Awful service from Wickes, ordered our kitchen only to have several doors damaged delivery was terrible as they stacked the units against the wall causing some items to bow. After several calls managed to get some units replaced, then came the real nightmare of the worktop, template was organised for one date so booked day off work for them not to turn up, Wickes said was an error so was rearranged. Worktop was installed less than an hour upon inspection found top in need of a clean, fitters said not to touch due to the silicon being wet and would be ruined if it was clean and leave for 24hours. Next day we cleaned the surface to find a circular mark and several marks on the worktop not what we was expecting so after several emails and phone calls and chasing the customer service team is a joke at first they said they would inspect the worktop for then change their mind and state there is no fault with the worktop and that they will not pursue with our claim?

Designers that measure your space wrong, fitters that can't fit and hack away at your worktop, customer services that are incompetent and do not deal with issues! If you want all this then shop at Wickes!! Good Luck if you do, I feel for you I really do!!! 😡

At first glance, we have a solid new kitchen, and in the early stages, staff were accommodating and friendly. However, our experience was marred by numerous frustrations and inconveniences, and we are thoroughly dissatisfied with their aftercare. From start to finish, it's been a hassle! The design had to be changed multiple times; they seemed keen to push us over budget and overlooked practicalities. The kitchen was delivered several days before workmen were due and relegated to the garden (and rain) - apparently they only deliver two days of the week. Our fitter was hardworking and knew his stuff, but he seemed to be in such a hurry he had half the units erected before everything old was removed - the brand new (white!) shelves were filthy and used as a workbench. He did clean up, but why risk damaging them in the first place? When the freezer didn't work, Wickes offered to send an engineer to fix it, and only replaced it when we argued we were paying for a new, working one! We were appalled to see that cupboards were mounted over large holes in the plaster work, and learn that's standard practice for Wickes - we had to beg the workmen to fill the more visible pitting. So whilst the kitchen now looks 'fine', we're the type of people that care about what's underneath and do not feel we received the full package we were paying for. Similarly, there are little issues that may not be a concern for others, including uneven tiling, broken light covers, partially concealed wiring, and chipped woodwork. We readily admitted these were small but their inability to solve minor requests (replacement covers and touch up paint) dragged on for so many months that our list of irritants grew longer and we became incensed. All of our complaints, we were eventually told, were within their "tolerance", but it's simply less than we expected of the so-called no.1 kitchen fitters. Seven months on, we still haven’t received items we were promised. I can only say it's a disappointingly far cry from the exemplary experience we had with Courts 12 years ago. To sum up, if you want fast and functional, or you're doing your house up to sell, they're certainly adequate. If you're looking for a quality finish and good customer care, think again. Had we been advised properly on some of the services they didn’t include, and their style of working, we would have looked elsewhere.

They do not answer the phone if you have a problem. I have received a damaged radiator, I just want to get it collected and a new one delivered. They just keep you hanging on the line whilst they push adverts, they don't even tell you at what position in queue you are... I've been waiting 20mins...

Kitchen worktop joint a crack has appeared on it, doors on cupboards dont feel secure, brass nobs are peeling, and induction hob smell like it’s burning underneath. After spending a lot of money at wickes I didn’t expect this twelve months on.

The kitchen design process seemed good and the quality of the product was good. However, the after sales service of wickes was appalling, I have also been left out of pocket following my designer's over specification of materials, and have been informed nothing can be returned and no refunds given - I asked for a designer to come in order to make the best use of the space with the least waste of both space and materials - I am not the expert it was not my mistake that I have ended up with more materials than necessary. Apparently it is in the paperwork that there are no refunds and the sales/designer would have told me this - well I can assure you he did not tell me this and in the paperwork I can find that bespoke and special orders cannot be refunded but it isn't bespoke and its a standard order seeing as the kitchens are not in stock to collect - so what is a customer expected to do? Also Wickes website gives information on how to return and get refunds on goods but when you phone they say no, phone the branch and they will decide and then they say no refunds. I am a panel short which the designer missed but am loath to spend more money when I have hundreds of pounds sat in my house still in packaging that I have no idea what I am supposed to do with. Been through to see the sales/designer today as apparently he is the person who i have to speak to. Apparently it will be his decision to refund me or not for his error with a tape measure ...... on his lunch when i got there and had disappeared off the face of the earth when I returned. Allegedly, because I have also complained on another review (trustpilot) a generic reply says my complaint has been passed on to the relevant people to investigate my complaint I'm not holding my breath but I will be going back to the store because I am not getting stuck with the cost of their designer's mistake. If you use Wickes designer please get another company to come and measure and compare the 2 to see how many extras have been added and check the refund policy.

