“ASDA customer service (Astley Bridge Bolton) and complaine handling is not very friendly and to a degree vicious. My family experienced that some of the managers as staff are very rude beyound believes, to the extend that my family will not shop there anymore! Of course we will talk about our experiences to friends and family!”
“Good staff, just the heart of the manager Stuart harness is big and he cannot steal any costomer ,but he he will not forgive the punishment of a year ,but the forgive him.thaks I requested u”
“I have mostly used Asda for online shopping no more, absolutely useless in fulfilling orders no matter what time delivery slot is I thought they were open 24hrs. I gave them benefit of ordering again out of order for £90+ only £70+ was delivered. I’m afraid I shall use Tesco or Sainsbury’s in future. Need to get sorted Asda or maybe you are making “Brexit” you excuse?”
“I Order a total of 33 items and I'm missing 10 what is a lot, for this experience I'm never going to go back for shopping to Asda because this is absolutely unacceptable, I can understand some missing items but items like lemon, tomatoes, oranges, chicken or bananas unavailable is absolutely ridiculous, plus you have to pay for delivery. It's a bad joke”
“Many times ordering same item as regular buyer ASDA online, every fortnight. For some reason everytime the order always ended up with substitute no matter how early or late when placing order along the weekdays. It was like they do not have monitor stock on time and decided to update the last minute when going through pickings. There was a time where unavailable item came in stock and afterwards of ordering it, in a few days to delivery they substitute the item which again out of stock. (Mostly from ASDA value poultry)
This is supposed to be supermarket chain, don't expect any quality and standard of selected products, items that they picked are either near by date for meats or fresh organic will often look to be poorly.
Only thing is if your item gets damaged, they'll give you free samples and no apologies unless you call out on it.
Perhaps it is best to go out and shop in local stores instead. On the last note, choose other company for less hassle and less queues so they don't charge you 3-4 pounds when ordering on the weekend.”
“I have used Asda for home delivery for years and apart from the odd blip it’s been a pretty good service. That’s until November 2018. Since then there has been problems. The first was an order due between 8-10. The estimated arrival time was 2 am. They would not deliver the next day and I couldn’t wait up so I had to cancel. They offered £2 off my next delivery cost as compensation. The next time there were a lot of missing items. Today an order arrived. Lovely person delivering as usual. Of a 50 item order 25 were not available. This was on top of the items that had already come up as out of stock before I placed the order. Not good at all. The money was put straight back into my account but I will now have to pay for a delivery from somewhere else.”
“Shop every week at asda always buy 2 packs of strawberry and white chocolate muffins noticed the prices have been creeping up but thats ok everything is. When i went in this week i couldnt see them one of the assistants pointed them out to me theyre in different packaging he told me everyone was complaining about them as they were smaller but the price had gone down to a £1 he also pointed out that the dates were longer on them. Well weve just tried them very disappointing theyre now "sticky" definately not as nice as the others what is the point in changing a recipe to save a few pence bring back the old ones. Also i bought some packs of chicken stew and dumplings which i but every week also in new packaging havent tried those yet just hoping they havent changed too!!”
“Only two tills open. Long queues at each open till. Used self scan in the end unfortunately no one there if a query flagged up on scanning. Very poor service.”
“I recently did an on line shop, i wanted a carpet cleaner but was substituted a fabric freshener which does not do the same thing, that was annoying but what annoyed me more was a 40p charge for carrier bags when i had only one, the rest of my order was in crates which i had to empty and stack on the stairs, this has happened a few times, apart from that my order was okay and the delivery man was friendly and polite.”
“Online shipping fools customers. Bought a pair of shoes for my son to put when school resumes and asda assured that we can collect at store on Sunday 6 Jan. They sent email late evening to collect on Monday. No new shoes for the child as expected :(”
“I like asda, i really do an will probably use them again. I am however disappointed with my ecperience today at Asda in Wakefield. Asda was busy, fine, its Christmas and that was to be expected. We arrived and there were no trolleys, they were all waiting to be brought back from the carkpark. Shopping was fine, then the fun started. Getting out of the carpark was ridiculous, it was rammed and noone would let anyone else out. Where were the staff, where were managerment in the situation. Its great having the extra custom but what about customer service in the carparks.”
“I've just received my home delivery order half hour ahead of schedule. I received the text message 10 minutes after the driver left saying they were running ahead of schedule! My housemate works night's so whenever I order online shopping I generally tend to be as quiet as possible when taking in said delivery. The driver was quite abrupt with him and really wasn't very helpful, other supermarkets offer to take the bags out of the baskets and drop them just inside the hallway. I chose not to accept substitutions as generally they can be quite poor, but I find it hard to believe that toilet roll can be out of stock! Plus other general items that I'd ordered which weren't particularly specialist! I haven't used asda home delivery for some years and now I know why, the service is generally slap dash and a little rude and abrupt. I won't be using asda again.”
“After submitting and paid for order online, invoice shows paid for 10 bags, as a stauch recycler, called customer service, told there's an option to click NO to bags, as default is YES, illegal in any financial transaction anyway!
Then during pickup, had to key in 10 digit order number AND your FULL date of birth on an upright hugh monitor in full view of everyone else in the queue behind! should be popular to "certain" customers!
Complete order is kept in several lockers and you must access lockers according to the sequence given, once doors locked, it won't open again, plus doors are annoyingly self closing. Therefore imagine, you're outside in natural elements albeit an overhead shelter, trying to keep the locker door open with your body, no table about, trying to empty your shopping into your own bag/s, take the full bag/s to your car boot then moving onto the next locker!!! If you forget the next locker number, you've got to go back to the monitor screen!
On the other hand, imagine if you're waiting for someone in front of you following the above charade to empty their shopping from the various lockers as the monitor screen can only process ONE customer at a time!
As others in the queue is waiting, all watching you perform your charade, you wouldn't dare checking your shopping items to your invoice during pick up, so on returning home, on checking, realised one egg broken, one tube of vitamin C missing and instead of haddock, I was given white fish! Yes, the monitor did provide you the option to return unwanted, presumably substituted items, but as you're not able to check during pick up, that option is nullified.
So I called customer service again, admit she was cordial and agreed to refund all concerned items, however I was told that my account will now be "checked from time to time" ????? Whats this all about?
I was again told, there is an option to click NO to substitution, as again default is YES, which again is illegal in a transaction which is paid for in advance anyway. On both these options (carrier bags and substitution) I failed to notice both these options during check out.
Overall a good idea for those who like me despise shopping thus the two stars, but certainly needs improving e.g. why not a PIN instead of having to key in a 10 digit order number AND date of birth for each pick up as it would be easier to remember and speeds up the queue at the monitor. Otherwise, it would definately be a deterrent for the matured, badly sighted and the vain plus the holdup in the queue waiting to access the monitor defeats of the benefits as it's now a Click and Memory keyboard test, juggling door whilst empty contents AND navigate between car and locker feat ..”
“Ordered George curtains, 1st lot went missing, made a 12 ml wasted trip, to be told lost in transit. Difficult time with hard to comprehend customer service staff. Ordered again, this time arrived after a few days. Collected from Asda Queensferry waited 10 mins at unmanned desk. Have since read a few reviews, oh dear!!!”
