I have just arranged my second mortgage with Shane & Phil of Which? Mortgage Advisors & the service was again excellent! I would 100% recommend them. This time, the cheapest/most suitable mortgage for us was one that they would not have earned a commission from, however I choose the second option, as I like this service & happy to pay for it.

We are so delighted with the advice and efficient service we received from Which? mortgage advisors and would not hesitate to recommend the service to others. Susannah White and Naresh Singh-Rathore were absolute stars and worked unbelievably hard at a time when a change in government legislation meant that the whole property buying process was up against an impenetrable deadline. Their knowledge and helpfulness despite what must have been a very stressful time in the property buying industry was second to none. They always returned my calls and emails and kept us informed throughout. The broker fee was very reasonable and the service well worth it, thank you.

Generally a helpful service which concluded in a satisfactory bridging loan. There were aspect of the process that could have been more throughly explained and /or made reference to, such as additional lenders solicitors fees and (to quote my solicitor) 'totally unnecessary' search and evidence checks made by the lenders solicitors.

Not a positive experience. Which managed to secure a reasonable mortgage deal for me but there was a catalogue of errors and mistakes along the way which just added to the already stressful experience of buying my first home. £500 for service of that standard is a joke. And Which are supposed to be specialists in consumer advice and customer service? Need to take a look at their own services before assessing others. Will not be recommending this service to friends & family

Quick and painless process, where the experts at Which listened to my specific needs, then identified the best mortgage to suit me. All carried out by phone and e-mail with the odd document to sign, posted for my convenience. No going into town to someone's office, a very convenient procedure which delivered a good result.

Considering my age (65), I was looking to remortgage a buy to let , found it very difficult to get a lender. Contacted Shabber Ahmad at Which Mortgage, found a lender, and from then on the procedure went smoothly. The service is very good as you get regular contacts to see that everything is going well. I would recommend Which Mortgages.

I have now used Which mortgage advisors twice and can't speak highly enough of everyone I have dealt with. They are professional and knowledgeable and I didn't have any problems when trying to get in touch. Would definitely recommend.

Spoke to an advisor for about 40 minites, she was really nice and I made an appointment to speak to her the following week during my lunchbreak at work. I booked a meeting room so I could answer all the DPA questions in quiet, waited 15 minutes and she didn't call. Quite unhappy as i'd informed her of the urgency, I called Which? again to try and get hold of this lady only to be told she wasn't available. Started speaking to the man who answered but this meant I had to start right from the beginning. He kept missing important things. His tone was really bored the whole time. The advisor kept saying 'you don't need to know that' when I was asking him what the interest rate was he said 'Between 4-5%', I askes; yes, but what exactly is the percentage and are there fees with Natwest?, 'You don't need to know that right now' was his answer. I hung up. I decided to give one last try and called back and spoke to a third advisor who was very helpful but I only had 10 minutes of my lunch left. He said he'd send me the mortgage breakdown by the end of the day for me to look over and then he'd give me a ring back. 3 days later it arrived via email; no call back from Adam. Would definitely not recommend. If this is how they can treat you before they take your money off you, how will they treat you when you've paid the £250 application fee??

We are very pleased having chosen the mortgage advice service from WHICH. It has been a great asset throughout the entire process. The service standards are excellent at every level regardless of the representatives we have interacted with. They are very knowledgeable and make things easy for someone without experience like us. We were always informed of progress and felt well look after. Their mortgage arrangements are set very clear, giving peace of mind that they work for their customer’s best interest. It is a very recommendable service, in deed.

Having gone through a lengthy and frustrating process with my bank for buying a second home, I took the advice of my colleagues and went through a broker, finding Which? online. I received a personal, efficient service, with a better rate than my bank was offering and am now the delighted owner of a second home. The people i spoke to at Which? were very helpful and responsive, they gave good professional advice to whatever questions I asked. i am already recommending Which? to colleagues struggling with remortgaging with their banks. You'll probably save the fee and more by the lower rates you'll get and the hassle relief is well worth the fee in itself. Thank you.

We are very pleased with the service we received. We were kept updated all the time, our calls were always answered and we knew what was happening at all times. I've already recommended Which Mortgage Advisers to my collegues and hope they will be just as happy as we were with the service provided. Special thanks to Peter Matthews and Rebecca Evans.

We went with Which due to their reputation but have been sorely disappointed. We had a Help to Buy mortgage but we noticed that there was no mention of this in the mortgage offer document. We bought this to Which's attention and asked if there are any additional forms for the help to buy side that needed filling as the Help To Buy site suggested there were. They advised us that all was in hand, no documents needed to be filled and our solicitors and Nationwide were aware that this was a Help to Buy mortgage so the mortgage offer was correct. This was not the case and we almost lost our house and became homeless because of their mistake. The mortgage was delayed by 4 months and we ended up having to escalate to MD level in order to gain any appropriate level of service. The stress and extra fees this caused are nothing in comparison to the fact that it triggered stress induced alopecia leading to hair loss and eventually having to purchase a wig. We are currently discussing compensation with the company but they continuously avoid addressing this very upsetting and important fact. They have shown no humility nor apologised for this disastrous consequences of their misconduct. Avoid Which mortgage advisors unless you would like to be misinformed, loose your hair and have to perform the role of a mortgage advisor yourself despite paying them for this service.

Unbelievable bad customer service. You will be calling and calling 'Which' to get every part of the process completed. It would have been less stressful to go direct to the bank. Plus I'm 250 pounds down. Not sure how they carry the which brand.

Poor value for money. The service at the very beginning looked very promising, but in the end I paid £400 to secure a mortgage with a high street lender, something I would have been better off doing myself. When issues arose, i.e. timescales associated with the survey, I ended up calling the surveyors personally to deal with the problem. When I asked for support from Which? the response was to all intents and purposes "we've done our bit." Communication throughout the process particularly at the end was disjointed. I had to remind each Which? employee involved in the process that I was an existing Which? member. I am a strong advocate for the Which? 'supplier/product review' service, but as for their Mortgage Adviser offering, I strongly advise against investing in this service.
