My experience at Wall Street English started off excellently from February 2024 to June 2024. During this time, I learned a lot from my coach, who was always available whenever I needed help. She was dedicated, explained grammar and pronunciation clearly, and used tools like paper and pen to help me understand my mistakes. I felt like I was making real progress and was motivated to continue learning. However, things took a turn for the worse in July 2024 when my coach left Wall Street English. For an entire month, I was left without a coach, and no one from the center contacted me to address the situation. When they finally assigned me a new coach, nothing improved. The new coach only called me to remind me about social club events, complementary sessions, or encounters, which I could easily check on the app myself. I felt like I was being treated as just another number, not a student who genuinely wanted to learn. The activities available to me were also very limited. I only had access to 8 activities per level, including the encounter, which is not enough to effectively learn English. Since September, I’ve found going to the center to be boring and repetitive. The activities are the same, and nothing new or engaging is offered. My coach is still not providing the support I need, and the lack of progress has made me lose motivation. The end-of-level assessments have also been disappointing. From February 2024 to June 2024, my first coach made sure to explain my mistakes in detail and helped me improve. But from July onwards, the end-of-level process has been reduced to simply reading feedback, which I could do on my own or even with the help of ChatGPT. This method feels lazy and ineffective, especially considering the high cost of the program (6000 Tunisian Dinars). It feels like a scam, as I’m not getting the value I paid for. I’ve learned more on my own using resources like ChatGPT, TikTok, and YouTube than I have at Wall Street English. I’ve made several complaints to my commercial representative, asking for a coach change or a solution to my problems, but nothing has been done. When I requested more activities, I was told that I’m limited to 8 per level, even though I was promised unlimited access to activities before signing the contract. This false advertising is frustrating and unfair. Even when I spoke to a manager, I was told it wasn’t their responsibility and that I should talk to the commercial team instead. As for the encounters, my experience has been mixed. While some teachers, like Annie, were excellent and made me fall in love with English again, others were disappointing. For example, one teacher at the Megrine center spoke to us in Arabic and had an unprofessional attitude. I had to file a complaint and switch to another teacher to have a better experience. In conclusion, my experience at Wall Street English has been overwhelmingly negative. The lack of support, limited activities, and broken promises have made it feel like a scam. I would not recommend this center to anyone looking to learn English. Instead, I encourage people to explore other options or even self-study using free online resources. Wall Street English Megrine has not lived up to its promises, and I feel like my time and money have been wasted.
