I had high expectations when I decided to participate in an auction on CATIWIKI but unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of abysmal. Catiwiki The website's user interface is astonishingly outdated and clunky for a platform that deals in high-end, luxury watches. Navigating through the listings feels like an ordeal, with pages taking forever to load and filters that either don’t work properly or are so limited that they might as well not exist. It's baffling that a site dealing with items worth tens of thousands of dollars can't manage a decent, modern browsing experience. Questionable Bidding Practices The bidding process itself raises a lot of red flags. I witnessed several instances where bids jumped in suspiciously large increments, making me wonder if there are shill bidders or if the site is artificially inflating prices. Transparency is key in auctions, but this site seems to operate with an unsettling opacity that makes it difficult to trust the process. *Lack of Proper Authentication** You would think that a luxury watch auction site would take authentication seriously, but that’s clearly not the case here. The descriptions provided are often vague and sometimes outright misleading. On top of that, they seem to rely too heavily on third-party authenticators who have no real accountability, accessibility to the items they are valuating leaving buyers in the dark about the true provenance of the watches they are bidding on. **Poor Customer Service** If you’re unlucky enough to encounter an issue (which, trust me, you will), don’t expect any help from customer service. Their response time is slow, and when they do get back to you, their answers are generic and unhelpful. They seem more interested in closing the ticket than actually resolving your issue. For a site dealing with luxury items, this level of customer service is inexcusable. The customer service are of the "Cut & Paste" school. Mostly youngsters with no real people skills and closely follow a script. Therefore USELESS **Overpriced Buyer’s Premium** The buyer’s premium on this site is extortionate. After paying a significant amount for the winning bid, you’re hit with an outrageous fee that makes the whole experience feel like a rip-off. When you factor in the lack of transparency, questionable bidding practices, and poor service, this premium feels like an insult to injury. : **Avoid at All Costs** Overall, Catiwiki is a dismal place to buy luxury watches. The poor user experience, suspicious practices, lack of transparency, and terrible customer service make it a platform to avoid. If you're serious about purchasing a luxury timepiece, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. This site is more interested in squeezing every penny out of you than providing a trustworthy, high-quality auction experience.

Following some unreal broker on ig , I end up losing my saving money and profits. With the help of  "' wikihelpdesks @ g mail c om "   I was able to recover my funds and I am Investing via NAGA because they are secure, fast and reliable.

bought a Zippo lighter, paid and never got it... they say there is no refund because they already paid the seller... and "buyer protection" was also paid... horror

I bought an item that was delivered in a condition that was not as described. A bottle of wine that was described as the metal capsule and cork being intact. It had a hole in it when it was delivered and wine had leaked out into the packaging. I complained to Catawiki and sent photos. They said it was normal to happen during delivery and they would not investigate further. I feel completely let down by the company. They do not seem to help the buyer at all if there are any problems, even though you pay them an expensive ‘buyer protection fee’. They seem to just be interested in taking your money. Awful customer service experience. I do not recommend using them at all and will never do so again. I will find a better more professional and reputable company. Avoid.

CATAWIKI does not leave up to the promise that "your money is safe" My order was delivered July 29. I informed them immediately when I received my order that at least one items was broken and that I will unpack the rest later - because I was elaving. When I finally unpacked it 3 were broken. I update them on the 4th August and they claimed I was outside the window - they are not helpful to the buyers - they really only protect the sellers - despite the fact that we pay them a commission.

Catawiki is a scam , they auction items which are not properly curated by their experts. After you receive it returning rhe garbage and getting your money is very difficult. Never trust that platform. Sellers outside EU sell garbage and trick consumers.

Awful experience. They charge the buyer extra charges and don't support buers at all. There are good sellers, but there are those who sell fake jeweller or dont send them at all and catawiki doesn"t do anything about it and even support them. So, be very careful when you choose something to buy on their site. Read sellers feedbacks. Avoid LARAGM

Nie mehr Catawiki!!! Ersteigerte und sofort bezahlte Uhr am Postweg verloren gegangen. Mussten selber Verkäufer kontaktieren und eine Rekl. beim Transporteur einleiten. CATAWIKI unternimmt NICHTS trotz hohen Provisionsgeb. Inzwischen warten wir schon fast ein Monat auf eine retour Überweisung.FINGER WEG VON CATAWIKI!!!!

Catawiki has the worst, non-existent customer service. Their phone line are only open for 4 hours a day and even if you call during that very small window, you'll get a message saying that they are closed. Chat is also offline most of the time. You are left with very slow email relies from people who should not be in the service industry and just want to close out the email rather than provide any help. It is obvious from their replies that they didn't bother to read your message and have no interest in resolving any issue. They must be some of the dumbest and laziest people on the planet.

Catawiki is a platform you should never trust. I bought a 1300 euro lego piece. When it arrived it was not as pictured and clearly a fake item. Catawiki decided not to help and said it was not possible to know if I had replaced it with my own fake item. WTF. So please please please do not use this platform

No protection for customers. Customer service and help team is non existent. It is possible to win a bet, and receive another item and nothing you can do. I bet and won a 2 oz silver bar Nieu, Feng Shui , Blossomin Peonies and received today a wooden box with three religious silvebars in which I did not bet on. (Bestellung 38921393). No contact from the seller or Catawiki after numerous Emails and a telephone number that is disconnected. This is totally unacceptable and nothing can be done to solve the problem because we do not have any protection.

Faulty item, collected by seller, but Catawilki keet my money ? Over 300 euros .. no customer service reply to ask, on hold for 45 minutes the cut off, many times .. theft?

I purchased from the platform a jewel with the characteristics of a VS1 diamond, color J, size 55, and I received SI2, color M, size 52. The certificate accompanying the jewel was issued by a laboratory not accredited by Catawiki. When I filed a complaint, I was asked for a certificate that was impossible to obtain from my country, and to my remark that Catawiki should request these certificates from sellers and not from the client, Catawiki said that it accepts any type of certificate from this seller because this is an important seller in the platform. But catawiki should not forget that the most important (the one who owns the money) is the buyer and catawiki should first of all protect him Big disappointment!!!

Catawiki is a scam , they estimate the lab grown diamonds as if they were real diamonds and people overpay at these no reserve auctions. You can better buy these items from Ali Baba for 200-300 dollar per carat.