45 days of order and payment, still waiting for the decking boards.... Wickes should be thankful I don't have an option of 0 or negative stars. To start with, I ordered decking boards and some timber on the 8th of April and received the timber in a couple of days' time, however I haven't got the privilege of having the decking boards yet!! I order, I pay, I get the items delivered, such a simple transaction has taken over one and a half month. Numerous emails to Wickes only gets me as far as 'a lead time of 28 working days'. Now I have lost all the calculation as whether it has been 28 working days or not!! Then I receive email from DX with a delivery date confirmed for 23/05/2019; 8am to 8 pm, so I leave all other tasks behind and wait for the delivery as the email clearly says ''Deliveries dates are unable to be reschedule''. At 3 pm today, I receive another email that says the delivery won't happen today!! Totally unacceptable... The timber has all been laid for the decking and this decking board seems to me like a fairy tale... Is there anyone who can actually help me get the decking boards that I've paid for??

Kitchen nightmare. Sold a kitchen on the basis, Wickes would do everything needed from design, to delivery and install. The kitchen, including install, cost £15k. The design and delivery were fine, but once the credit agreement was signed, it all went downhill and you are trapped. The installer did not start on the day he was due too. Installer ripped out the old kitchen weeks before the new one was being installed and left nothing, not even a kitchen sink. The old gas cooker was not capped off, leaving my children and I exposed to being gassed. The installer was appointed as per the design plans to take down a wall. The installer took down the wall but did not support the new opening leaving structural issues. To date still not resolved. Installer visited my home on two occasions for 1-hour max and then left for the day when the project could have been progressed. Installer failed to communicate what was being done and when. I therefore was not able to get other tradespeople in to do other work where needed (electrics, flooring, etc.). Made a complaint to Wickes, it was not taken seriously. Make another complaint to the store manager, and no callback so had to chase. Made another complaint to Install Manager and only two options provided which would set the kitchen install back by months. Overall I am surprised this firm can carry the strapline ' let's do it right' when all they want to do is take your money and mess you around. I am left with having to source a new kitchen fitter with no notice. Remedy poor works they had undertaken. Remove rubbish they left in my back garden from the rip out. Negotiate how I get some money back. DONT USE THIS COMPANY THEY DO NOT GIVE A s**t

They are a bunch of incompetent useless unhelpful morons. Terrible attitude from customer services and wasted £7k on a kitchen. The kitchen is of very poor quality for the price paid and delivery was a complete mess. Avoid them at all cost. Magnet and Ikea are a much better alternative.

Paid extra for allocated delivery slot 7am till 12, delivery does not arrive till after half 2, tried calling to find out when delivery will arrive but you only get a automated message telling you that your order will be with you shortly. Sent an email to Wickes customer service asking for a refund for delivery as it was over 2 hours late and I receive a rather abrupt response several days later suggesting I am a liar and that they have a tracking device that says it was delivered at 11.48am and that I signed for it. Obviously I fire an email straight back demanding I be reimbursed my delivery charge as this so called tracking device is a load of rubbish, and I also state that I will be taking this matter further as I did not sign for the delivery at all, so who ever did has committed fraud, They are just not wanting to refund anything, not even a small £5 delivery charge, even though I spent a fortune on flooring, tight gits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t even buy anything. They deliver a broken door and tell me that they will send another one tomorrow and collect it at the same time. The next day they come to collect it and obviously tell me that they taking the door but not giving me a new one. When I call them they say they didn’t update it on the system and I will get the door 3/4 days later. I had already booked a fitter and lost the deposit. I call them again and she leaves me on hold for 21 minutes or so and goes somewhere herself. They talk rudely she was raising her voice at me and when I asked for a refund they refused. Save you’re money and go to B&Q. I will never order with them again and neither will my family.

