The associates do not abide by their own return policy as stated in their website. I can’t shop in a place like this. FYI you can get 99 percent of this stuff cheaper in Walmart and target.

I went to the Happy Valley location yesterday. The store was clean and organized. After mulling around trying to figure out a brand and shade for my complexion, Shari approached me. Shari was kind and listened to all of my concerns. Her recommendations were amazing and she saved me time tryng to select the right products. Top-notch employee! Also, I met Bryn who was patient, geat attitude, and assisted me with my points. Happy customer due to these two employees!!!!

I had a haircut with Claritza almost two weeks ago and my hair was totally butchered. This after showing 3 different pictures and neither one was what I received. Sadly I am the one suffering with this horrendous chop job. The manager was kind enough to compensate me, but that doesn't help me with my current situation. I now have to have this mess taken care of with another hairstylist. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Buying products is one thing. Salon is another story. Bad beyond words.

I think I been going to ultra for over a year or 2 years. That is when I met katelyn stark and elaina williams. I really liked them both because they did great job doing my hair. Plus they both are a cool friend. I enjoy going there and they take pictures of me and my cool hair do.

I bought Urban decay at Ulta and absolutely love it. I bought a gloss which is not sticky. But the the on I love best is OG Backtalk. It stays in place pretty well. I wear a mask at work and it stays on so I’m impressed!

I got a great cut at the Tyrone location in St. Petersburg, Fl. Emi did a great job listening to exactly what I wanted giving me amazing shape and less bulk. My hair is difficult to cut because it is curly with different curl patterns throughout and I have a lot of hair. Prior to Emi I had a stylist at Ulta who insisted on the "curly hair cut", which is more money than a regular cut and left my hair frizzy with uneven pieces all over. I almost didn't go again, but I know now to ask for Emi. She has awesome skills and knows a lot about cutting curly hair.

I had an amazing experience shopping for makeup, thanks to Ian at Cranberry Mall. She took the time to understand my skin tone and preferences, recommending products that not only suited me perfectly but also make me feel great. Whether it was selecting the right foundation, finding the best shade of lipstick or giving me tips on application, I felt well take care of. It was a great experience and I will definitely be back to see Ian for all my makeup needs.

Today I asked a salesperson for help, and described what I was looking for. I hoped with his cosmetic expertise that he would be able to point me in the right direction or at least help me narrow my choices. He showed me 1 one pink lipstick, and he tried to put the product in my hand. I said politely that this as a nice color but not for me. Then he went on to say that what I was describing and what I actually wanted were two different things. Or maybe should we say YOUR INTERPRETATION is different than mine. Let me add that he dropped the lipstick 2 times as well, and had just cut himself. He told me I should play, play in the store, and that I could play for hours, but that he was NOT. This was in front of customers and 2 other make up artists. Needless to say I found help elsewhere with a wonderful woman and left a the store with 4 high end products. I have been using this location for a long time, however will never ask this man for help again. He was an ASSHOLE.

Ok.. I'm really struggling writing this.. I get and understand all the transgender stuff.. and usually I don't really care.. but today shopping at Northside Ultra.. seriously don't they even have a dress code? Even though everyone was polite and tried to be helpful...I seriously felt so uncomfortable being there.. some of the workers..and there were several.. were "dressed up" pink bows.. pink leggings.. pink skirt.. and/or lots of fashioned jewelry.. with piercings.. then they have a "groomed" beard.. how confusing to me.. and perhaps them being undecided..Idk.. How people live their life outside of their job is absolutely their business.. but can't the company at least have a dress code? like make a decision of what gender they want to be while working at the establishment? The nose rings and other piercings..fine.. the make-up on some when done in good taste.. fine.. even the different colors of hair.. I don't care..on some it looks really cool and fun..but the "groomed" beared is a bit much.. and definitely leaves the question of what pronoun to call them when requesting help.. Even though for sure this review will not matter.. I feel that I should say something. I have shopped at Ulta for years and never experienced this. I feel I should be able to feel comfortable while shopping not only there but anywhere.

Double charged. Have provided all documentation that was requested. Three months later and they will not refund me. Customer service is no help. North Olmsted OH store. Manager was extremely rude and condescending.

Placed an order in person at the local store. It took longer than expected due to weather when it was finally delivered it was just tossed into the driveway/side somewhere I went up and shoveled even though you can easily see the grass. Still no package to be found. Go to the local store where they will not help me and give me a phone number I call and they will reorder but not expedite it so I have it for my granddaughters birthday that’s in 5 days. Poor ass service. And now it won’t let me post pictures on this review

I had a truly terrible experience at Ulta located in I Tamiami Crossing 13100 Tamiami Trail East Suite 101 Naples FL 34114 US .I was using three gift cards to pay for my purchase, and the cashier initially assured me that everything would be fine. However, after ringing everything up, she told me the system wouldn't allow her to process it and asked if I had cash. She then called her supervisor, who took about five minutes to arrive. Instead of addressing the issue calmly, the supervisor gave me a speech about how using three gift cards wasn’t allowed, which could have been communicated to me from the start. I was frustrated, especially since neither of them offered an apology for the inconvenience or wasted time. To make matters worse, after fixing the issue, the supervisor again asked me if I had cash to pay the remaining balance. It felt incredibly disrespectful and like I was being treated as a problem rather than a valued customer. I even overheard them mentioning that this had happened before with another customer, which made me question whether this is a common issue at this location. Overall, I left feeling unappreciated, disappointed, and frustrated. I won't be returning to this store again.

