Once more a poor meal. Roast chicken, medium sized. Cooked this in the oven, warmed thoroughly beforehand (checked by oven thermometer). At recommended 40 minutes vegetables swimming in water, potatoes not cooked. Another 10 minutes possibly improved the potatoes but not a lot. Very small piece of chicken in ultra-thin gravy. I counted the sprouts easily - just seven but so small they could be used as ear dots. I wonder if their current TV advertising is of value. The pity is that delivery is prompt, friendly and accurate. However, Customer Service on the phone is a total misnomer. Deflective, fails to resolve anything. Sorry, I'm out. Much better meals at a fraction of the price in supermarkets

This is the third time I have placed an order for food for a friend for Christmas and each time there has been a problem which, regardless of the food itself, has left a bad taste in the mouth! On the first occasion my credit card was not only used for the order I placed but I was then charged for orders my friend made at a later date. My credit card details should not have been retained to be used a second time and I believe this amounted to fraud. More recently I paid for some meals for my friend and the price was deducted from the order he had placed resulting in him having to pay for the meals I had bought when they were delivered. Again, what sort of accounting system do they have that permits this sort of error. BEWARE when placing an order for someone else. The Manager says this sort of problem only happens once or twice a year but it shouldn't happen at all. It takes the joy out of buying meals for someone as a gift and also for the person receiving said meals.

I have tried hard to find something good to say about my first Oder of Wiltshire Foods. I ordered the slightly more expensive meals, by your Chefs? The main meals were edible but vegetables not satisfactory. I continue with a Coq au Vin. This was truly terrible so I rang your office and suggests your Chef get a copy of Delia. I used to cook this meal regularly and the family really enjoyed. However, I was told you mean “It is not up to your standards”. I certainly did not mean just me, so I have now cooked the last meal a Lasagna to eat . In fact I could not eat for my lunch and doubt whether my friend’s dog would allow her dog to eat either. I ended up with a jam sandwich. I am 91 and have been an administrator at a local hospital. We would never have given this quality of meals, to our elderly patients Sadly I cannot leave the apartment so have to order by telephone or On Line. In future I will return to M & S so far they have all been very satisfactory. If Charlie Bingham can provide a decent meal with all your years of practice it should not be a problem. I truly regret having to send this e-mail, the delivery service was efficient And your office staff polite and helpful. I write with sincere disappointment. Yours faithfully, Jean Beagley there should not be a problem.

I'm writing the same review as I have submitted to another reviews website in the hopes that WFF will start to go back to making the meals like they used to. I've been a customer of Wiltshire Farm Foods for a number of years now and seen the quality of the meals go downhill. I had accepted the 'perks' customers had that gradually disappeared (did they really think we wouldn't notice?); was probably down to inflation etc. However, when you think these type of meals are aimed at elderly and disabled people, the nutritional content and a lack of variety for vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian is not good. As a Pescatarian, trying to purchase a good variety of the meals that are not high in saturated fat and/or sugar is a task all by itself. There are plenty of cheese dishes but that's no good for those of us who want to keep saturated fat down. Furthermore unfortunately, many of the dishes do not cook evenly; in particular ones with potatoes which tend to always be underdone compared to say the peas in the meal that end up overdone. I have on a few occasions given feedback to my local branch about this but it still happens. Nobody wants to have to take the potatoes off the meal seperately and cook them for a longer period of time before adding back to the rest of the meal which in turn has to be gently heated again up to temperature after going cold. I was told a lot of the meals are aimed at those in their late 70s onwards where they like traditional meals. That doesn't mean though they have teeth of iron to eat through the meals; nor should they have little choice of meals due to high saturated fat. When WF get it right it is super, there are a few meals like the ones with salmon in that are lovely. But due to the price hikes which are getting comparable to high end supermarkets and take outs, my orders have become less and less. The staff have been great but because of the amount of meals that have been underdone (I know they are partially cooked already), if I rang to constructively complain every time I had a 'hard' meal, they would think I am doing it deliberately for a refund. That I don't want, I would just like evenly cooked healthy meals, is that too much to ask for?

Grandmother isn’t fond on these meals but loves the dessert. Can we also talk about the fact that they tend to give you a delivery time between 11am-1pm? They don’t keep within the time at all, always an excuse for something. Expecting a 3hr delay at the moment. Definitely will go elsewhere.

My mother (who is elderly) gets these meals delivered. The brochures look amazing, so last night I decided to have a break from cooking and I heated up a medium-sized Irish stew. I was very disappointed with a few tiny bits of meat, the bulk of the meal being cheap veg. The only positives were the flavour of the stew was reasonably nice and the meat was tender and easy to chew. In my opinion, the protein and fat content of the meal wasn't adequate enough to be nutritious. I think the meals are very expensive for what you get.

The meals are too expensive for what you get! The mash is cheap to make but you only get a tablespoon of it and as for the beef it’s like playing hunt the thimble and when you do it’s chewy and the vegetables are watery ! The best meals are the soups and puddings are ok

I am in the US and wanted to send gift vouchers to a friend in Norfolk. It was quick and easy to order online. There was a delivery snafu (not Wiltshire’s fault) and when I alerted Wiltshires they quickly re-issued the vouchers with no hassle at all. My friend enjoyed the meals she was able to get from Wiltshires. Highly recommend.

Poor customer service - took 2 payments for meals - one after they were delivered because they ‘ forgot to charge ‘ - difficult to resolve - account cancelled - if you use this company keep an eye on your payments

You dont have to spend a fortune, approx £20 before you order. Another company charges £40 per order. Both are giving value for money & lovely meals but sometimes people can't always afford the higher value at one time.

Really bad customer service they took two payments for one order. I have contacted them several times but passed from pillar to post. Worst thing is a lot of elderly vulnerable people use this company and wouldn't notice or question bank statements. An absolute disgusting company taking advantage off customers.
