Dear Mr Onur Köksal, I am client of vision express Swiss Cottage branch. I am finalising the contact lenses process of trials. I was very happy with Priya the optometrist and Ash sales assistant and wrote a brilliant google review accordingly. They are also well aware that I am a cancer patient. Unfortunately on Saturday 20th Jan I went to the branch and the front desk lady couldn’t find my appointment in the computer , I showed her the email confirmation and text confirmation and took me to another computer to check. A colleague came to assist and eventually I was told I had to wait as they couldn’t find me but the will fit me in between appointments. Unfortunately some of the undesirable side effects of cancer treatments is incontinence, bladder and bowel problems. After a while waiting I felt in real need of a toilet and asked to please let me use the toilet explaining that I am a cancer patient and I was really desperate, I was told NO by not one but 3 of your employees. Two said said the toilets are for the staff and not for public use, I implored to make an exception taking into account my disability and I was refused and invited to walk out of the shop and visit a nearby McDonalds. By this time any sudden move felt very risky and I was getting increasingly stressed second by second, physically sick and humiliated by the refusal of your staff and by the fact that not one person from vision express staff was able to make an exception considering my condition. I find this inhuman, unkind, and shows that they were unable to take a decision to make an exception to their toilet company policy of staff only use. By then I was in tears, incredibly upset, I open the door to leave the premises but it was too late. I was already soiled . Then I gave a thought and came back into the shop and told them it was too late and the damage was already done, so I was going to have my appointment done as I wasn’t intending to come back to the shop again. I am writing to you to let you know that I find disgraceful the behaviour of your staff towards a client clearly in need, this tells you clearly the lack of empathy and absolute disregard towards a disabled ill person with cancer. I do understand they are not obliged to let clients use the toilet as staff only use is the company policy, however sometimes a little bit of kindness goes a long way when there is a person in need, they showed a lack of decision making as one of them ( I.e. shop manager could have make an exception). To clarify the appointment was at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning and the shop was not busy at all, in fact I think I was the only client left when I was about to leave. When I sat back on the chair the optometrist mentioned that she couldn’t carry out the test because of the tears on my eyes. I was given some tissues dried my eyes and continue with my appointment in such a state. Not very pleasant at all, left me feeling really low and disheartened about how this society has become so ill and selfish.

I brought my sun glasses from vision express pune in somewhere October 2022. I kept them in my collection but want to use them in summer because I was travelling that time. After 4-5 months i checked to use them but it's was cracked from 2 place. I brought that in almost 5000 I was surprised to see the quality I was not expecting this from big brand. I will never go to vision express.

Step by step information and guidance. I didn't need new glasses on this occasion. I paid for the extra deeper testing of my vision with their new machinery, it was £10 but I felt worth it as I was able to look at the close up shots taken of the underlying layers of my eyes.

I visited the oxted store and was greeted by extremely helpful staff. I was made to feel at ease as soon as I walked through the door. Kerry was lovely. Really helpful . She helped select the right style of glasses for me. I would highly recommend this branch to family and friends. Thank you for all your help.

Now I remember why in 2020 I left Vision Express. Arrived on time for appointment but so far sitting in reception for 20 mins. Doesn't look like I'll be seen anytime soon. All the memories of previous poor service came flooding back. I decided to try again because I got a voucher / credit for an eye test. This isn't worth the excruciatingly bad service. I'm off. I'm not giving them a penny more of my money.

I had a very pleasant experience at Vision Express in BrenCross branch today. A very helpful gentleman by the name Hooman helped to fix my glasses. He didn’t even ask me, where I had purchased them, he was very polite, pleasant and very helpful. All VE staff are incredibly nice and helpful.

Absolutely awful, even 1 star is too much. Reglazed my frames with the highest specification lenses from these guys that cost close to £300. Within 6 months, the scratch proof coating had come off. Went back to them and they said there’s nothing they can do about it as it's not within their 100-day guarantee. This company used to be good but is now awful. Hiked-up prices - do yourself a favour and get lenses online - Vision Express will try and tell you online lenses will be low quality, but they are far better than the rubbish these guys sell!

I suggest find a different optician set up. I have had a very unhappy experience with Vision Express. I have been wearing progressive glasses for four years. I needed to replace them and had meanwhile shifted to Delhi. They charged less, using Indian glasses, which was OK to me. The technician did the eye power reading work. I ordered two spectacles. But when few days later I can I was very disturbed by the right eye being completely out of focus with blurred images. So I refused to pick them up. Then another technician repeated the eye check up and found a different reading. He seemed more knowledgeable than the lady who had checked the first time. Few days later I was told a senior technician would come from Manesar. So I went and the process was repeated. After that they took more than two weeks to receive the glasses and specs from Goa/Manesar. I collected them having taken the commitment. But the glasses are unsuitably set. I still prefer my older glasses but that frame is on its last legs. So I am stuck with these expensive glasses. My view is that Vision Express lacks technical ability, in assessing the eye powers, in making glasses in their factory in Goa and also in fitting them properly. These new glasses are off centre and not suitable for either computer work or reading or for the 5 to 10 feet distance usage. Perhaps I will find new frames for my old glasses. I am stuck. You may be lucky and I wish you good luck. There is no reason for you to be also stuck.

My glasses weren’t correct, and my eyes had difficulty focusing. I went back to tell them. They checked the glasses against their prescription, and told me they were correct. I said my left eye struggled to focus, and their answer was to say if I could see with both eyes at once, then that was ok! Cost me over £400 for lenses only. Go forward a year, and got my eyes checked at Asda, and given new glasses. Had to go back as I felt eye strain after 2 weeks. Was thoroughly checked again and previous glasses reviewed, to be told the alignment on the vision express glasses was totally out… worst she has seen, and my eyes had been permanently altered/ damaged as a result.

I arrived for my appointment with seconds to spare, this ws due to a traffic problem involving the police and a car chase....we all had to pull over and wait a while.....I really needed the toilet when I got there but they said no......so I had to go and find a toilet before I had my appointment making me even later.....so I was stressed....during the appointment I needed the toilet again...probably because I'd rushed it the first time and not properly emptied my bladder......at the final stage where I had to choose new specs I was unable to concentrate as I was getting desperate for the toilet.....the assistant told me to go over Starbucks...saying that's were she goes to the loo...I didn't go back to chose my new specs and I won't be going back either ....for goodness sake how can they refuse the use of the toilet....I was desperate....I've used that branch for 15 years.

I bought a pair of Rayban branded frames, two years ago, with prescription lenses, cost about £400 plus. Had my eyes tested two weeks ago, but told no need to change glasses as my prescription had not changed. This week I broke the arm off one side, it just came apart at the join. Took them in and asked for a repair, but told that it was not possible, despite previously having been told that “We don’t offer repairs, you’ll have to buy a new pair of frames…” So, not very happy. I looked online and it seems a number of companies offer paid repaired for about £20. Vision express need to stop treating customers as a “ Revenue Stream” Very unhappy, and my wife and family won’t be buying our future glasses there.

What a horrible company! We had our eyes tests and I had my glasses done by them. The test was ok but getting the glasses was a nightmare. They tell you in person it'll take up to a week and that they'll send a message to let you know they're done. None of that happened and when you call them, they never pick up (at any time in the day). And when my partner managed to contact their Headoffice, spoke to someone called Paul who was very dismissive and didn't want to hear anything we had to say and then hang up the phone. And that was the Headoffice!! Shocking!! But I suppose that reflects the entire company. I regretted going to them and will avoid them in the future. My partner had the glasses done at Specsavers and has got them, while two weeks now and I'm still waiting.
