Since they changed the store so that the majority of items have to be ordered from the catalogue it has made shopping at Wickes difficult. You have to go through the catalogue and find the item(s) then mark them on the order sheet & take to the counter. Someone will then fetch them. If you want to compare several items it is extremely frustrating for you and the staff. I find it easier to go to B&Q.

I rarely had such a bad customer experience and at every possible touch points : 1. Locating and accessing Wickes. Address and opening hours on Google maps really should specify that the Battersea store only does Kitchen & Bathroom. I had to take another cab to go to Wimbledon. Another client was in the same situation. 2. Shopping at Wickes Wimbledon store on a Sunday afternoon. Unless you are desperate to achieve your plans, and have time and a lot of patience, avoid this experience by all means. Until Chaze came to help, I received extremely poor service. The whole point of going to a store versus ordering online is to have advice and comments on products. This was simply not available. Someone from the reception desk went out for the shop floor to fetch someone who could help me. After 5 minutes waiting, he came back with an adviser who had first indicated to me he wasn't able to help. Later on, I asked again for help as the store was closing and I was getting really edgy to still be at the store with so little help and still needed to find one drill. One person refused to help because the "store was closed" (I had a whole bunch of materials on the trolley next to me). Thankfully, a couple of staff members were a bit savvier in terms of customer service, and thanks to them I was able to find what I needed. 3. Website. After coming home, I realised I didn't buy enough timber and the drill didn't come with drill bits. The website is as useless as most staff I met in the store. No info on drill bits sizes. 4. Telephone. I just called to know what size were the drill bits in the set advertised on the website. The customer service line didn't know and asked me (after I had waited for 5 minutes to have someone) to contact the store directly. I then contacted the store where a shop adviser put me on hold to go check the set directly. She was gone for quite some time so another sales assistant picked up the phone, unaware of my previous conversation, asking how they could help. After I indicated I was already taken care of, the line just cut. I called back (wondering why, really, at this stage!), and the lady I spoke to earlier said she couldn't find the set and would call me back once she got a chance to check the warehouse. I think this is the first time ever I write a review on a store. I'm actually quite flabbergasted but the poverty of this customer service. Hope the management will read that and sort it out. Current set up is designed to draw customers to competitors.

Wickes' online service is entirely unreliable. Wickes' doles out the order to a local shop and then if anything goes wrong - in my case they only delivered part of the order which was paid in full - they disavow any responsibility. They are very polite, but they insist it is down to the shop to whom they have forwarded the order to fulfill it. This is patently absurd. I have called, emailed and used Facebook, but they will take any action. My next step is to drive to the shop at hand and confront the manager. I know sites like this often reflect only bad experiences, but how else to express one's unhappiness? Do not order online from Wickes.

Terrible experience with kitchen from Wickes, ordered November 2015 only just fitted. Design all wrong for fitter to follow. Many phone calls made to resolve issues, fitter not replying or answering. Overall did good job still not properly finished, stupid mistake of paying money for installation, now not intrested once money received. Lots of other issues would avoid buying kitchen from Wickes, can they be trusted. More money to pay to an independent fitter to resolve issues and have the kitchen we wanted.

A friend asked me to look at this unit as he couldn't fathom it out. He had put it together as stated, but this unit is of such poor quality and to have a larder / oven housing made of such thin material (15mm) is very poor for the price (£95.) He couldn't return it as I suggested as he had scratched it badly. In the end I dismantled it and and purchased a thicker (18mm) board. I used the old unit sides as a template and surprise, surprise it was perfect. My advise is that if your going to have a kitchen of any type make sure you else where or at least go for 18mm minimum thickness for a more solid stable frame work

Ordered fence panels and 1 fence post as the existing post were good. Wickes delivered the fence panels on the day arranged but without the fence post. I phoned the store and I was assured that the post would be delivered by noon the next day. It was not delivered so I phoned the store again to speak to the manager to find out when the ost would be delivered but I was put on hold and after 15 minutes I hung up. I went on the website and cancelled the order and within a few minutes received an email for a refund on the post. I was lucky that I could reuse all of the existing fence posts. I will never order from wickes online again the service was terrible.

