“We were coming from a competitive brand, and I had a few questions, I called and spoke to somebody at their office got all of my questions answered and ordered the rack immediately. It arrived to my house within a few days, even though we’re almost 2000 miles away, the installation and assembly was much easier than I expected, the rack looks great and fits all of our bikes perfectly. So happy to make the move to this rack.”

“Love this rack! It’s very well built as well. I actually had an incident where the trailer hitch broke and dropped it along with my bikes onto the interstate in Denver while traveling…. The rack was actually drug for few minutes and even after the detachment the rack held up intact, lol. I don’t know that any other rack I’ve had before would still be usable after hitting the road at 80 mph….. I did replace the two sections that actually drug on the road but not for structural reasons, I just didn’t want it looking all scraped up…. Support staff is outstanding! This thing is super tough, I don’t know that I’ll ever have to buy another one but I definitely will if I need one. Even though it’s a little heavy I wouldn’t change a thing ( except it is a little too close to the truck without buying the extension…. 3-4 inches longer and my trail boss tailgate would probably go down without an extension )”

“This is the perfect rack for our family of 6! We added the 20” baskets for the smaller bikes and now we can take our bikes everywhere we road trip! It is a little heavy to install by yourself but not horrible. I love the assisted rise and lower feature too!”

“I was hesitant to buy this rack, but I’m glad I did. The videos online looked great, but I had been fooled before with the ease of loading and unloading. I was pleased to find out that the videos and reviews were accurate. Loading and unloading is much more efficient now. I should also mention, it’s usually the coolest rack on the lot. People ask me about it all the time. They have rack envy. They are blown away by the size, functionality and the look of my rack. This rack is so awesome that my wife forgave me for purchasing it without her consent. She even showed me her rack as a reward.”

“100% sold. Have used it around town and the big test was a trip to Bentonville AR (if you are living under a rock, look this place up). No issues. No sway. The front wheel trays are thick metal (others have a thin gauge) and the color red is cool. Didn’t notice a hit to the mpg, but can be a sail since I don’t have a topper for my pickup. My friend has another popular brand and he was jealous with the hydraulic drop system. ;) The bikes were secure for the ride. I upgraded to the locking mechanism. Makes locking super easy. My only issue is that water/moisture must have gotten into the locking cable rods as there was a significant amount of rust from the housing, but I wiped it off and while I’m sure that wasn’t a solve, it worked for now. Might be something velocirax could look into. We have the 412, would prefer getting a 5 so we can haul an extra friends bike, but for the 4 of us it’s perfect. Fits a Tundra and a Honda Pilot well. Heavy, but we leave it on mostly. Taking off isn’t easy, but when you do, the garage hanging system is dope. I didn’t hang it the way it’s recommended, I leave it as it comes off the bike and works fine. Probably better to follow the instructions though. Love it an will rep the brand constantly. Couple of young guys yelled at my family when leaving the Railyard “sick rack”. So there’s definitely a cool factor for a 38yr old dad ;)”

A thin layer of rust is normal, so we suggest extending cable ends and wiping them down with a paper towel or rag. After this, it should be rust-free. Thank you for repping VelociRAX! “When I was surfing around on the internet for sturdy, quality bike racks I did the usual examining of other bike racks, looking at reviews, specs etc… but nothing caught my attention more than the velocirax. Not only does it look incredible but it is very sturdy (we loaded 5 e-bikes with it; batteries included). It hauls heavy loads without a problem. The assembly is very simple and learning how to operate it is easy. You might have to read the instructions a few times on how to raise lower and lock the bike rack, but then it’s in your memory. A great feature they have integrated in the hitch arm is a bolt, when tightened it creates pressure on the inside of your car hitch and eliminates like 97% of movement, i.e. your bikes aren’t flopping all over the place; even on bumpy roads. Now for my whining. The only thing that is bit of a hassle is trying to carry and load it on your vehicle by yourself, as it is heavy. The reason for that is there is not really anywhere a good place to grasp it and carry it by yourself. With two people it’s a piece of cake. Other than that minor complaint it’s an awesome bike rack and I would totally buy again. P.S. I have an 5x velocirax”

“I bought this bike rack to use on the back of our motorhome and it works perfect! The hydraulic lowering system is a game changer due to the fact that the motorhome hitch sits higher off of the ground than a normal car or truck. I highly recommend this bike rack for anyone with a camper or large truck that rides high off of the ground.”

“We bought the velocirax 7 bike rack. Bikes are easy to put on the rack (I am 5ft9) but for a short person it will be difficult, it’s pretty high. You can incline the rack but when 7 bikes are on it, it takes 3 persons to push the rack back in place. The 7 bike rack is pretty heavy. We put it on our RV and left it there for the whole summer. The anti-rattle doesn’t work well, the bikes swing a lot. Be sure to often verify the rubber straps that hold the bikes because sometimes they come off.”
