“I needed advice before purchasing an apple and pear tree. Several emailed questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. The trees were well packaged and healthy. I rest assured that they offer a guarantee for the first growing season. Customer service is excellent - a follow up email from them checked if everything was ok, plus they remain at my disposal for further advice. I would definitely purchase again, their advice and after sales support is greatly appreciated.”

“Purchased an Apple, Plum, Cherry and Green Gage tree - all arrive safely and well packed. Plants arrived very healthy and have since been planted outdoors and doing well so far. John also provided some prompt advice on one question I had as well.”

“Have had an apple tree and a plum tree in Autumn of last year and a cherry tree this summer. We have been more than happy with the service we have had from Chris Bowers. All trees were delivered promptly, were well packaged and the first two are established and doing well. The cherry has only just been delivered and planted. We received a follow up email with an offer of advice and assistance if necessary. Had received helpful advice prior to ordering the apple tree and plum tree, regarding choice of trees and suitability of size for the garden. More than happy to use Chris Bowers again.”

“I bought 2 x Martlet gooseberry bushes which I had chosen due to their resistance to mildew and late cropping. I received 2 very good sided bushes in July and have even had some fruit try. They can well packaged and in excellent health.”

“I can’t believe the reviews I have read on this site. I ordered a pear tree last year and the tree arrived well packaged and protected and is doing well. Fruit? Well it is a bit early and I don’t expect miracles. I have had three trees delivered this year and again they were swiftly delivered (next day) and again were were packaged well and I couldn’t have expected any better service which is why I was gobsmacked at the reviews. I can only speak as I find and I have no complaints whatsoever.”

“I have been using Chris Bowers for a .few years now ,very happy with the trees and bushes i have purchased. The plants are well packaged with tough sacks and straw .Arrive quickly and in good condition. The range of varieties and root stock is what makes this nursery so good .I wouldn't go anywhere else . The site has all the information you will ever need . Cherry , Apple and Kiwi .. last weeks”

“the rudest customer service i have ever encountered . reported a broken branch on a 2 branch stepover with a photo to show that it was not a new break. heard nothing so emailed to say i was disspointed not to have heard anything. got an email back " Please see our t&c's re: returns. Best Regards Shaunna." so checked their Ts and Cs and copied an pasted back what it said "f goods prove to be faulty or do not comply with the Sale of Goods Act 1979 we will offer a suitable remedy. We guarantee all stock to grow during the first growing season. f goods prove to be faulty or do not comply with the Sale of Goods Act 1979 we will offer a suitable remedy. We guarantee all stock to grow during the first growing season. Replacement will be made as soon as possible, or a refund if preferable, at our discretion, provided we are satisfied the stock has been treated well. Thereafter we guarantee all stock as true to name."" i was not contacted to ask which i would prefer instead got this unbelievable email "You don't need to quote distance selling regulations to me, I know them far better than you, it's my job. You obviously haven't even read our terms and conditions which states basically any goods , can be returned for a refund plus cost of return where appropriate. Shaunna." have shown to our horticulturist whos jaw dropped in disbeleif neither he nor i will ver buy from them again. sad as this was the first of what was to be several orders”
