Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. Founded in 1988, Acorne Sports is the original experience company and it’s their stamp of approval that confirms our pedigree and ability to deliver unforgettable experiences. Acorne ’s unrivalled reputation, knowledge and relationship with all of the featured centres made them the perfect partners for Virgin Experience, a company dedicated to making sure customers have the very best time. “Had a lovely 3 course champagne dinner for two at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester. The venue was lovely and the staff great. The food was sublime. Will definitely be returning.”

“I was bought a Triple Car Blast experience voucher for my 50th birthday in December. When I went to book the day in May there were only 3 days available before the voucher expired in August. I went to the venue and it was the wrong place. My main complaint is there is no reminder before the event of the venue, time, place, or a map. I've had a Segway voucher which was a much cheaper experience and received 2 reminders in the week before the experience, including all of the above! When I returned home my girlfriend tried to sort this out by speaking to Virgin experience/Acorne and nobody would help. I have terminal cancer so stressful situations are not good for me. We will not be booking any further experiences or dealing with Virgin in the future!!!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at Oakley Court. The hotel is very impressive with lovely grounds. We had a nice room with huge bed, overlooking the river.....perfect! Dinner and breakfast were very good indeed. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We would definitely visit again.”

“3 course meal with cocktails and river cruise was a present from our son, and from start to finish (as he also purchased tea for 2 at the Royal Albert Hall) the experience was amazing....could not fault it :)”

“It was amazing driving 5 different super cars round a track. The only problem I had was when I was booking it we got a list of cars we were able to drive. When we arrived I was told we couldn't have one of the cars because it was an upgrade which you had to pay extra for. And one of my cars got swapped for one I wasn't interested in. They managed to get me in the car I wanted at the start but took over 3 hours to be able to do this. Other then these problems one of the best days ever”

“My biggest problem was selecting an "Experience" venue on the website. The choices shown on the list given had locations and addresses but didn't have web links to be able to check them out or compare easily. Booking was also only by phone rather than an on-line facility. Very awkward, frustrating and cumbersome compared to booking rooms on other sites.”
