My family and I traveled to Chicago, to celebrate several birthdays, and wanted to take a boat ride down magnificent mile. When we arrived 45min early we asked the attendant for directions to the accessible entry. (We had a baby stroller and two wheelchairs) The attendant told us what floor to go to on the elevator and that we would see the ramp. GREAT! We thought. The ramp took us to the other side of the building, outdoors and in the rain. When we returned to the attendant in the booth and asked her about her wrong directions she stated " I thought you said you wanted to go upstairs". Because of her misdirection we missed our boat ride. My mother and brother who has MS felt as if Because of them being in a wheelchair we missed the boat ride. No, we missed the boat ride and we're sent walking in the rain because of the attendant. Now the company is refusing to give me my refund. This is ridiculous!

Book a tour "Playa Uvas, all-inclusive beach break" with Viator. In the description it stated the only extra charge was transportation to/from cruise ship. We arrived at Playa Uvas and went to get towels by the pool. The clerk informed us that each towel rental was $7 and a $7 deposit. $42 CASH for the 3 of us. I spoke with the front desk managger and she said towels are not included, even though it stated nowhere on the website or tour tickets that there was an extra charge. I emailed Viator and they refused to refund my $21 spent. To date they still do not list towels as an extra fee. I do not like surprises or deception. Unfortuanty, Viator provided both for free. I will not be booking with Viator again. BEWARE of the unwritten!

If I could give no stars I would! Me and my husband decided to book a dual tour in Cabo San Lucas and he was seriously injured and had to be rushed by ambulance to the hospital . We could not finish the tour shortly after we started. The place we had our tour with put in a refund request on our behalf without us asking. Viator sent an email denying their request. This company shows no compassion or empathy for others and I strongly suggest that you book directly with the company instead of trip advisor (viator)!

Horrible customer service. Ticket link sent in app would not open tickets purchased. Called the number on voucher. Voice recording stated the company ceased operations on May 13th, 2024 and would no longer honor reservations. We purchased tickets for 2 adults and 1 child for over $200. Called Viator customer service. They were of no help. They contract with these vendors but do not stand by when vendors cease operations. Going with another vendor next time!! Or better yet, buy directly from Kennedy Space Center!

Viator cancelled my booking last min due to a glitch on their website. I ended up losing 360SGD (250USD) due to the currency conversion during refund and they refused to compensate me for their error.

Purchased a ticket to climb to top of Eiffel tower ticket never received when I finally got onto the 3rd person for help they sent a link after our departure time this meant we couldn't do the tour Have tried several ti.es for a refund no success or no response at all Avoid at all costs

I booked a Rome tour through Viator for my family of four. It was quite expensive. I went to the Viator web page and found a tour on June 17th. When I went to purchase it, the web page said that particular tour was sold out on that day, but "here are some similar tours that are available on that day". So I clicked on one and purchased it. Somewhere along the line, Viator's web page changed the date to June 4th. As soon as I received my confirmation email I contacted Viator and explained their mixup. I requested they revise the date to June 17th as I had entered into their system. This was literally within a few minutes of placing my order. I was told that all sales are final, no changes, no refunds. I proceeded to spend the next six hours of my European vacation with numerous Viator support people and supervisors trying to rectify their mistake, to no avail. Viator tried to wash their hands of this saying that it was not their responsibility and that it was in the hands of their third-party tour operator. This is not true, because I purchased the ticket from Viator's web page. They sold me this product. This has left me with such a feeling of being robbed. I'm out over $600 and received absolutely nothing in return. It is worth noting that I never entered the Date June 4th. The only date I entered into Viator's web page was June 17th. I was scammed! The simple correction I require is for Viator to honour my request to change the date of the tour to June 17th - as I had entered to start the process. Date of experience: June 04, 2024

I booked a tour to Rainbow Mountain months ago. Money was withdrawn from my account. I wanted to make sure with the travel company the day before my trip. I contacted Viator app. The tour operator did not respond to anything, I also called, there was no answer and the line was not working, it went straight to message. I contacted Viator and explained the situation, it does nothing but sends emails. On my trip the next day, it just sends emails to the company. I woke up early at 4.30 in the morning, I waited in front of my hotel in the freezing cold but no one came. My hotel booked another trip and I only went to Rainbow Mountain the next day. I went to the company address on my travel day with Viator, but there is no such company at that address. I asked everyone there, no one knows the company. Viator works with this fake company and group that makes its customers miserable. I had to wait 72 hours for my money to be refunded. This is such a shame.