I hate when companies bait and switch. I had a coupon and read every line and word twice for the items that I wanted. No mention of them at all. I could have ordered them from Amazon and gotten it quicker but wanted to use the coupon. It was over $100 of Clinique items and the cashier said I couldn’t use the coupon because the items were prestige. Have no idea what that has to do with Clinique. They have permanently lost a customer. I know Ulta doesn’t care but wanted other customers to know that your coupons probably won’t be honored and you order from Amazon.

I placed an order and the website let me us a PO BOX. This is the only way to get mail where I live. There is no way I could know Ulta would ship with UPS. Ulta can't change the shipper and can't have UPS transfer the package to USPS to finish the shipping either. The customer service representative said they can't ship the package due to an ingredient... but they are the ones selling the item and making it available to be shipped. The only thing they can do is refund me the money. I have no confidence that will work correctly. Ulta should have their website be able to tell you if they can accept po boxes or not as a shipping address. Other websites can do this. I am not buying from Ulta again and that includes in store.

Loving how I made an appointment 6 days ago with my usual stylist only to have the appointment and time changed to a different stylist. I arrive at the appointment 10 minutes early and the stylist isn’t ready for me; working on 2 other people . Now I’m sitting here waiting. When she finally gets to me, the shampoo is rushed; not what I’m used to. WHY make an appointment if it is not going to be honored. Unprofessional, uncool , and unsatisfied. 😓

I received a gift card this holiday season and when I removed the packaging, a few numbers in the PIN code were scratched off. I figured the card would still be usable and went to the store to purchase a few items but was told the card was unusable without the full PIN — it could not even be scanned or swiped. The cashier told me I could call the customer service line and be issued an e-gift card instead. When I called, however, the representative informed me I couldn't get an e-gift card or refund without a proof of purchase for the gift card. I explained that it was a gift, like most GIFT cards are, and she basically told me someone would email me. I received emails that made me go through the exact same chain of events (sending the card info, informing me I need a proof of purchase, explaining that I don't have a proof of purchase, etc) before the customer service representative finally told me there was nothing to be done. I'm extremely disappointed and upset about this policy and find it so silly that three digits missing for a PIN number means I can't use the card at all. I've used plenty of other gift cards at stores without needing the full PIN. Huge rip-off and I won't be shopping at Ulta again.

This review is for the salons located in Miami, FL. I am not sure how the salon hair services are supposed to work, are they company wide or store dependant? Meaning, does the company dictate which services the salon will offer (haircut, highlights etc) therefore each stylist hired MUST offer said services as lined up by the company? Or do the stylists get to pick and choose which services they feel like offering? Based on my experience in all of the Miami, FL locations, I'm leaning towards the second option. The general issue seems to lie with Kids Haircuts. Althought it is advertised in most/all the stores in the area, it is non-existent. For most stores, the kids haircut is advertised and at least one stylist is listed for said service. However, when trying to book the date/time, there is never availability FOR AS FAR ALONG AS THE BOOKING CALENDAR ALLOWS. And no, this isn't a "you must have been unlucky and they were probably fully booked that time " situation. Within the course of one whole year, I attempted to book several times, at different times/months of the year, each time attempting different locations. The result was the same across : a sylist might be listed under the service, but no dates available AT ALL. Once, out of all the failed attempts, I was able to book an appointment with a stylist at the Kendall location. Within an hour of my booking, I received a text message stating the appointment had been canceled and a a phone call AFTER claiming there had been a double booking and the time was not actually available, and I was advised to book online for a different day. I went ahead and did just that (within an hour of previous booking), except now there were no stylists at all available for the Kids Haircut service at that same location for the foreseeable future. So an hour before the service was offered. Now it wasn't... Fast forward to now. I recently reconnected with an old high school friend. While catching up, I learned she had gone to beauty school and became a hairstylist. She mentioned she had worked at Ulta (three different locations throughout the city) before opening her own business. I mentioned the issue I had encountered and her inmediate response was "Oh yeah, they don't like doing kids haircuts because they don't make money of it". She proceeded to explain how the company prices kids haircuts at $25 (the industry standard in the area) and how none stylists like to work for that little money. So what they "all would do" she said, was remove themselves from the service (Kids Haircut), and if by any chance someone got to book before they remove their names, they would cancel the appointment using any excuse, then remove their names and/or availability. She wasnt sure if this was "technically allowed" but again " we all did it this way in every store I worked ".... Needless to say I stopped my attempts to book services with them, especially knowing how unmotivated they are, which would surely affect the quality of the service. But I still wonder if this is "technically allowed" (stylist can freely pick and choose which services to offer) or if the company dictates which services MUST be offered nationwide and these stylists down in Miami are breaching company's rules.

DO NOT ever buy a gift for someone at Ulta. I was given a gift WITH a gift receipt evidencing the person paid cash. I went to return the item and was instructed to enter my phone number. I was further advised that was required. Not only did i have to enter my number, points were deducted from my account. I am at a loss to understand when I handed them a receipt stating the person paid cash or all that would’ve been required was here’s your money back. You do not need any information from me when I call customer service to inquire all I was told was a store policy, but not given a reason as to why
