My score would have been higher if I didn't have so much of an issue trying to upload my portfolio as there was a maximum limit you can upload at a time. This will need to be reviewed.”

“I have previously studied with mainstream Tafe’s and I did not enjoy my studies. I work full time and I’m a single mother. Self paced learning has meant that I can continue my studies at a pace that works for me, such as during holidays as there is no shut down period. I’m actually ahead of studies and I feel liberated. I will definitely be completing this certificate and then finishing my diploma. I wish I found Swinburne earlier.”
“The only issue i had with the online learning platform was sometimes the page wouldn't load, or it would take a long time to load. Looks like there has been some new imporvements with it. I love the new progress bar where it shows you your actual progress and where you have to meet to finish the course in time. some of the module links didn't work but I was able to find the information online. Overall i found it really good, i did like how you focus on one module at a time and that you couldn't move forward unless you passed the previous assessments. Kerrie was absolutely amazing! I don't know how she found the time to answer any of my concerns or questions but she was always quick to answer and made it feel like it was a one on one course.
Oh there was one module that had music that played in the background when you read it I wasn't expecting it,it scared the living day light out of me it was more funny than anything. Overall it was a really good experience.”
“i have been studying with swinburne open for almost over 18 months, and have struggled with feeling isolated. there is no class presence or any sense of togetherness, which can sometimes be nice, but when you do a course for 18 months and have no peers to talk to it can feel very very lonely. the course content has been fantastic and i enjoy the learning style, but the connection with students and trainers is not very noticeable especially since you constantly switch your trainer and never get the chance to form much of a connection”
“The application process went very well, with the help of some very lovely people at Swinburne University. I've found that the online learning platform has given me great oppurtunities to work with like minded people and expand my knowledge. The live Q+A's give me the chance to ask my questioons face to face with people who can answer them. I've been doing Certificate II in Animal Care and it has been an amazing experience so far, I've learnt about topics that intrigued me and the trainers and assessors are always willing to help explain the topics in depth and give feedback. The online learning platform is good in general, however, it needs some improvement regarding the teachers and the explanation.
In module 1, Nour was a very excellent teacher, Modules 2,3 and 4 were acceptable so I could get explanations through videos already recorded where I could find answers and explanations, moreover, the teachers of these modules were very helpful and always available for support.
In module 5, I am not satisfied at all, as the teacher's response is very brief and understandable.
I meet a lot of obstacles and unclear information or questions in the assessments.
The preview modules were much better than module 5, as they had more clarifications and explanations in many ways.
I would like to inform you that I am not 100% satisfied studying module 5 and look forward to any improvement you could provide to me.”