Wickes Extra Swansea. I had a voucher for a tin of Hammerite from the manufacturer, Akzonobel, due to a problem with a previous purchase of the product. Great customer service on the part of Akzonobel. Voucher could be used at any store stocking their products, in this case HAMMERITE. The voucher and instructions were quite clear to anyone who could read. A blue voucher to place in the till, by the vendor and a pink voucher to send to the address provided by Akzonobel on the voucher booklet both on the inside front page and the back inside page. Simple or not? 40 minutes in the store while various mangers were called and none knew what to do with the voucher, and then a further wait whilst another member of staff waited on the phone to ask customer services how to process the voucher as, " they had never seen one before"!! Absolutely disgraceful customer service with the attitude, I will pass this on to as many people as possible to make your life difficult so that you may just go away,BECAUSE....... I haven't a clue what to do. To top it, I was told that they did not have a stamp to authenticate the voucher that needed to be sent back to Akzonobel WHAT?!!!! I do not live local to this store so I wasted 2 hours of my time today on a fruitless and time consuming visit. Appalling lack of customer service and use of brain cells.

Do Not ever buy a kitchen from Wickes. They have got so many things wrong I would need a lot more space than here to tell you how bad they are. Their Design Consultant Duncan got the measurements wrong and tried to blame my daughter for not checking the order!. He claimed our fitter should be able to cut the freezer door cover to the correct size. Wickes supplied a freezer door cover 730mm in length to cover a freezer 900mm in length and they expect my daughter to pay for their error! It took the Store Manager to intervene before they understood they were wrong. The Flat is on the second floor and Wickes delivery men refuse to take the 3m worktops up the stairs as they are too heavy for 2 delivery men. I had to take them up myself with help from a maintenance man. Duncan changed the position of the sink. When questioned about this he reassured my daughter this was not a problem with waste water and electrics. When my fitter came to fitting the Kitchen he pointed out that the electrics run exactly where the proposed new sink would be located. Duncan and Wickes answer to this was we should rip out all the electrics to fit with their design! My fitter has come up with a better design but Wickes want us to pay an extra £292 which we should be grateful because it is heavily discounted. A trip to the Barking store to complain yielding nothing. They do not answer the phone and on a number of occasions they have not rang back when they promise they will. They have a 13 hour delivery slot and if you request a time to suit you within that they will ignore it as all deliveries are made to suit Wickes and as London is far away for them they could not deliver after 11 am. I have written a long letter of complaint and am still waiting for a response and to get the kitchen finished. They are also very good a quoting their terms and conditions when there is a problem. Never mention them when they take your money. Worst Company I have ever dealt with.

Very bad customer service. Sales assistant would not consider adding extra items to my delivery even though they came from same store. Delivery driver would not help me bring items into porch but said no they are in the bag which was in middle of street. They would have got stolen if I hadn't been able to ask a family member to help me lift them. Will definitely choose alternative DIY store even though wickes is just down my street.

We bought shaker style kitchen and all appliances from St Albans branch. Overall we had positive experience from the design to the delivery of items. We had our own installer which positively commented on the quality of the units. We had few missing items, but were replaced timely by customer service. We didn't have any issues with them. Our only negative experience was actually with the quoting. After we paid the deposit and signed the contract, we added one item and removed another from the original quote. However, the price of all other items went up few penny and pounds and overall we paid extra money which is equal to the price of the item we removed from the original quote. We contacted the store and reported this as breach of contract. They said they would investigate it. However haven't heard anything. We also signed the contract for 3 years, however it came as 2 years without our knowledge. Second point is, the ordering system automatically adds items that you don't need and you cannot get rid of them. In our case it added automatically some knobs which we didn't want. They said their price was removed from the quote, however when we sum things up, it was apparent that we paid for them. So our advice is, please read the quote and the contract carefully and make sure it doesn't include anything you don't want. Also check the price of each item when you revise the quote.
