'chat' is useless, they keep telling me the matter is being handled by their compliance team and they cannot comment.
