Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. Founded in 1988, Acorne Sports is the original experience company and it’s their stamp of approval that confirms our pedigree and ability to deliver unforgettable experiences. Acorne ’s unrivalled reputation, knowledge and relationship with all of the featured centres made them the perfect partners for Virgin Experience, a company dedicated to making sure customers have the very best time. “Enjoyed an afternoon cream tea at Chiddingstone Castle in the Kent countryside. Lovely castle with beautiful gardens and lakes and so many artefact collections from Japanese, Buddhist, Egyptian and English Stuart history periods. The cream tea was perfect.”

“Had a trip up the shard, was a lovely sunny day and view was sensational. Spent over an hour there, and enjoyed a drink whilst taking In the scenery. Highly recommend it, makes a very good present for someone.”

“I paid more than the price in the shop for the 3 course meal and the cost of the meal which I might had was separate choices of meals to the main menu. 15.50 each three course menu per person and I paid 40.00. Not good value for money and waiting time terrible 3.00 clock went in for booking 330before we even ordered first course ,the rest of the course was very dragged out too got out after 5. . Booking and changing virgin experience good not good for value if company doing better deal .”

“A fantastic trip to the Shard.Views were spectacular,staff were available if needed. Whole experience was perfect...we even spotted a lovely location for drinks & nibbles afterwards... Vinegar Yard in the vale of the Shard”

“What a joke! Have sent 4 e mails , with no response. I have been unable to purchase a virgin day experience using my voucher.. No one answer a phone, let it ring for 30 mins, lost all my credit!!!! Taken up all of my time absolutely disgusted with this company. Feel terribly let down!”

“These are great value for money and easy to book . I have had numerous vouchers out most recent a 2 night stay in ruthin castle. I will be buying many more in the future . They make super gifts. Would reccomend”

“After booking the spa day in advance for my mother and aunty (that was visiting from abroad), they received a call on the day to say that due to staff shortages they had to reschedule for an appointment next week. My mother informed the staff that this was not possible as my aunty would be leaving the country at the end of the week and that it is not fair to inconvenience the customer and they should find some replacement/agency staff. All credit due, the member of staff on the phone said she would call my mother back, to which she did and advised the full body massage (x2)could still go ahead but at a different time to what was originally booked. I thought this was the only positive thing from this entire experience, as this member of staff did her best to make it happen and avoided it being cancelled all together. The package included cream tea for two, consisted of two scones and butter. On the Virgin Website other reviews had uploaded photographs of fresh strawberries, cream and jam. My aunty asked for coffee instead of tea, but apparently both coffee machines were out of service. In the Spa, my mother and aunty informed staff that the water cooler was empty, but nothing was done to refill it. The temperature was over 30 degrees and water should have been available for them, or at least advised where else to go to access drinking water. I was really excited to see photos and hear about their luxury spa day but my mother came home with a headache. After hearing their experience it is not worth the money. Perhaps other Marriott Hotels offer better services but I would not recommend the Bexleyheath branch. Swimming pool was occupied all afternoon with children's swimming lessons so unable to use the pool.”
