Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. Founded in 1988, Acorne Sports is the original experience company and it’s their stamp of approval that confirms our pedigree and ability to deliver unforgettable experiences. Acorne ’s unrivalled reputation, knowledge and relationship with all of the featured centres made them the perfect partners for Virgin Experience, a company dedicated to making sure customers have the very best time. “Did the Wembley stadium tour with my son, & we both thought it was brilliant. Richard, our guide, was very knowledgeable, very amusing & was more than helpful to take pictures for everybody. Highly recommended”

“Was given a voucher to use at Mercure hotels for my 40th birthday. We stayed at Mercure Leeds, hotel was very tired and needed updated over 10 minutes waiting to check in was told we could upgrade as hotel was full, although place apperaed empty! Tried to get a drink at the bar pressed bell 3 times before anyone came out. Tried to order a taxi to town, again no one around and i resorted in phoning the reception to get attention! Very poor customer service and value for money, i am surprised Virgin are associated with this hotel!”

“The flight was fantastic, and loved that I got to pilot the plane all by myself, though the experience didn't feel very special. The building at Redhill had burnt down recently, so the waiting area was a porta-cabin with no toilet (you had to use a key and go through scaffolding to get to the toilet). Also they did run an hour behind, so I hope you can entertain yourself if need be. So while the experience itself was very good, the day out didn't feel very much like an experience I would want to gift another person.”

“Poor user experience in trying to book the activity. Website not fit for purpose. Activity only takes place once a month, and you can't book more than around 6 weeks in advance so took over 5 months to find a free slot (and that was because we took a day off to use it during the week)”

“I booked a haircut and blowdry with the hair group well over a month ago now. I phoned as instructed, and was told that they would phone back between 3-10 days. Like I said, over a month ago. I have tried to contact them, but they don't ring back. Virgin are also quite unhelpful. There appears to be no way to complain or report things.”

“I had a bump to babies photo package and was told that I could view and select a photograph after my pregnancy shoot. This was not the case on the day which I was disappointed about.”

“I purchased this as a birthday present and it was a great day out, the tour was very informative and interesting. Purchasing from Virgin experience days was very easy to do plus a bargain price as if purchased directly would have cost a lot more. We would highly recommend.”
