Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. Founded in 1988, Acorne Sports is the original experience company and it’s their stamp of approval that confirms our pedigree and ability to deliver unforgettable experiences. “I bought my husband a two night break for two in Edinburgh City Hotel, we tried booking for his birthday by calling seven weeks in advance. Unfortunately the hotel did not have any availability so we decided to extend the voucher as it was near expiry. This time we called the hotel 10 weeks in advance for the dates we required and again there is no availability. The first set of dates they have available are in September, which is beyond our voucher expiry in June. Why sell this experience if it is never going to be available. It's a waste of money!!!”

“Chapel Down wine tour with dinner and fizz: We arrived in the afternoon and went straight out to join the tour. We saw the different types of vines and were told about the growing process. Then we went into the winery to see the tanks and presses. Finally we saw the barrels and were explained about the bottling process. We then went to the shop for our wine tasting which was a very generous sample of many of the wines on offer and given a lovely gift. To finish off we had a lovely 3 course meal with fizz in the restaurant. An excellent day out!”

“Disappointing, my wife received a Jet Rush Boat trip in London and meal at Pierre Marco Whites Steak house as a gift, but the small print restricted the boat trip to non school holidays and not on Saturdays or bank holidays - not much use for teaching staff. The restaurant couldn't be booked more than 48 hours in advance - useless for someone living in the Midlands. We paid £23 extra to go the Harry Potter Studios instead but when booking in February we discovered our chosen date in July was fully booked. Seems a bit of a scam to me! Will not use Virgin Experiences by choice.”

“We had an excellent meal at a Michelin starred restaurant in London. Using the Virgin Experience voucher was really easy - we just called up the restaurant to make a reservation, told them we had a voucher and brought it on the day. When we arrived the staff already had our special menu on the table but were also keen to know if there was anything we didn't like the look of and they would have been happy to change it. There was no need, as every one of the five courses was delicious. A lovely, stress-free experience that I would happily recommend as a special treat.”

“Had a fabulous day, one of my bucket items, wether was perfect didn't get any funny feeling when lifting off I expected, a wonderful present from my husband for our 30th anniversary. To see London from such a different perspective was very enjoyable. Fabulous”

“A fantastic day out, a perfect treat! My daughter chose this for her birthday. Delicious tea's to choose from and the food was just heavenly. The staff were very friendly and helpful and accommodated any requests we had. We will definitely going again.”

“I received the comedy night for two voucher from my secret Santa at work. My boyfriend and I went to the comedy club at Heaven Nightclub and it was fantastic! We went on a Friday night and saw 4 amazing comedians. The audience was mostly made up of couples as well as a few friend groups and a hen do. I would massively recommend.”
