Total shambles from beginning. No end in sight. Communication non existent. They take your money then they treat you appalling. We saved so hard for a new bathroom and looks like it won’t happen. DO NOT USE THEM

Having a horrible time with your installer; rang customer services a dozen times to be told "an area manager will call you back". Still nothing. Now the installer hasn't turned up when they were supposed to, and we are left with pets in boarding, an entire bathroom stacked in our living room, and no idea what will happen next.

Ordered over 5k of materials from Wickes to build my garden office. They say they will inform you when it will be delivered but don't and it just randomly turns up. I ordered a door and window 19th May which the website stated was in stock and it still has not arrived. After being constantly lied to by Wickes, given delivery dates which I waited in for I got fed up and spoke to the supplier myself. The supplier doesn't even have the materials to build the door and window. Be careful of items on the website that state "in stock" because there more than likely not in stock, I have had trouble with multiple items. I have called Wickes multiple times and have an email chain with their support which is now 40+ emails. I have called head office and had employees being rude to me, promising me things that aren't true and never getting back to me as they promised. I also brought a rubber roof kit that has bubbled up which is clearly faulty. So far I am thousands out of pocket for all of this and Wickes have done nothing to help. Please just be careful when ordering items from this company because if you have an issue there is no hope of being able to speak to anyone that will help or even be interested in resolving your issue. Don't believe anything it says on the website about items being in stock and double check on the phone before ordering. Wickes your customer service is very poor and I am at the point where I am seeking legal advice against you. I don't want any of this you have literally made my life hell over the past two months.

I had my doubts about who to go to to have my bathroom fitted by as I had a history of bad workmanship with other companies so decided to give these a try. I wish I had never bothered my bathroom didn't turn out as I thought and the team of fitters were hopeless kept coming and doing a bit of work then moving on to another job elsewhere, I had originally asked the instore designer to please give me a good team of fitters, turned out to be second class workmanship, worse decision I ever made and a waste of nearly £6,000 of my savings, Please do not use this company!!

Well started great chose kitchen and agreed price all good, however very disappointed in fitting service as once they had surveyed and agreed price kept adding extra's on eg £75 to drill one hole for extract vent ( unbelievable but what can you do). After completion was happy overall but then one drawer developed a fault, now the pain begins despite calling customer services for a period of 6 months approx 15 calls and being assured it would be rectified and either the lnstaller or customer service would contact me not on one occasion did this happen, every time I asked to speak to a installation manager I was fobbed off with there all in a meeting, and bearing in mind we went to Wickes and paid £12,000 because of the customer service and back up offered, we're totally disappointed and fed up. It's now come to the point where because of the stress caused and hours on the phone we've given up and resigned to the fact we're going to have to live with it. Another disappointing fact you cannot contact customer services or complaints by email, I hope this helps others and advise that you clearly clarify what's included in fitting and what backup you've got should things go wrong. I would certainly not be recommending Wickes again.

Please don't go to wickes, unless you want an 8 month wait, we had our bathroom designed, picked and paid for, 3 months later we still hadn't had a surveyor round. Our designer stopped working there and they never even told us. Nobody phoned for 3 months, I sent emails which bounced back, eventually customer service got the regional manager involved, but that still didn't make any difference. The surveyor eventually phoned last week after 3 and 1/2 months and told us he couldn't start the fit until October, we were told in March it would be 12 weeks. We should have our new bathroom by now. We decided not to wait any longer as there customer service is non existent, so we asked for a full refund. We have the full amount back, but that's not the point, we have wasted 3 months on nothing, now we have to start the process of choosing and finding an installer again. Very disappointed. If I could give 0 stars I would.

This review is regarding the bathroom design and installation service in Croydon. My job was completed in January 2022. I WILL NEVER USE WICKES AGAIN. The installation included a Triton shower over the bath. The first shower unit was delivered with a fault. The main shower head wasn't working. The second unit worked until April 2022. The water stopped coming out when the unit was switched on. Wickes sent their fitter out to inspect who confirmed the unit is dead. I want the shower replaced. I don't want a repair, especially as this is the second unit that is faulty. Wickes refuses to grant this and have referred me to the manufacturer for a remedy. I have made countless phone calls and sent several emails including a formal complaint. However, Wickes will not budge on their insistence that it is up to the manufacturer. I believe this to be in breach of my consumer rights. I am now seeking a chargeback solution on my credit card. I will also be contacting the appropriate ombudsman to investigate as well as trading standards. I thought I would be safe with a well-known company. I was so wrong. Their is no coherent complaints procedure either.

Dont be taken in by the lovely Phil Spencer off the telly! Wickes customer service is shocking. I purchsed my dream kitchen in January ( circa 25k) and it is still not completed! ( its now mid June) we have no oven, microwave oven , extractor and three piecses of worktop are still missing! However, I should be pleased because last week we enjoyed running water in the kitchen again! Wickes do not respond when you email them to try and get answers. I used Wickes because like many people, I believed they could do a great job in a reasonable time, ( 6 months????) Would I reccomend them? Well not to a friend thats for sure! All I want is the kitchen to be completed and good communication between us. On several occasions I have had to book off work to be at home waiting fror their tradespeople or appliacnce's to arrive, only to be told, generally on the morning that "I'm sorry they are not coming today but dont worry we will re-book!" I am extremely frustrated, dissapointed and annoyed , not the kind of eperiance I was anticipating from a national brand! Phil, I would change your sponser before they drag you down to!!

