Food was not up to standard, strange choices, odd selections. With a roast the veges were red pepper, red onion and courgette! I asked for prunes in juice for breakfast starter, got five prunes and no juice. Carpets dirty cobwebs in corridors. The only positive was the staff who were good. This is for Holme Lacy House.

We have just returned from a two night stay at Studley Castle. Rooms were spotless, large and very comfortable bed. Activities were limited due to Covid but lovely relaxed feeling everywhere. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and service was prompt in the restaurant. The food in the Market Garden was not very inspiring but the quantity was adequate. Decor very whimsical in the public areas! Lovely setting. Only problem for us was the distances we had to walk, in common with all Warner hotels. A good break.

Food and service good, maintenance call very quick to attend, staff friendly and professional. Bowls facilities excellent. BUT. I was in TM604, the bathroom was bordering on dangerous. Cracked WC bowl, towel rail (if that is what it is)was unusable due to its location over the WC and visible electrical connections. You may say “ What do you expect for the price? “ My reply is “ Not 1950 standards”

Back after 4 nights. Meals were disappointing. Waited over 40 minutes after ordering main meal. Many items missing how can you have carrot and coriander soup only to be told sorry no coriander? Many desserts missing chef’s specials were missing. Entertainment very hit and miss. The 4 of us were so disappointed with Warner’s at Gunton Hall. One of the best things was the very happy waitress Chloe.

We stayed at Lakeside and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We think that, after the Covid-19 Pandemic, that every effort to get the site up to scratch was commendable. The staff were both friendly and helpful. Our visit was from 4 October to 8 October and on the first evening we were both of us unable to get to the evening meal( we are both disabled) a bit of a. quandary, which resulted in a phone call to reception and before we knew it two meals were delivered to our room. Thanks go to Paul(manager) who was/is a very nice man. We managed to get to breakfast the next morning and Nathan, in his wisdom, changed our table allocation so we would be nearer the carvery . Many thanks for that. A special mention to Jack our server. The talented staff were wonderful and again a special mention to James Cooper . He has so much energy that we were out of breath just watching him. All in all a very pleasant break and we will definitively recommend it and we will return

Comfortable room. Kind and efficient housekeeping staff. Problems.... I planned to swim every day but the changing rooms and showers were out of bounds. I was advised to arrive in my swimsuit, dry off at a chair, then return to my chalet!! I was not going to walk through the grounds in a wet costume with my coat on top! There were 4 staff members standing at checkin, they could have sanitized the changing rooms in between use! Only one disabled toilet available. The toilet in the chalet was too low and l had difficulty getting up. I could not use the inaccessible shower. On my last visit to Dinah Warren l had my own table in the dining room and my sister was Graham. This time l have sat at a different place for each meal, have not got to know any of my fellow travellers, have been restricted to the meals which are waiter served because, in the dark of the dining room, l could not find my way back to the table! On the first evening l had the carvery but my meal was cold by the time l had returned to my seat. I returned to Dinah Warren because l loved it so much and have been very disappointed this time. Vivid cannot be blamed for the poor conditions.

We have stayed at most Warner hotels and they and the staff are very nice but when it comes to paying and getting your club cards (silver/gold/platinum becomes a nightmare

We have just returned from staying at Nidd Hall. Poor Service The most disappointing aspect of the stay was the poor service. It was necessary to go looking for staff to place drinks orders. Service was impossibly slow. Staff seemed to be actively avoiding customers. Cold Bedroom and Public Rooms Our room was cold. A heated towel rail does not compensate for a bedroom where the guest has no heating till late afternoon. I phoned reception to be told that the electric heater would be available at 4.30. It is also automatically turned off again early evening. Cold Corridors We were located in room 95 East Wing. The ground floor is especially cold as the doorway for access for the laundry trolleys was left open by staff. Dusty Bedroom and Public Spaces The dusty radiator in the bedroom when it did work filled the room with the smell of hot dust. As we had lunch one day we couldn’t help but notice thick dust in the corners of the room on the polished floors. So much for additional Covid levels of cleaning. Cofftea The name for our breakfast cup of liquid refreshment. Mixing the stainless steel thermos jugs is never a good idea. The result is tea that tastes like coffee and coffee that tastes like tea. Perhaps it would be a good starting point if you are looking to improve the service. Will we be back, no I don’t think so. You still have a lot to learn.

We were first timers at corton coastal village resort Norfolk we’d booked a 3 day break our chalet was spotless lots to do inside and out boule, shuffle ball, archery rifle range mini golf green bowls inside there was a quiz and a movie( check times) our waitress was Kerry very helpful always sat at the same table throughout our stay plenty of room to manoeuvre a mobility scooter the food was excellent always hot very varied menu and the wide choice of drinks from the bar prices were very good . Everything is done by your credit or debit card and you get an itemised bill at the end of your stay there’s even daily newspapers for sale. You could preorder a afternoon tea so to sum up definitely worth a visit and central for seaside places ie Yarmouth Southwold well done also to the entertainment excellent