Went to the new Stowmarket store in Suffolk today, its been open about a month pay & collect what a joke, fill in card as required, take to till, girl put in numbers into computer but 4 sets of numbers were not in the computer system so she spent 25 min looking for items in the back of store and the couldn't fine 2 items so left with out them, when I got the invoice some items where totally different prices than shown in the book did get 15% discount for the wait but still cost a lot more than thought, good job I had not priced job beforehand. Used customer toilet what a mess, toilet filthy no hot water or hand soap the store had only been open 30 min whats wrong with the old fashioned way of putting items on shelves and customers picking the off 100, times quicker.

Absolutely shocking. Who in the right mind thought it would be a good idea to supply trolleys without baby seats and a click an collect service where you order on Lin to collect in an hour only to go down there to find out your order hadn't even been picked. The staffs manors are disgusting with no customer service skills and hardly any of them know anything about the products they sell or even if they have them in stock. Very disappointed with the company you should be ashamed. Do not shop at Wickes in Lincoln!!!!!

Absolutely appalling service. We made an order and were not at any point during ordering online made aware that our order would be split. Even on the invoice there is a section where it can note items coming separately, but there was nothing. It makes it look like all items are being delivered by Wickes themselves. On the morning of day of delivery I received two texts, one to say my order would be between 10am and 2pm, and another saying DX would be delivering, it still was not clear that the order was split, I thought perhaps Wickes notify you and tell their courier to notify you also. When the Wickes van turned up I went through my order, and enquired about the missing items, the courier told me they would be sent separately and that it would be today. Afterwards I rang customer services and asked when the second part would be delivered, and I was told to expect it any time up until 6pm, and that the driver 'at their discretion might or might not call'. Needless to say they didn't...and they didn't show up at all. I waited in all day, no knock at the door. So at 6:10pm I called Wickes customer services and I was told an attempt had been made by DX, this was a lie at least on the part of DX, but perhaps both like to bluff their way out of leaving people waiting. Because the woman on the phone said there was a photo of my property and asked if I have some small shrubs in the front garden. I said 'just send the photo because I don't believe you'. She wouldn't, and also couldn't give me any details from the alleged photo. She in fact said she could not see that much detail...how convenient. I waited in for several deliveries that day, and only DX did not turn up. The next day I had to take off work 'unpaid!' and the DX driver turned up around 2pm and was really rude, remarking on the problem being people ordering online. He also said many people don't bother to be in anyway, well I was in! He also knew nothing about an attempted delivery the day before. I am so appalled by both Wickes as they did not respond to my email complaint, and DX for providing the worst service and customer care known to man! We will neither use Wickes or DX for as long as we live. Oh and if you want to sort things out now because I have put my review on here...too little too late mate! B&Q here come.

My daughter had a kitchen designed and fitted by Wickes. The units were short and the attitude of the Manager who delivered them was appalling. The fitter made such a mess and then whined when he was told he would not get his full pay. My daughter is still waiting for Wickes to explain why a plinth heater will not fit and why their contractor broke the original. Next stop the County Court.

I really cannot believe that a 'national' DIY store can sell wood of such an appalling quality. Task 1 - find a piece of wood that is not warped? Task 2 - find a piece that is not so full of knots that is usable? Task 3 - not lose the will to live before you give up in despair, sorting through a load of fire wood before you kick yourself for not ordering the product from a proper wood yard (at less cost) - but then it was a Sunday and you wanted to get the job done for Monday!

