“I went to assigned store and was told to leave my bag behind a curtained area that already had other luggage. But was not given the bag seal/tags. When I requested them for some extra peace of mind (first time using the service), I was given a big argument from the shopkeeper that it wasn’t necessary. It was very off putting since it’s detailed in the confirmation email as standard practice. He eventually gave me the tags but only after making me feel bad for wanting them. He even said if I don’t feel comfortable without the tags to not even leave my bag there. Not very reassuring when I was going to an event at TD Garden and couldn’t bring my bag. If he hadn’t already made me late for the game with the whole tag debate I would have cancelled and tried to find somewhere else. Everything was fine when I went back after the game, bag was in same area with tags. So I appreciate the Vertoe service but this shopkeeper was very off putting and did not instill very much confidence in the service. I was very nervous to leave my bag there.”

“The idea of the service is great! Setting up a reservation is easy. The issue we had was with the actual place that held our stuff. The man told us that we needed to tip him (we were planning on it but he told us we needed to from the moment we met him). He then tried to aggressively sell us knock off designer bags. After this he “locked up” all of our stuff in a shady looking unlocked closet.”

“Great idea and a needed service! We were staying a two different Airbnbs and had to check out of one well before the check in time on the second. Dragging luggage around downtown nashville for 6 hours was not going to fly. This was easy! And luggage was secure! And met a great person!”

“It was my first time using this service and the booking process was seamless - however, the location/convenience store I booked at was filthy and no employee was wearing a mask, even when speaking to me. There were homeless people outside the shop and even one woman inside had her hands down her pants at one point... I felt quite unwelcome and unsafe leaving my items there. All in all, I'd book with Vertoe again as it did what was advertised, but I wish the company would better vet the locations. Will avoid the Waterfront stop at all costs.”
