Travelled 80 miles to collect item ordered online. When got home discovered given wrong item. Tried, phoning, online chat, emails- all to no avail. Appalling service. Simply put, I would like the item I ordered at no extra expense to myself.I was given the wrong item.

I ordered a two single beds, mattresses to my home address, the drivers (two drivers) turned up to drop the beds off, I politely ask if they could take the beds upstairs for me. They explained that they couldn't do this because of Corvid - 19! I am absolutely disappointed and discusted by this. If its your policy to enter my house, tell me you can't take these bulky items upstairs but can enter my house, not wearing any masks and tell me they couldn't just take it up stairs, then this is so unacceptable and unprofessional by your company and from your drivers. Do you Not state on your Web site this statement : "Your order will be delivered to your doorstep in a safe and sensible location, and large items will be taken to your room of choice where it’s safe to do so." Well, our house is completely safe, I have had both corvid vaccines and I also take extra care and attention in relation to corvid -19. This isn't the same policy that your company and especially your drivers have. If your company and your drivers were so concerned about Corvid - 19, even though the government rules have changed, explain why your drivers can drop my items in my hall way (without maks) but NOT take the items upstairs. Surely, if your staff were so concerned about getting corvid from upstairs then the same concerns are still evident in my hallway but they were NOT concerned about entering my home!!! Has a company, it looks like you are NOT adhering to you own policy ("Your order will be delivered to your doorstep in a safe and sensible location, and large items will be taken to your room of choice where it’s safe to do so.") Surely, you have breached your contract with me especially when it states your above statement above!!!! If your drivers thought I might have corvid in an empty bedroom, then surely would this Not be the case in my hallway??? Thanks to this poor service I received, I will now have to pay someone to take the items upstairs for me! Please respond to this email as a matter of urgency!!!!

Beware of purchasing items online and collecting. I was told yesterday that as I paid online but did not have the item delivered I could not be offered any assistance with the product fault through the online support line. I would need to take the item back to the shop and explain to them the fault. I asked to speak to a supervisor as the problem could easily be addressed online and the item is heavy and was not available for delivery which is why I had to pick it up from the shop which I should add was not local to me but the customer care woman refused and said a manager would not take the call as against policy. Hope this is helpful to anyone thinking of purchasing an item from Argos just in case it has a fault. I will be returning the item and washing my hands of this dreadful company.

AVOID ARGOS if there is any likelihood of you needing to return an item if FAULTY. The Lancaster store insists they only offer credit notes to be used in Argos for faulty returns. This I refuse as I will never shop in Argos again. I am sure Argos is operating outside the law as it is contrary to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 which states "Goods should be of a satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described" My purchase was clearly faulty and confirmed by Flymo and their Service center. On the phone, Argos says You can return for a refund to the method you made the purchase, but in-store they deny it and offer a credit note. Over a week ago I returned the item, have made at lease 7 phone calls, and written by Royal Mail Signed For service. NO RESPONSE. NO REFUND. So ignore the Refund question below NO FLYMO It's a nightmare dealing with Argos. I wish I'd looked at the Trustpilot reviews and see they have 85% as BAD, only one ⭐ Not even worth one! GO elsewhere and forget the convenience of being in Sainsbury's

Excellent customer service should anything go wrong. Their extended warrantee is certainly worth the money. May be able to purchase items at a lower cost but this piece of mind is worth the little extra.

Desperately needed a fridge, they had exactly what I needed and offered next day delivery for no extra cost. Hard to find such a wide range of products this level of service anywhere else.

Ordered several Tu items of footwear for my three-year old through Argos click and collect at Sainsbury. I had to return a few of these back to Argos via the same store. My refund never arrived. I had to spend close to one hour on the live chat to attempt to get back the money rightfully owed to me. And even then when the refund eventually came through it was short of £12. I then had to attempt live chat again, which because of the appalling system just kept getting rejected. I persisted and one hour later I have been told I will get my owing £12 – time is to tell on that. At no point was there an apology for the inconvenience. If you don’t mind wasting hours of your life trying to claim back refunds, then go ahead and shop with this store. I certainly won’t shop with them again

Your delivery service is disgraceful. I was told to expect a delivery between 2-6pm on a Wednesday, it did not arrive. After spending endless time trying to speak to someone I was told that I would receive my order the next day, an AM appointment. I was also told that I would be messaged with a 2 hour slot time for delivery. I heard nothing by 11 am so I telephoned and was told it was on the van for manual delivery !!!- what other kind is there? By 3.45pm I still had not received it, I had to telephone again and was told that it had not gone through the system and it was best if they refunded me and I ordered again! They must be joking utterly disgraceful I won't be buying from Argos again.