Was not offered a receipt for a refunded item. No evidence no refund employee could quite easily pocket the cash. Store Stratford road Birmingham.

Very poor service from beginning to end with design, delivery and fittings of our new bathroom which only became apparent when installers arrived to start work. The design was flawed and all items delivered didn't fit. Installers had to source other items. A number of items weren't delivered. Basically we had to completely compromise in what we had actually wanted. Complaints procedure flawed, no responsibility taken, excuse after excuse, blaming everyone but themselves. Avoid this company at all costs. We have referred matter to the Ombudsman and await their decision.

Broused in wickes( chesterfield ), to get some needed bathroom installation work quotes. Customer services in design & installation , rudely pressurised me whilst quoting exorbitant costs for 1 tiny bathroom installation even before seeing it and do another . . A middle age woman and a bullish man were not interested in providing helpful customer care. Their attitude was the old American style high pressure selling. The man was loud and rude whilst the woman next to him seem to passively support by quoting exorbitant prices . I work to a budget and able to decide for myself which, what and where to spend my money without this kind of bullying. Your customer care , and support stings especially since I am a pensioner . It is not acceptable .

Made an order on line for roof shingles and was told it would be delivered on Thursday from 8am to 6pm. It never came. The next day I tried the customer service which is laughable. They could not help. I tried to call and after choosing the option for failed delivery I was told to go back online and the call ended. A day later I still have not got my delivery which is paid for. I cannot afford to buy the material again. My advice is do not use Wickes online service to buy anything. Go to Jewson or Travis Perkin they have their own delivery service and you can speak to someone on the phone unlike Wickes. I completed several contact forms no one called me back. I Cannot believe they are getting away with providing such a poor service. I lost my money by using Wickes online Don’t make the same mistake. I will never ever use them again. Their customer support is not existant. Once they have got your money they don’t care. I am now trying Consumer Program to highlight my experience with Wickes and to warn other potential customers. Which Magazine will be taking this up.

10:50 • Trustpilot I've recently had my onsuite done by Wickes. On the whole I'm pleased with the bathroom but not with the workmen. When I ordered the bathroom through Fareham branch with Emma I asked for a total with everything included. Emma pointed out that I would need to purchase the flooring and tiles nearer the time and that would be the EXTRA payout! Or so I thought. I had agreed with John a further £150 to rehang the door to open outwards, all good except all the hinge and door opener on the inside was left and not made good!!! I now have to get someone else in to do this as I'm nearly 69 and female and I haven't the ability to do it myself but for £150 you would think it would be done. I was also charged an extra £163 for finishing touch lol - I'm still waiting for electrical certificate for the cost of £95. I'll be going into Wickes today to speak to someone! Also John does Not reply to any of my messages. RUDE. I'll not use again. Fuming There was also a design fault as when the sink was installed I couldn't open the draws - the young lad said that he hadn't noticed but he must have done to fit the draws as they hit the rad on opening and were useless. They ended up having to move my radiator and saying they will bill Wickes otherwise they would have to remove the sink and draws and fit a smaller one. Hello. I’ve since been into Wickes to speak with Emma who has agreed that John should’ve have charged me for something he hadn’t done. But then she rang time to explain that the amount charged was for something else and that it was just a coincidence that it just happened to be the SAME price. At my time of life I don’t want or need any conflict so I’ve accepted that. But John charged £150 to rehang a door and NOTHING else. I’ll have to now get someone else in to finish the job. NOT HAPPY. DO NOT USE

I am currently starting a process to take Wickes to court over my horrendous bathroom installation and have my solicitors involved as any attempt to contact Wickes customer service is hopeless. Myself and my partner have contacted Wickes via Facebook, customer services via phone and email, and in shop multiple times over the course of three months after the installation was nearly completed (we had to stop the cowboy fitter as it was that bad). Nobody from Wickes customer services seems to be interested, we have however been promised a visit from an installations manager to review the standard of work and what items need replacing, but this was over two months ago. To put things into perspective, we now have to shower at our local gym or at our parents house as we have a gaping hole in our ceiling downstairs due to water leaking through. Our £800 bath has been damaged due to the cowboy fitter storing sharp tools inside throughout the installation, our damaged sink is not level and is also leaking and the general finish on the tiling, flooring, plastering and placement of spotlights are so so poor I don't know how the fitter, plasterer and electrician we had are in a job. We've had no electrical certificate for minor works, we've been left with live wires exposed in our loft which is a fire hazard. Every time we leave the house we have to turn the stop tap off in fear of having a burst water pipe and our home flooding because of the leak coming through our ceiling into our dining room. When speaking to Wickes about the leak, we told them that we didn't want the original installer back as we are in no way confident he can do his job, their solution was to offer us another installer which may become available in six months time. If we had a plumber come in to fix the leak, we would have to pay ourselves with no promise for reimbursement from Wickes and we would also be losing our bathroom warranty so we are left in limbo land. Since the install attempt, myself and my partner have also had advice from an independent bathroom installer who reviewed the standard of work and in a nutshell has said the bathroom needs to be ripped out and started again. Myself and my partner are fortunate enough we have only parted with £2,000 so far, that's the deposit and upfront installations costs or as Wickes call them "specialist works", the total price of the bathroom was a little over £8,000, we outright refuse to pay the rest and will be seeing Wickes in court to claim back not only our initial £2,000 payment but for the damage caused to other areas in our home and for the inconvenience and stress. Please AVOID Wickes at all costs, they're useless, uninterested and clearly have a flawed vetting service for their 3rd party contractors.
