Last week I took a day off for Argos to deliver our mattress. They arrived then said they would not bring it up stairs with only 2 men (who had managed to bring it all the way to our ). We re arranged, I took another day off. Sat in all day and rang them at 6pm as no one had contacted me all day. They then told us our mattress was sold out. They could have told me this but let me sit in all day waiting. I will never give them a penny for anything ever again.

Was told it would take 5 weeks to deliver the product then a few days before the delivery I had a message left to say They could no longer deliver the item. No apology. I cancelled and was promised a refund. 5 weeks later I check my statement and no refund received. Called up and they said they would try and get someone from finance to call me the following day but very busy so could not promise. I asked to speak to a Manager and they refused to talk to me as they were very busy. They promised to call me but never did. I eventually got my money a week later after a few further phone calls. I will NEVER shop with Argos again as this is the second issue but I guess I should not have given them a second chance. Their customer service is a joke.

I thought Argos was a trustworthy brand - it is always being advertised as this great Company that excels in what they do - but after the past two days of dealing with them, I have completely changed my mind and I really regret ever trying to purchase anything from them. I wanted to purchase two furniture sets from them and, despite the fact that many of the options I liked were out of stock for delivery at my address, I decided on one of the available sets anyway. I added two of the same set to my basket and tried to proceed to checkout. At the checkout page I imputed the coupon code advertised on the website for an extra 20% off full price and then I tried to book a delivery slot - here is when the first bug on their website showed. Everytime I would try and book the delivery it would give an error code and make me redo everything. This continued to happen for approximately 5 or 6 times before I could move past the delivery slot booking. Next came the payment options. I decided that, for my convenience I was going to apply for a Buy Now, Pay Later on a 12 month term. I selected this option read the T&C's, agreed to their terms and I was told that I was eligible for the offer. So I completed another form with all my details and, as soon as I clicked sign agreement, an unexpected error occoured and rendered void a good 20 minutes of my life. I didn't give up though, I tried a further 5-6 times to apply again but to no avail - The same technical issue kept coming up on the screen. At the point I decided that I would phone them but the lady on the phone said she could not help me as my 20% off voucher could not be applied unless I made the purchase of the goods online. At that point I decided to just pay with my card, since there was no other way to go about the purchase. But again, It took me about 6-7 tries to finally make the amount go throught...my card was charged and I waited for the order conirmation to appear on the screen...but nothing. On the landing page I was informed somthing went wrong with their system again. I checked my card balance though and the amount had gone off my account already. I phoned the bank to double check if the transaction was pending or if it had gone through and it had gone through. I then called Argos to try and find out what I could do to get my order since the money was paid to them and the whole issue was caused by their system's bugs. The lady on the phone replied by saying she could do nothing for me and that I must just wait 48hours and then call them back. At that point I asked her if I could speak to a supervisor who could maybe assist further and she refused saying she is not allowed to let me speak to the supervisor and that they can't offer any sorts of help. I tried explaining to her that it's unfair that they would refuse to help when my funds went through and there was no fault on my part and she said that I am being difficult and that I must just wait. So I asked again if i could speak to a supervisor given that they have my funds and she is refusing to help me in any way and she started saying she doesn't tolerate people speaking to her like that and informed me she was going to hang up on me. And she did hang up. I was quite shocked to say the least, so I tried live chatting to someone to see if they could help me and they just refused to offer me any help and they hang up the live chat on me when I insisted to get assistance for my problem. So here I am now with my funds gone hence unable to place an order for the furniture I need urgently, and unsure on how to get my funds back since no one at Argos was willing to help me in any way. I know at times it happens that someone isn't having a good day and they are unwilling to help customers or at least speak to them in a professional manner, but here it's every adviser you speak to behaving that way. I am utterly shocked and saddened with the experience I have had with Argos and I would not recommend them to anyone, not if this is the level of customer care they have.

bought GTech cleaner it says on Argos website"suitable for all surfaces" Does't work on carpet that has deep pile. Argos in Leighton buzzard was unbelievably rude the manger took the machine to her warehouse to test used it on her carpet then came back after 20mins and us asking several staff what was happening she said it works she would not return it as it was used. When we asked for a number to complaint we where told wrong number. All Sunday we tryed to regiter a complaint and each time it was lost by their customer care team. Promises of call backs never happened. shame on argos. Your manager needs training in customer care too. When we left the shop we could see all staff laughing. When we arrived they were all together arguing who would serve us.

Beware when buying stuff with gift vouchers from Argos. Things might go south if you need to return the item. Called their CS multiple times. Returned an item 3 weeks ago still trying to get my refund back. Their finance dept don't function.

I ordered a home delivery which was not made on the date stated had to follow up as no information given eventually when delivered which was four days late my Denby sets were broken. Emailed, phoned many times but no-one came back to me to take responsibility for my complaint. Eventually travelled 40 miles twice to get my order sorted out. Extremely poor service

I bought a rabbit hutch for a rabbit that I was needing to rehome from a rescue centre the same evening. I got the hutch home and it was broken. I called customer service and ended up being fobbed off by a snotty patronising idiot in the call centre who simply would't help. He just told me to return it even though I did a 48 mile round trip to fetch it. I asked him where I was going to put the animal who's welfare I was responsible for and he replied with that's my choice. Considering the hutch was just shy of £100 I was expecting better service and more help but I expected too much. Won't be using Argos again as it's generally a bad place to shop anyway due to other experiences I've had.

Argos failed to collect my old fidget. They dumped the new one and forced my wife to sign and run away. I rang argos to complaint but unfortunately they were useless and told me that the money has been refunded. What kind of service?

They insist on selling their toys in a way that makes it really hard for parents to buy from them . Eg for rescue bots they sell a product that can have up to 15 variations under the same code . There is no way to get the actual one that your kids want . Argos is purely the den of kids disappointment and they should either fix it to help customers or stop selling the stuff