Thanks for wasting my time---twice ( I run my own business and time is definitely money) .. Went to buy toilet and cistern - after showing customer your catalogue and taking them to local branch - they chose one off display and I took em home - when job was due to start I went down to fetch the gear required only to be told " we don't stock that one anymore" I pointed out it was on display in store and also in book but was informed it was no longer available and the display model ( complete with price ect) was also not for sale ??? Back to square one with customer and half day wasted ! A month later took another customer to pick some new Taps for suite I'd purchased ( very nice display by the way ) all looked so good it took ages for them to choose - and yes you've guessed it ...."end of line ! We don't sell them anymore " !! And just to really take the Micky the toilet was still on display Just a suggestion but if you want to sell items from your very professionally displayed stores, it could well be a good marketing policy to actually keep the displays up to date with what you sell ! Thanks again for the wasted time - my customer eventually got her second choice on both items from b&q

Looked at your website to see about bath panels to replace at my mother-in-laws saw that as it's the bank holiday you have a sale. I thought excellent get a bargain and keep the mother-in -law happy. The experience was awful got up early arrived asked for help the lady on the till was the only one working. She did put a call for assistance and it would be 5 minutes. In that time she was more worried making sure the burger van outside had their changes splitting £50 notes for builders to buy their breakfast at the burger van. The male assistant who turned up to help me pulling a trolley of goods told me to go and see the guy in the bathroom show room. He told me any bath panel that I needed would take 4 weeks to get. I mentioned the ones on the website he said not his area he did take me to see them which was kind of him and said these are them and the size you need you will have to cut down. I looked at them I do not have the experience and knowledge so I left and a woman who hasn't had her breakfast as most men know is grumpy. That is why I am writing this review I have never experienced service so poor before and that it what is good in this day and age as consumers we can take our business else where and Wickes 's loss will be another companies gain

Absolute nightmare! AVOID! You have made my bathroom refurbishment a bit of a nightmare. Firstly, I have paid extra for Saturday delivery - only 70% of the items ordered arrived on Saturday, of which Bathtub front panel came broken and bath tub was missed off. That is not the end, as the builder started tiling one pack of the wall tiles were discovered broken - luckily he could utilize them. John - Twickenham Hub manager - tried to rectify some of the above issues - he brought a bath tub in his own car on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, bath tub had a hole on the side. He promised a Monday delivery, which took place. I have spent about 2 days chasing up a front panel for the bath tub - been to 3 different stores after checking the stock - Hanworth, Twickenham and as far as Slough. None of these stores had a P-shape bath tub front panel which was clean, not scratched nor broken! This is ridiculous - why are you stocking a bath tub and have no front panels for it? Or why these panels are such a poor design that break so easily? Every single member of the staff at your stores has complained about these panels. Finally, I needed 2 single floor tiles to finish off the bathroom floor, so I went to Hanworth store to find out that single tile price was £5.99, while the whole pack of 7 tiles was £12.80. Joke! Quality of the wall tiles is another issue - scratched, pattern washed out. In addition to the above. I have spent about 3 hours in total on the phone to your customer services regarding the issues. I could not get heater - tower rail delivered nor even a rough estimate on its availability, so had to cancel and source it elsewhere. Same with the soft close toilet seat. Both refunded and bought elsewhere. Problems, problems... Has all of the above "Got your name on it"? And now a cherry on top of it: After contacting Wickes customer services with all of the above - I had to ask for an update, as nobody was keen to reply. After that I got an apology and an offer of £20 worth of voucher!!! After about £1700 spent. This an insult. AVOID !!!

Wish I'd seen this site before ordering my kitchen! What a terrible experience The whole process has been very stressful for 2 months! Dealing with the staff-sales agent in Folkestone was a very unpleasant experience from the Store manager to the sales representatives. Where is the attention to detail and customer service? Horrible treatment, bad communication. They never put themselves on the customer shoe, unacceptable. I will be happy to share my disappointment with a higher manager than the store manager. Feel free to contact me I will defiantly not be recommending Wickes to anyone-what a fiasco
