Really nice location. We particularly liked the tent pitches on the riverbank, the nice shower block and the pool. Quite a big site, but never felt too generic due to the range and layout. Biggest criticism was the Inn complex itself - menu and decor were uninspiring but ok.

Really enjoyed our family stay in Marsh View Spa. Very peaceful and relaxing. Lodge and hot tub great. Wildlife beautiful. Good food at the Waveney Inn and pleasant, helpfull staff. Hired a boat for the day which was a lovely day out however had quite a bit of dog hair on it but didn't spoil our day. Hired kayaks for an afternoon at a very reasonable price. Would go again.

Possibly my favourite campsite. Great location, helpful staff, nice pitches and no organised music in the evenings.

Fabulous return visit. Will be back. The site is very well run. All you need on site. Staff great and very helpful. Lodge and hot tub spotless. Pub busy but if you're patient the food is worth the wait. Great views from veranda of pub and lodge. Thank you again

We Stayed in the Aft cabin. Although it was clean the room it was sooooo hot and uncomfortable. We opened the windows only to find that we backed onto the rubbish bins which made a horrible smell in our room. The ladies were very attentive and did make sure that a fan was put in our room but to be honest it didn’t do a lot. Overall I don’t think I would return but I will say your staff on reception was so friendly and attentive as best as they could be.

We had a great time and enjoyed our break with you, but have a couple of grumbles - We understand the Covid precautions but the amount of crockery and cutlery available was the bare minimum (no egg cups, just 2 cups, 2 spoons etc) was a nuisance, which also prevented major cooking and meant repetitive washing up, we never used the dishwasher. Also in the Earsham lodge area there is a persistent smell of sewage, which spoilt our sitting outside, I would like to know what the open brick vent is adjacent to the lodge? Am I the only person to mention this? I would not put a bad review on line, so thanks for this opportunity to review, I look forward to your response. Regards Dawn.

Very nice site. All facilities were clean and working. Cleaned throughout day! Pitch wasn't as big as advertised, but other than that really good. Would go back certainly.

Quiet, clean site. Appreciated the signs and social distancing measures in place. We used the boat from the centre and made our way to Carlton Marshes on bikes which I would NOT recommend!! It was very uneven and not suitable for bikes. We spoke to our neighbours on the site who also tackled the route with a child carrier on the back of one of the bikes. They ended up walking with the bikes due to the uneven path. It may be advisable to put up a notice to advise other people of this. Although Covid restrictions prevented leaflets being given out, maybe consider laminating some leaflets and bike routes (which could be wiped clean) We would have been happy to purchase these.

The accomodation is lovely with beautiful views. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and made good use of the hot tub. The food at the Waveney Inn was nice, however, pricey for what you get. Wondering if prices have had to increase due to Covid 19. We will be back

Aft cabin was meant to be a bit of luxury for a few days away. The room looked very nice on entry it was when sleeping it became apparent how poor it was. The sound coming from other rooms made it feel like the walls were made from very thin paper. Constant sound of humming from an external aircon unit. My son was up all night. Such a shame and spoilt what was meant to be a treat. Really dissapointed. Real shame as site was nice and enjoyed our breakfast.

Our stay at Waveney River Centre was really good. However when you are paying the same as a 5 star hotel in London, for the stay (in excess of £330 per night), you therefore expect things to be perfect and unfortunately a few minor niggles took the shine off the stay. A few examples: The vegetation around the property needed attention, as a result there were brambles and stinging nettles encroaching onto the terrace area making parts of it difficult to use. In addition due to the height of the vegetation along the property it blocked the view from the hot tub to a small 2 foot section instead of having a full panoramic view, which was really disappointing as this was one of the key features we were looking forward to for our stay. There was a lack of anywhere to hang a towel in the en-suite bathroom, a simple hook on the back of the door would suffice. Some of the blinds in the property were filthy, and hadn’t been cleaned for a considerable time meaning you got covered in dust when operating them. Finally, we fully understood the reason for the reduced inventory in the kitchen but limiting the plates to only four made catering for a family very difficult. An additional 4 side plates would have assisted enormously. A lack of any Printed instructions about the property is understandable in the current situation but access to an online / digital pack would assist guests. I hope these points can be considered to improve the enjoyment for future guests

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. Especially liked our pitch next to the water. Staff were ensuring that all amenities were regularly cleaned and site generally was well maintained. Would like to stay again, hopefully when the pool is open. We really enjoyed our day trip out on the water. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Brilliant place, very friendly staff, too facilities and really good infection control procedures in place since reopening. If you like quiet river cruise and walks it’s the perfect location. We’ve been twice in the last two months and we definitely coming back with motorhome or boat.

Lovely location good facilities for campers. Showers and toilets cleaned very regularly. Only drawback was access along a single track road - we damaged our camper van when we were forced up on an uneven verge in order to let another vehicle pass.
