Good: Wide range of facilities including indoor swimming pool Not so good: Pitches are compact with no spare room around even our small VW camper and awning. Budleia hedging surrounding pitches is good for wildlife but takes a metre of space from the pitch and may also encourage some of the flying insects that proliferated during our stay. Access roads around the site are very tight. We saw a number of cars hit decking to the front of yurts as they were unable to turn in the space available. The four miles of almost single track road approaching the site (advised of on the website) could also cause some challenges for those towing caravans as there are few passing places.

A lovely setting but needs a refurb of the facilities-showers and toilets.Small jobs such as loose tiles and broken locks are easily rectified but have been neglected. I do not agree that people who are in the lodges get exclusive use of the pool after 5pm as this creates a discriminatory environment where caravanners are not treated equally. We found the staff to be very friendly and enjoyed the food at the pub. To attract caravanners who are used to a high standard of washing facilities please take note on the points made. However we enjoyed our stay as it was our first trip to Norfolk which was impressive.

Lovely site with great food and friendly staff ! Unfortunately, the most noisy and rude campers I have ever come across ! And no security or warden to ask people to keep the noise down. It seems talking at the top of your voice and kids shouting at 06.30 is fine for some. But not for us. This needs to be addressed because it means we will not be returning.

Centre good facilities that kept our grandsons happy, fishing boating. Lodge was OK but overall could do with some TLC especially shower room and kitchen.

stayed at The Farmhouse. Was disappointed with the cleanliness as there were many cobwebs and dust together with items left by previous guests under the settee and also the beds. The oven was very dirty and greasy used it and clouds of fumes came out after heating when opening door. As for the flushing of the toilets this was awful as cisterns took so long to refill.

Lovely site especially with young kids. Excellent playground and lovely to be able to hire a river boat for an afternoon. We were in two lodges , both v similar. Both very spacious - much bigger than expected and well equipped. Comfy beds. Lovely bed linen. Clean inside but we were disappointed with the state of the decking and outside furniture. The decks need a good power wash and the furniture was dirty. When we opened windows (had to due to weather ) the inside frames of all were filthy. The pub/restaurant on site is good value. Overall, 3/5 as site is lovely, staff friendly and helpful, but the decks , outside space and outside furniture of our lodges let it down. We should have raised it during our stay but decided not to for personal reasons.

Farmhouse was spacious and clean with super comfortable beds however it lacked lots of basic items including the following; ironing board, shelves in freezer, plastic crockery, washing line, a big enough kitchen bin, baking trays, serving dishes and two dressing table stools. The downstairs shower did not work and the freezer did not freeze and a bedroom window jammed closed. These three things were addressed by Waveney river centre. The pub food was mediocre and the reception staff were not the friendliest. The staff at the boat hire were friendly and informative. The pool area was lovely and the children in our group loved the play area.

We really enjoyed out time at WRC but the lodge was a bit tired and needed updating. The fridge door had a broken tray, the cooking facilities (plates, utensils) were poor. The staff at reception were adequate but not really that bothered. I just got the impression that no one really cared about the place or our time there.

We visited the centre at the height of the season when it was under pressure. The staff were pleasant, relaxed, and accommodated our slightly complex needs without difficulty. However, there was evidence that general maintenance of the site was poor and with a low level of daily maintenance of the facilities..

Lovely place, beautiful views, pub is nice and food is good, staff lovely and attentive here. We didn’t camp so can’t xommebg on the facilities however they looked lovely and clean from the outside and a lovely park which our 5 year old enjoyed. Penthouse could do with a little spruce up as seemed a little tired and certainly would not be happy if I payed full price however clean and had what we needed. A particular staff member could do with a little reminder that they are in the hospitality sector and that people are there on holiday so surely they need to act polite, pretend that they are happy to be there (even though they may not be) and make an effort to ensure the customers have a wonderful time! Also the wasps are quite a nuisance, I understand that at this time of year they may be troublesome however you couldn’t sit outside as you would get invaded by wasps and with two small children I really didn’t want to risk them getting stung!

We thought the site was nicely enough set out. Garden areas need a bit sorted out... if you're going to have potted plants... keep them alive or chuck them out. The Jacuzzi in the pool is so scaldingly hot it's uncomfortable. I'd get that checked out. We were given a time to be out of the pool... We were the only 2 in... not really necessary is it. The bar area needs a good bit of work. The tall outdoor seats are wobbly and dangerous to sit on. Broken glass balistrade area is unsightly. Food is basic pub grub and on Sunday we were told the chips were running out at 5pm. Staff seemed over a bit busy and not chatty to holiday makers. I think the £100 deposit is over the top for a camping site but maybe we aren't your normal clientele. The shop staff on Sunday were rude when asked if any bread... the answer ... I don't know??? Not much use. A mixed stay made better by good weather.

We had booked our meal for 8 p.m. and got it at 9.20.p.m.on Friday night. There was no hot water on Saturday night and the Inn staff did get someone to look at it but it was not really acceptable next morning, did not stay up on Saturday to see if the immersion had worked. The extractor fan in the room was covered in thick dust.

I booked last minute wanting a luxury get away. Whilst the surrounding areas are beautiful and there is peace and tranquility, the lodge which was marketed as luxurious was run down and there was a lot of damage which meant it looked tired and run down. The hot tub was lovely and relaxing. The swimming pool was basic and the cafe/games area was very run down and old. We enjoyed two meals in The Waveney Inn. Good food and reasonably priced. The shop was reasonably priced too. For the price I wouldn't return as I believe there are better 5 star sites available. Overall a good break but my expectations of the site were not met.

We enjoyed our stay at the Waveney River Centre however we would have appreciated better communication about arrivals and access to facilities. Upon arrival the reception was closed and we received information from the pub but we weren't pointed out checkout time or code for the toilets which was confusing.

nice place but the inn should serve food before 6pm . This is a family place surely. Farmhouse could do with a deep clean and there was a wasps nest in the garden. overall good stay but a few minor issues.

Staff were friendly. However, the bed was awful, like sleeping on a hard wooden board!

Bedding and towels fresh and clean. I had to clean the surfaces, windowsills and drawers due to dust and dog hair when we arrived. Also piles of dog hair left on the corners of the floor in the kitchen and living area. Shower and ensuite bathroom needs updating, lots of dust and hair again in the corners of the room. Mould in the shower. A pair of socks found in the drawer of the main bedroom. Tvs worked intermittently.