TLDR : Argos will only refund in Argos vouchers if payment is made with a Flexicash card - against the refund policy on their own website, and more importantly the Consumer rights act 2015 sec 20. This is a warning to anyone wanting to pay with anything but cash at Argos. Ordered a watch as a gift online, for store pickup. Paid with £20 Nectar points, and £149.99 on a flexicash card. My son said the face was too large for his wrist, so we took the watch back to the same store it was picked up at (Oldham Elk Mill). This is only 48 hours after pickup. The staff member behind the jewelry counter inspected the watch, said it was all ok to be returned, and asked to see our receipt - at which point he said he could only refund us in Argos vouchers. As we hardly ever use Argos anymore I asked to speak to a manager, wanting our refund to be in the same format that we used for payment. The first manager (or supervisor - not sure which) just repeated what we were already told, and then called the store manager (Helen) over after I again politely refused. The store manager didn't listen to what I was saying, and stated that we could either take the watch or the Argos vouchers and started to walk away... After being ignored I had few options left and so I got the attention of other shoppers in the store and started to explain what was happening only then did Helen return, this time listening to my stance that I required the refund to be in the same format as I had paid. According to Helen (manager) it was company policy AND Flexicash policy, to refund with vouchers ONLY, when a Flexicard was used for payment (which was at no point made clear to us before payment was made), and that the cards website would say the same thing. (None of this is true) Eventually we were given some stapled together Love2shop vouchers to the value of the Flexicash payment, and an Argos voucher for the Nectar points. I suffer from severe Anxiety and at this point just wanted to get out of the store. At least love2shop can be used elsewhere than Argos. Far from what we wanted but better than giving our money to Argos. As we were leaving Helen said it was a shame that it wasn't a smaller purchase or she could have given us cash as a refund!!!! (we should have bought 20 small items and refunded them all if this is the case! - again we just wanted to leave so carried on walking). - we left the store still unhappy, and will not be looking at Argos for any major purchases for the foreseeable future. During our hour and a half trying to get a refund, the staff member behind the counter told us that there are always problems with Flexicash - that this happens all the time when people want refunds. *The Flexicash website states that Argos refunds are to in line with Argos' policy nothing is mentioned here about refund for store vouchers (Helen was adamant this was the case). ** Argos' own website states that 'Refunds will be processed by the original payment method'. Again nothing is mentioned about Flexicash being refunded with store vouchers. ***The Consumer Rights act 2015 section 20, subsections 9,10,11,12 state that a consumer should receive a refund in the same format that payment is made. This supercedes any company policy. I have screenshots of Flexicash website, Argos website, and the consumer rights act to show the above is true. I welcome any input from Argos with regards to the above.

Collected an item for return and refund. No refund given and they deny picking it up they say the collection was cancelled. I was there when it was collected from my house. They refuse to tell me who cancelled the collection, it was definitely taken by them from my property. They expect me to go to my bank to dispute the payment. They take your money and keep the item, total rip off. Never buy from this company unless you want to be out of pocket.

Awful company do not buy off them. Ordered a bed and mattress they processed the payment but not the order. Then you can’t get your money back for 5 days. You try to speak to someone and it’s all robots. The customer complaints say there is nothing they can do. Please buy off local companies who actually care about customers. I will never buy off these people again.

Bought a Challenge Tower fan heater / cooler in Feb for my home office room. Used maybe three or four times in the cold weather than not used. Until last week (only 4 months after purchase) when I used it due to the hot weather. It worked for a couple of days then it stopped oscillating and kept on clicking like it was trying to oscillate. I went over to look at it and the top fell away from the base. I took it back to Argos Worcester Blackpole with my e-receipt and they refused to refund, repair or exchange. They claimed it was not faulty manufacturing and claimed without any evidence that I had broken it myself. It was pointed out to me that the single peice of internal plastic which holds the top to the base was broken and therefore I was responsibe. No amount of discussion would change their mind. I will never buy challenge again and I will avoid Argos in future as their returns policy is open to their own interpretation and gatekeeping and they accept no responsibility for faults and worse - blame the customer for causing the fault. Really shoddy customer service and a breach of consumer regulations.