Terrible company. Booked a tour bc it said cancellable ON THEIR BOOKING PAGE! Confirmation comes and says no changes or cancellations. WHAT?! After lots of wasted time on phone and by email, they wouldn’t refund the tour even though I had a screenshot (attached here) showing that it said refundable! Only was able to obtain refund bc the actual tour operator cancelled for me. WILL NEVER USE VIATOR AGAIN and I advise you not to either. Book directly with the operators.

The tour company in Italy had to delay their tour so my husband and I could not longer join as we had previous plans based on the agreed upon time. Viator told me that the tour was non-refundable. Period. I had to say I wanted to book another tour in order to get someone on the phone. The email links took me to a website that tried to charge my CC for 66.00, I will never deal with this company again!

Had booked a tour to Auschwitz in Poland. It was the whole reason a trip to Poland was planned. It was paid for and confirmed. 16 hours prior to the tour the company cancelled! There was no time to book elsewhere as we were leaving for home. Wasted THOUSANDS of dollars on this trip with main purpose to see Auschwitz. Leaving without seeing it. Awful awful awful. Never again with this company.

I bought a tour ticket from them to visit Mr Fuji in Japan. I had a very bad experience with the tour organiser and They did not even bother to listen to my problem. Never recommend them.

I have tour using via tour and they rubbed us for paying which we didn't get. They are not refunding us for the service that we didn't get from them. Since the customer is not from Canada. They just refuse to return the money. What a nice move. Until now I am very upset. You book a flight, hotel to see niagara Falls and experience but no help or other options. That day we are struggling for waiting for the bus while we are wet because it was raining.

I had a tour scheduled for 5/21/24. On 5/7/24, I canceled my tour due to an injury. My Viator account clearly said that it was canceled. On 5/19/24, while I was on said vacation, I was notified by my bankcard that Viator charged my card$130. I immediately got online and contacted Viator. I chatted with 3 different people 3 days in a row. All they could say was your tour had been canceled and there was no charge. Yet there was clearly a charge that is still on my card as of 5/29/24. I am now having to go through disputing the charge through my bank because Viator will do nothing. I would NEVER use this company again. And I will male sure everyone I know will not use them either.

I have traveled with Viator in 4 different countries. - but i just returned from Dublin and honestly - you've outdone yourself. We booked a "food tour". Not really expecting that much WoW! Our guide - Granya - I know I'm misspelling her name. We went to 3 pubs sampling different dishes along the way. But this woman turned this day into a day of learning about Ireland's history and culture. She was amazing and if you can tell her about this rave I would be grateful .

I purchased tickets for an event with Viator. Credit was used to purchase them. Received confirmation from Viator. When I tried to retrieve the tickets. I received a message that order was canceled. Viator never contacted me to let me know that they canceled my order. I called my credit card company and they stated Viator charged the card, but then canceled. I called Viator to see why they canceled and was on hold for a very long time and they never got back to me. Very disappointed in Viator. I had to call other companies at the last minute to purchase new tickets.

Bought tickets of colloseum which said skip the line. It was self guided tour. On the day struggled to find them and when I eventually did she didn't know my name and then called people and realised I should be on the list. Sent me entry passes for completely random people. I asked as it said to bring ID and they check. She dismissed it saying it'll be fine and if they stop at security checkpoint then come back. Not only was this against GDPR and data protection, it was dangerous and could have gotten me into trouble. Had to still stand in the line for 45min before I got in panicking throughout as ticket wasn't in our name. I wonder if they gave tickets with our names to other people which would be another data breach. On the way out I realised the tickets cost €16 for which I had paid them €42.90 per person

I booked a tour on a Viator tour on Trip advisors website. It was written that I could cancel the tour up to 24 hours beforehand for a full refund. I unfortunately had to cancel the tour and I notified them 1 full week in advance. They denied getting my phone call , then refused to refund my money. I contacted my credit card company -explained the situation and the credit card company refunded my money. I then received a threatening email from Viator demanding that I contact my credit card company and request that they refund Viator the money back -or else-Viator would report me to a collection agency and take action to get a refund with interest fees accrued. I did NOT contact my credit card company to have them refund the money. But after a month my credit card company contacted me to tell me they refunded Viator and that I would be responsible for dealing with Viator directly to get my money back. So WARNING-DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CORRUPT COMPANY-YOU WILL LOSE TIME AND MONEY!!!

Absolutely the worst. Did nit come through on any of our reservations even after dropping 550.00 on a private tour. Supposedly the operator even confirmed with tour company tickets were good to go. Found out 1hr after tour to start that it had been cxd. Of course couldn't get tickets anywhere for once in lifetime attraction.
