Online booking very easy -.lots of venues to choose from in the right vicinity. No problems with finding the place however it was a busy deli/food store and we were told to just leave our cases in the store and someone would come and take them away. Not being prepared to do this we had to wait 15 mins for someone to come. ID tags used on bags to enable collection ......would recommend to people booking this type of storage to put these through the zip toggles for extra security. Easy collection ..no waiting.

The store stated that it opened at 10am and did not open until 10:30am. We waited outside for a half hour to drop off our bags.

Luggage storage in the city is a lifesaver in a pinch! Unfortunately, the location I chose did not meet my standards. They were rude and acted like it was a bother and a hassle to use their service. When we arrived to retrieve our bags they were just sitting on the floor almost where we left them. Did not feel secure or trustworthy to me. Would not use that location again but would probably use this company in a pinch

The bag procedure is not like the app describes. No security tags were used our bags were stored next to the soda fountain machine of an Italian restaurant out in the open.not in a secure room. All they gave us was a paper receipt of our name and how many bags we had. It was nice not to have to lug a bag around town but we were still worried we were being scamed. Probably won't use this service again.

+ves: location, price -ves: poor (actually bad) experience at the store I understand you cannot possibly control the store experience, but you may want to make sure the stores treat your customers right. I would use this service in future only if I can’t find any alternatives.

Not bad but the service was very unfriendly. I was a bit worried about their way of keeping my luggage, but anyway got it back unharmed :)

When I booked this, I was unaware that the place I would be storing my bags was in the back of a convenience store on unused shelves. The woman barely spoke English and threw my bags in the back. I had to ask her for the blue security tags and show her a picture because she did not know what I was talking about. She did not ask me any type of security questions or ask to see my reservation. Thankfully I had chatted with someone on the Vertoe team which had made me feel better when they told me this was normal and they partner with local convenience stores. When we picked up our bags, the man there asked to see our tag numbers which made me feel better that he had some idea of what he was doing. It was nice to be able to leave our bags somewhere for the day but I did not feel very comfortable leaving them until I talked to someone from Vertoe.

Located in a smoke shop, luggage was safe, but a long walk from Crystal City metro stop and I walked with 2 boys. (not thrilled to walk past “Gentleman’s Club and a few dodgy looking businesses). I’d choose something closer to Smithsonian castle, even if it farther from airport per map. With the metro any place nearer to Mall won’t be inconvenient from the airport.

I appreciate the service being available in DC but just wish the locations were closer to the Amtrak station. The staff at the independent business that stored my bags were helpful and courteous.

I love that this service of offered. The location that temporarily stored a piece of luggage was easy to locate and in close proximity to where I was located. The one concern I had was with the team at the location. It was my first experience with Vertoe and I wanted to educate myself on how the piece of luggage would be stored and out of the public’s eye. The front desk at the location seemed frustrated that I was asking detailed questions like where will bag be placed? How do you know this is my bag? Will bag be placed in a secured and private location? The lock being placed on the bag did not have a code or number. This took several minutes. After what seemed a painfully extraction from this particular team, I was finally comfortable allowing the bag to be stored. Fortunately, there were no issues/concerns when I came back to pick up my bag.

I made a reservation that I did not use due to a scheduling conflict. Thus far, I have not been able to make contact with the service provider to find out if an alternate date can be selected since the service was prepaid on Sept. 20th. If there is someone available to reply and assist, I would greatly appreciate it! -Shawn Kimberly

There was no tamper proof seals, so I couldn’t be sure that my luggage haven’t been opened, as promised.

The cafe I dropped my luggage off at was very casual and never even checked my name or which bags were mine. Thankfully there was no issue, but anyone could have walked in at any time. It was not that secure.

Strange experience. Our luggage was in a corner of a shop. I did not need the code. All i needed to retrieve my bag was a photo of it. Must say it would have been really easy for anyone to take a photo of all the bags in that corner...

I paid for 4 suitcases and stored only 3. Please refund for 1 suitcase. Also please issue receipts on storage .

We made the reservation the day before and arrived around 10:30am (they open at 10am). There were no lockers available. Our bags sat out in a hallway. Other alternatives for locations should be offered. I was not given that option.

The idea of Vertoe is excellent. I’m definitely giving it another try. But the woman who “helped” us at our drop off location was rude, gave super unclear instructions on what to do with our bags which in turn made me nervous to leave my stuff with her. It all worked out and I’ll say that it was not Vertoe that I was disappointed with rather the woman who was probably just having a bad day.
