Absolutely awful! Started off paying £44 a month for my phone and data etc, bill crept up to £67! After wrongfully charging me for a Dongle with an extra 1GB of data on! For months and months I had to pay this when I NEVER asked for it. Then I had to wait until I was eligible for free cancellation, Finally now I am able to leave vodafone next month I have managed to get back £35 which they owe me. Vodafone thinks £10 'good will' is acceptable for over 2+ years of awful customer service, wrongful charges. Dreadful

Vodafone – “The Worst Company in the History of the Earth” Bad customer service and the continuing concern over safe data storage is something that I feel passionately about. After personally going through a very distressing call with the telecoms giant Vodafone I decided that interrupting my usual blogs to inform others about their mistakes would be the right thing to do. It is shocking to see how little some large corporates value their customer service and I personally feel it is only right to highlight some of the fails from my own experience so that others can be extra vigilant and so that maybe businesses can learn. After learning in the classroom about how good customer service should be approached I find it interesting that in reality this is rarely how it happens. Following the massive amounts of data breaches over the last few years it is worrying to discover how a large company can still under value customers concerns over protecting their data and proceed to blatant lies in order to avoid staying past their closing time of 8pm. While many may argue that this is the case of only two call handlers I must highlight where my blog title came from. After the call, I looked at Trust Pilot and saw reviews from more than 4,000 Vodafone customers. Their star rating is 1 out of 5 with a mass of disgruntled customers writing bad reviews. The one that stood out was titled “The Worst Company in the History of the Earth” After reading these I kicked myself for not looking at this first. Customers receive false security thinking that such a large company must be successful for a reason - surely, they must get it right? Another reason for this blog is to carry out a social experiment for my studies. I am curious how much companies do value social media and how they are perceived on these platforms. I would be interested to see if Vodafone do respond to my social posts at all? I would like to invite Vodafone to respond with a formal apology and message of some reassurance to myself and the other thousands of upset customers on Trust Pilot. Will they really listen? Do they actually care? Watch this space….. Why Vodafone Failed …………….. FAIL 1: Vodafone cannot change the you have failed the credit check message because the volume of calls we would then receive would be unmanageable. (Never mind the damage telling people have failed the credit check will cause) FAIL 2: When passing a call from handler to handler no information was provided meaning a further 30 minutes was spent explaining things again. FAIL 3: Mohab called the credit team and then advised us that they had no pending applications at all. This proved that someone had lied to us, either the first lady or Mohab who had given us conflicting information. FAIL 4: After asking to speak to a manager we were told that we were not able to do that because we were not Vodafone customers. Is this any way to speak to potential new customers? FAIL 5: After continually assuring us they held no personal data on us we received texts and emails that later enabled us to log on and see our information. After this Mohab was able to read out bank details and much more. A distressing result. FAIL 6: After being on the phone for an hour and a half Mohab told us that he could not continue the call as they closed at 8pm and it was then 8:10pm. Not a good way to deal with concerned customers.

I have been with vodafone for almost 10 years. I am now trying (and failing) to cancel my contract. The customer service is now disgraceful. I have been spoken to rudely, they have been condescending, and frankly utterly dishonest and disorganised. Talked into an upgrade then let down. Not had deliveries, put in 3 complaints, and still not had my issues resolved. Basically I am now trying (after over a week) to re-cancel my contract and cannot get a single person to resolve it. I have lost a days work due to lack of delivery, and purchased items for an upgrade that I have not had. Up until this year I have not had too much problem, however, once cancelled I will NEVER use Vodafone again. They simply do not care about their customers, new or existing, and it shows.

They have hidden extras such as charging huge amounts for international calls and non geographical calls. Wish we had stayed with BT! Broadband drops out frequently too. Cannot wait for contract period to end!

I've had 4 contracts over 5years with Vodafone I've there customer service is absalutly terrible. I've cancelled 3 my contracts early go to Tesco my 4th contract I cancelled 1month and 2weeks ago as they told me it would be £190 to cancel. I still no invoice or notice from Vodafone for final bill I rang them 30minutes ago and tell me termination fee is now £300 and would knock £10 of my bill for false information. I advice everyone not to go with them.

Customer service is shocking. They rang me and asked me to take part in a survey. Then as a thank you they sent me a 'free' tablet as a gift but then charged me £15/month for it. When I complained and asked them to take it back they said I was locked into a 2 year contract and would need to pay £300 to get out of it. I had never signed anything but Vodafone don' see a none signed contract as anything other than a signed contract. Don't believe a word Vodafone customer service tell you and stay well clear of the company.

REALLY BAD!!!!!! Worst mobile company ever, we made many calls to customers services who tell us the issue is resolved. I have no active contract with this company but still receiving bills from them and today we received a letter from the debt collectors. Just scamming people and damaging the credit score.

Vodafone robs the costumer. Coustumer service is not helpful at all. Their costumer service will tell you to fuck off when you are about to leave their contract and ask for compensation. They are the most expensive network provider after you join them. The have a different department who can argue for days and won't let you speak at all. Don't go to Vodafone ever worst network provider in uk.

I had a new phone bought online, which for some reason VF cancelled, yet still took the payment. Now 20 days later they are still refusing to refund the £109, I keep getting reassurance that the money will be investigated and they will sort it out. One person even accused me of inflating the figure, Rude is not the word.