We have been customers at Warner Hotels for the lads 16 years staying at 8 differebt locations, some several times. During this time we had built up to a gold concierge card which should give 10% discount on purchaces during our stay. The first thing we were told on arriving at Bodelwyddan Castle Hotel was that Warners had been taken over and the concierge club no longer existed and we would have to join club Warner and start again. This was very dissaponting and a preview of the rest of the stay, which did not meet the standards that we always have had in the past. We have stayed at this hotel before and we could see how things had deteriated. The beautiful grounds are really in need of attention everywhere is overgrown. We were told that a new garden manager was needed. I think a few more gardeners are required. The food was of poor quality and usually luke warm and served by untrained young staff. Our room 109 was quite nice but with a large tree outside the window was very dark. The lights had to be on all day. The entertainer on the Friday night was an Elvis impersonater and was excellent. The entertainment manager was good but the rest of the entertainment was not so good. Overall we enjoyed our first break since Covid but were dissaponted with the new Warners and will think carefully before we book again. Pamela Bailey

We have stayed at various Warner Hotels over 24 years. We have often had 2 (or 3) holidays a year. Have recommended to family & friends... but our recent visit to Thoresby (13-17th Sept) has disappointed us immensely. Everyone is aware of the staff shortages caused by Covid restrictions; we tried to be understanding but are afraid Waiters let you down. On our first two nights we were not asked if we'd like to order drinks and once we'd ordered our food the waiter never asked - and catching their eye was impossible. (We then ordered drinks before the food and that solved that problem!) The food was ok, sometimes delicious, but frequently cold due to slow service. One evening we were patiently waiting for dessert when a waiter delivered us a starter!! On leaving the dining room we usually go to the Pavilion bar/theatre to have drinks before the entertainment. The bar didn't open until 8pm, with just one server for first hour. Any 'decent' entertainment didn't start until 10pm. That's a long wait when you've dined at 6.30 and ready for fun at 7.15pm!! We already have a booking for next June at Corton but will possibly have a break from Warners until life gets back to better reality. Also SO SAD to see the comfy sofas and armchairs taken from Great Hall- it just looks like a cafe now.

4 day break at Holm Lacey was really enjoyable - made more so by the entertainment staff. The evening entertainment was excellent on all three nights of our stay. (4 ladies of pension age - however very young at heart) We joined in quizzes, line dancing, tai che, etc etc. Couldn’t have been bettered. The rooms were spotlessly clean, & well decorated. One small addition to the bathroom would be another handrail at the end of the bath making exit less insecure & worrisome. Our only complaint is the food & drinks issue in the restaurants. Warner’s management seem not to have adjusted to the new normal that is Covid restrictions. The buffet style eating has been replaced by what can only be described as a poor replacement. The restaurant management have not directed their staff to deal with even where their table numbers are - resulting in lukewarm or cold food placed before you. Not what we as your paying customers expect from a Warner’s Leisure hotel. Here’s hoping this will improve massively for our next planned visit or I regret to say, Warner’s will lose their loyal often returning clients.

The staff were always helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel and grounds were beautiful Only thing spoilt the stay was bathroom smelt foisty when we mentioned to receptionist it was deep cleaned but after couple days smell came back. The extractor fan was on more or less constantly during night and the noise kept us awake. We did tell receptionists but didn't help.

Just been to studley castle where we have stayed twice before , disappointed with the meals as not such a great choice as before, room was lovely on 3rd floor with balcony but balcony had not been cleaned and was full of cobwebs and spiders, we also had to wait for our desserts in the evenings waiter had not put in order , I did like the buffet style breakfast but table service for evening meals , we had a genesis tribute band on Saturday night which were fantastic and I'm sorry to say last night the warners team were entertaining us well they were trying as non of them could sing and they sounded awgul alot of guests including us left the room

Booked our first Warner break at Nidd Hall for friends & ourselves. Booking process easy and subsequent 5 night stay at Nidd Hall was excellent. A terrific place. However prior to our break Warners requested that we pre book our meals which I thought was a good idea as this would enable us to set meal times that fitted in with our trips out etc. Problems then arose as their system only allows you to pre book one set of meals and not that for our friends; which meant that I had to repeat the same details thereafter; which might not seem a problem, until you find that Nidd Hall have two separate eating areas. Then add 5 breakfast times & locations, then 5 evening meal times & locations. It was like a completing a Chinese algorithm! {No such issue when I booked the original stay!} After pre booking Warners sent me a confirmation e-mail confirming all meal times/locations stating that if it became necessary to change a meal time, this could only be done via a drop down link on their e-mail; which they said would be dealt with within 72 hours. All ok until due to a daytime outing it became necessary to change one evening meal time. Not a problem I thought, silly me! Used the drop down link to request change, sent the e-mail and received automated reply saying that request would be dealt with and that I would be contacted within the next 72 hours. However no response; so sent second e-mail, still no response, so sent third e-mail and yep, you guessed - NO RESPONSE. Then tried telephoning Warners & Nidd Hall but all calls met with automated recordings stating that too busy, try again. This went on for days until eventually & miraculously a human answered at Warners. They informed me that as our trip was now imminent they were unable to make any changes; but that they would get Nidd Hall to call me to deal with the issue. Yep, Guess what......NO CALL. As I've stated previously, easy booking process but contact thereafter TERRIBLE.
