Friendly staff, lovely room. Enjoyed our meals in the pub restaurant. Really needed 2 key fobs instead of 1, especially as they also operate the lighting on the room. Will happily return.

Lovely location and facilities, clean showers and everything you could hope for except - and this is a minor observation - perhaps open the restaurant an hour earlier for coffee?

Lovely peaceful setting, friendly and helpful staff. The lodge was a little dated, but clean. The apple juice and shortbread was a nice touch.

Very friendly, quiet site. The Waveney Inn was great as I needed to order GFO and they sounded like they knew what they were doing (which isn't always the case when you say you are a coeliac). When food arrived was delicious and very affordable too.

Beautiful location and facilities were ok. Was disappointed that we couldn't check in until 4pm on day of arrival. Pub wasn't serving food and Swimming pool was closed on day of arrival. Hot tub was cleaned when we arrived which meant it couldn't be used until 6pm. Was surprised when we saw that we had to check out by 9.30am when the check in start time is normally 4pm. Lodge was nice but furniture looked tired. Was disappointed when we looked to hire bikes but was told that this was no longer available. This could have been removed from the brochure. The Waveney River Centre has the opportunity to offer a stunning UK holiday if it was a bit more customer focused.

The place is quite difficult to find but once we were there it was fantastic. The food was brilliant and the staff were so helpful. The yurt we stayed in was spacious and tidy. We will definitely be coming back to stay for longer next time.

Extremely disappointed that the pool was out of order on the day of our arrival particularly as that was the main reason for selecting the venue for a one night break with a view to relaxing after a busy period culminating with our daughter's wedding on the previous Saturday. We had only looked at venues with a pool and chose this one as it said we could use the pool if we arrived before our check in time etc.

Lovely place, great on site pub. Very isolated but was nice still. may not suit everyone. It will be great once the site is totally complete after repairs and new modifications etc.

A beautiful setting, a wonderful lodge with a fantastic hot tub and great food and service at the pub/restaurant. We can’t wait to go back. Our children loved the pool, play park and secret garden. We just wish we’d have had more time to hire a boat or used the ferry service but there’s always next time. Highly recommended.

Our second wonderful stay and as relaxing as we hoped it would be, we even stayed an extra night, just a shame we had to get up early Monday to get back for work!! Thank you.

We stayed in Burgh Staithe Spa Unit for 10 people which was very nice. It was however let down by a low level of maintenance to the outside areas. The chairs and tables and all the underside of the balcony above were covered in old cobwebs which would be easily removed and it was a shame it was lime this not to mention the grass needs cutting. There was also no BBQ facility which is a great shame for a holiday unit of this nature where it is to be expected that guests would want to BBQ during their stay. The cooker was very slow and also the noise from the WC fans from both within the unit and from the Penthouses above was very bad.

People were using under water cameras and video cameras in the swimming pool. I found this to be highly inappropriate and it completely ruined the experience as the people in question were filing everyone and also under the water. The Waveney Inn said on its website it opens at 8am for breakfast on Sunday and it was still not open at 8.30am so we gave up. The yurt was very nice but upon lighting the log burner it filled with smoke as there was a hole in the flue at the base due to rusting

Just back from 3 nights in our caravan. Really liked the location but the site just seemed to be lacking the care and up keep. We had some nice days but unfortunately the whole holiday was ruined by deciding to eat at the “Waveney inn” service is dreadful and staff seem to have no idea how to run a restaurant at all. We placed our order the first meal arrived in around 10 minutes unfortunately the rest then came in dribs and drabs and taking 25 minutes to get all the food! When a member of our party complained and returned to the table I then went to the bar to ask for cutlery to find the staff laughing and joking about it. Very poor and disappointing. We were told there was no manager there to talk to and really didn’t seem like they care at all! unfortunately this seems to be the talk around the campsite and one of the first things people seem to be saying to each other was what a shame it’s a beautiful spot but just not what we expected. Just a real shame.

Very well kept, nice sized family holiday break. Really nice facilities, and a great little swimming pool, nice play area for the children. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely be booking to go back again :)
