“SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE beyond belief!”

“What horrible customer service!!! I will be one of hundreds to leave a horrible review about Wickes and it's customer service! Made an order online as product was available to collect in store and had already requested to take the day off on Tuesday to pick up from Blackheath store but at 7PM the next day was called by a unprofessional kid with no customer service skills at all saying the closest store I could pick up the product was Chatham over 30 miles away!!! Or to order again for home delivery £25 for a £30 product. What a joke!”

“They failed to deliver 5 days in a row, claiming the items were lost between themselves and their carrier DX. I eventually cancelled as they just didn't have a clue what to do. Their call centre appears to be staffed by people with very poor diction, although they are quite well intentioned.”

“Had problem with my bathroom cabinet as the gloss coating on front has bubbled and come away from edges, phoned local Colchester branch, left hanging for 20 mins then phoned back and told to ring customer after care. Contacted aftercare and promised they would phone manufacturer and get straight back, never did so phoned again couldn't get same guy so this other guy promised same thing never got back, chased him several times with no response, Now fed up as a simple yes or no they can or can't help me would have done. This went on all week when I asked to speak to a manager all were in meetings, of coarse they were! Couldn't get the last guy I spoke to so this new guy Arron said he would ring manufacturers and get straight back, to give him his due, he did with the fact they couldn't help me as out of guarantee, apparently the kitchens have 10year and the bathroom cabinets only two, although made by same company in same factory using same materials, why could they not have been honest in the first place? Nothing but a big old runaround. I will never use this company again, their loss!!”

“Unprofessional, error strewn and shabby service. Delivery of garden item did not occur as planned nor on a second promised date. Order cancelled but they can't confirm ehen i'll be refuned - so not only a shambles in customer service they are holding onto my cash!! Recommend you steer clear of wickes unless you like being treated like this”

“I ordered 3 kitchen items for delivery to store in Hinckley to add to an existing installation... 2 doors and an oven housing. They initially arrived after 2 and a half weeks. But it took a further 4 weeks before all issues were resolved. One of the doors was replaced 4 times. Oven housing replaced once. Oven filler panel replaced twice.. Every time due to damage from manufacturer or courier. Customer service was OK... But the quality of product is very very poor. Was promised a call from store manager today but not received...”

“Item 605mm under cabinet strip light 14w T5 £15.99 pros easy to fit, good lighting effect cons only one complaint, the mains connection supplied is an extremely loose fit and requires additional securing (with tape?) to retain in position.”

“I have never been so disgusted at there customer relations treat and speak to people. I have had an problem with Wickes regarding some paint. After 3 months still not resolved. Spoke to a Rowena Corrinton today, apparently a manager, well she has no people skills, people like her don't deserve a job. Rowena rates herself far to high, got the impression she was playing to an audience. Never complain over phone always by email, because Rowena did say that calls are not recorded. They should be, so small people like her in her place. I did get help last week from a lovely guy called Mark Brumpton, who was really efficient, but unfortunately he's gone on his holidays. No problem is still not resolved. I don't even want to have any dealing with Rowena again. I think she needs to be put in her place. Hopefully she and Rebecca Pinnock are the only two that are so poor st there jobs.”

“Will never use them again!!! Ordered a radiator that takes ‘Up To 5 Working Days for Delivery’ and by the 6th day we still had no radiator. Rang at 9am on the 6th day asking where the radiator was and was informed that there had been an IT issue and that I would get a phone call straight back… 3 hours later still heard nothing, so rang again… Was informed that the order has definitely gone to the supplier, I asked when and was told it was 9:15am that very same morning! I asked when would I get delivery and was told up to 5 working days as this is their suppliers schedule… ‘I ordered the radiator off YOUR website where it states 5 working days on YOUR receipt after I paid YOU and YOU are taking no responsibility for this!!’… I had a plumber coming to install it the next day and the floor had been taken up in preparation… The response was obviously pure boredom and lack of caring ‘it’s the suppliers 5 working days’… No customer service at all!!!”
