“Terrible warranty coverage on winter cover. Bought mesh winter cover that lasted one season. Clearly ripped in several places around hemmed grommet band. Doheny denied claim citing abrasions were the cause. I have bought quite a few things from Doheny in the past, including covers, but will never buy from them again.”
“I recently purchased 50lbs of chlorine tabs from Doheny's and after using just over 1/4 of the bucket of tabs we found that all the remaining tabs were broken and or crushed. I contacted Doheny's and sent pictures of the damaged product. I would not credit or refund for the amount of the damaged product. They would only offer 10% credit back. The 10% does not cover the amount of damaged product at all. Very disappointed and I will not be ordering from Doheny's in the future.”
“I wish I would have checked the reviews before I ordered from Dohenys. Never again and I would not suggest anyone else order from this company. I purchased the wrong part for my pool and when I called to do a return they said since the order was under 40 dollars they would not accept a return. I called them within a week of receiving the item. Very poor customer service and will never order from them again!!! Need to be more upfront when ordering a part that it can’t be retuned! Never order from this company. This is why they have one out of 5 stars!!!”
“I ordered a robot cleaner from Doheny. It's a private-label item with the Doheny name on it. Within less than 60 days, it stopped working. It simply won't start. I called customer service. They were zero help. "You must call the manufacturer to claim a warranty issue." My advice is to skip Doheny and use your local provider. You might pay a few bucks more, but at least you will be treated well, and they will help resolve any issues instead of passing the buck. One of the worst experiences ever.”
“Purchased ultimate pool cover for 15 by 26 pool in 2016 and it was a perfect fit. After 9 years decided to purchase a new one. Same 15 by 26, same manufacturer but new one is a full 1 foot less width. Length is same, so cover does not fit properly over sides. Original was 19 ft wide new one is 18 ft. Customer service said description is listed online, my mistake for not checking but was ordering same cover, same sku. Was told can’t return. Will NEVER buy from this co again.”
“Ordered a test kit. I was sent an email with a ship date. Then another email with a revised ship date (due to backorder). Then I never received another email or call. I called twice to inquire and the first time they told me it would ship the next day. A week later I called and they said it "might" ship but they have no way of knowing. I asked them to cancel the order and they told me they have to send that request to another department??? What kind of Customer Service can't cancel an order? Total sham of an organization.”
“I purchased a Doheny's Inground Pool Pump, 115/230V, 1.5 HP (1.35 THP) on October 12 2023. Yesterday the pump stopped working. I called my pool guy and he came out and said motor stopped working. I caled Doheny customer service this morning about their 1 Year Warranty and was told I had to pay for packaging, drop off at UPS or FEDez, and wait till they received nd then they would give me 40% of the purchase price of $249 or$91. The cost to ship was $64+. i would get about $30 back as a credit for new equipment. My last inground pool pump lsted almost 6 years. Theirs last 9 MONTHS. i WILL NEVER EVER BY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM THEM. SUGGEST YOU DONT EITHER!”
“Simple question about regulating chlorination flow....all the tech support could say was the 2459 can be shut off with the dial. He further stated that the inline version cannot be shut off. He stated that the flow thru the chlorinator is regulated by a valve in the line. He could not articulate that the water flow thru the unit is controlled or if water flow into the tablet reservoir was controlled by the valve. DO NOT COUNT ON DOHENY'S TECH SUPPORT TO KNOW ANYTHING MORE THAN WHAT IS PRINTED. THAT WOYULD MEAN THEY WOULD HAVE TO DO SOME WORK TO FIND OUT. LAZY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! FIND ANOTHER COMPANY THAT HAS TRUE TECH SUPPORT.”

“I don't normally write review but have been ordering chemicals from Doheny's for several years and have to say without a doubt they are the fastest in processing an order and delivery. All companies should follow their lead. Product arrives as fast as Amazon Prime and have never had an issue. Great company, great products and best of all, great prices!”

“I bought a pump, got it in two days , not overnight- but that didn’t bother me. When I called for technical support, I was told they have no technical support. Their phone tells you to press 2 or3 for support. Will never use them again.”
“Total bad experience and customer service is non existent. We had a solar cover that we only used one season. We have been pool owners for many years and we have never had one be such poor quality. When we called they ask for photos and an email which we supplied. They responded that it wasnt a covered warranty issue. They didnt even seem to care when I told them they had lost a customer.
Stay away.”
“Horrible experience. Cancelled my order for lack of supplies but took the money out of my account. After several emails and calls was told money would be returned. They took another $283 dollars out of my account. 3 days of arguing no product. After they cancelled product turns up on my driveway. I have to return or they keep my money. Never again. Please beware!! Supervisor Hope was rude and nasty.”
“Too bad 0 stars is not an option. I bought a 1.5 Power Pump and in less than 3 weeks it was making a loud noise and stopped working. I called customer service (bad language barrior) they said they would send a shipping label to return it for a refund. That's exactly what I did. I received an email stating they received the pump and would issue a refund. That afternoon there was a replacement pump on my porch and they refused to issue a credit stating my original did not make the 30 day return policy. What makes them think I wanted to take a chance with another JUNK pump from them? Please people DO NOT order from this miserable company.”
“I would rate it no stars if I could. Worst customer service I’ve ever had. I ordered Zeron paint for a pool, they sent me the wrong item. Fine, people make mistakes, I get it. I called their customer service and had it corrected and immediately shipped back the item they sent me in error instead of the paint. They didn’t ship my paint. I called 2 days later and couldn’t get an answer. 3 days later I find they hadn’t shipped the right item yet. No urgency about getting me what I need, no compensation, would not overnight to correct the mistake. Even as I write this I’m still not sure they shipped it. Keep in mind this isn’t normal paint, this is 144 dollar per gallon paint. Use any other company besides this. They will take your money but they don’t care about getting you what you need.”
