“Not enough choice for flavours/nicotine strength, e-pen catridges too expensive, mouth piece comes off too easily and have already lost one of them, throat hit not good enough? The only positive is that they do not leak!”

“I started using these as a way to give up smoking and I must admit they are brilliant! I was a very heavy smoker and nothing else really worked for me.... until now! I haven't smoked a real cigarette in months now and these keep the cravings totally under control, the best thing I have tried to date. As far as service goes, im less then impressed. I have received discount codes that don't work, I cant get hold of the correct colour tips and to buy direct costs more then getting them from Tesco! (once you add postage).”

“Love the cherry juice and vanilla, and the fact that the pens do not leak, and are very clean to use. It would be even better if a bigger battery could be provided, so the charge lasted longer though. Also the juice doesn't make me cough!”

“This is the first time I have used e fags so my experience is somewhat limited and I have nothing to compare them to. Initially, they give a hit at the back of the throat not dissimilar to real fags, but they do have a number of drawbacks, The leave you with a slightly burning sensation in the throat, mouth and lips. There is also a sweet aftertaste, which I do not like. I have also experienced a dryness in the mouth which makes me constantly drink. The tips do not last very long. At the rate I "puff", I go through about 1 to 2 tips a day. So a pack of 4 tips lasts me 2 to 4 days, depending on usage. Not too bad costwise, certainly a lot cheaper than the real thing. However, cost is not the main reason that I chose to use them. The Jury is still out on these for me. I'll give it a month or two and see whether I get accustomed to the experience.”

“To be honest, I've always been very sceptical about e-cigarettes. I have smoked for pretty much the whole of the last nearly 20 years, having only managed to not smoke when pregnant or breastfeeding, or in the immediate days/weeks following yet another quit attempt. I have tried hypnotherapy, NRT using gum/patches, Allen Carr's Easyway, willpower and bloodymindedness...but I, for some reason, always eventually ended up smoking again. I didn't like the 'newness' of e-cigs; the lack of time needed for side effects to be discovered etc- but then I decided that I clearly wasn't managing to quit going cold turkey, so bought this e-pen thingy, thinking that it surely couldn't be more harmful than cigarettes. I'm happy to say I'm impressed. I'm only on day 4 of not smoking, so very aware that it's still early days, but I'm managing to not smoke without any real effort at all. I keep the pen at home, and sneak off for a little 'fix' if I feel it's needed. It's not the exact same hit you get from smoking a cig, but it takes enough of the edge off to stop me from walking to the shop and buying some. It was super easy and quick to set up, and arrived quickly too. If you're considering buying one in order to help with a quit attempt then go for it- I've already saved more than the cost of the starter kit just by not buying fags for 4 days, so it's win-win.”
