I would rate it no stars if I could. Worst customer service I’ve ever had. I ordered Zeron paint for a pool, they sent me the wrong item. Fine, people make mistakes, I get it. I called their customer service and had it corrected and immediately shipped back the item they sent me in error instead of the paint. They didn’t ship my paint. I called 2 days later and couldn’t get an answer. 3 days later I find they hadn’t shipped the right item yet. No urgency about getting me what I need, no compensation, would not overnight to correct the mistake. Even as I write this I’m still not sure they shipped it. Keep in mind this isn’t normal paint, this is 144 dollar per gallon paint. Use any other company besides this. They will take your money but they don’t care about getting you what you need.

I ordered a $1100 pump/filter 4/24, it arrived with a crack in the filter.. I called customer service.. they sent me a shipping label to return pump but would not send out a replacement until I sent the broken one back.. Well I needed a pump/filter so I paid for ANOTHER PUMP/FILTER.. I shipped damaged one back and instead of refund I got another pump/filter.. Instead of this being their mistake.. I will not get a refund until I mail THIS PUMP/FILTER back.. I have 2 $1100 charges on my card.. I will never order again from company..

Good website with product descriptions. equipment always arrives fast. I ordered the correct pump but the one sent was either wrong or defective. I had to purchase one locally which worked fine (so all piping was sound). Called Doheny they said they would charge a 20% restocking fee. I objected. They said send photos - i sent photos and have not received a call back. I am still sitting on a $300 inoperative pump with no path forward.

Worst company to deal with. Ordered a pump specifically from them because they advertise next day delivery, well pump never came. I end up calling them to ask where’s my pump and they tell me I should receive it in the next 2 days so I’m like what do you mean that’s false advertisement. So I told them I can’t wait that long I’ll just go buy one at the local pool store and they refuse to refund me my money and are telling me I’ll have to pay $18 to have them reroute the pump before refunding . I’ve never dealt with such incompetence. Worst company to deal with. They supposedly only ship next day if they have the product in the main warehouse total B.S

Ordered a 1.5 hp pool pump it lasted less than 1 year. They say still under warranty but I must pay all shipping to return and the replacement will only have the remaining time of current warranty on it. My Hayward lasted 5 years so guess what, I am not wasting time with this company again. Poor products and customer service sucks.

I bought the vac pro drive ag, a year and a half ago and this and the third vac I buy in less than 4 years only works exactly for a year after breaks, I called the company and they simply said that I had to buy another or try to fix it, they did not give me an assistance how to do it, particularly I do not recommend buying anything from this company,very disappointed , because when they sold they were so good patients now that I need help they did not give any attention I do not recommend. zero star.

Purchased a inground pump motor on 2/5/24, installed on March 24th, on May 30th it started making a horrible grinding noise. I called customer service, bad mistake (horrible language issue). I was told I would have to send in the current (bad) pump, let it be inspected, in order to receive a replacement... REALLY!! It is June, pool season. I am now a IN THE SWIM customer. HORRIBLE!!!!!

We just bought a Hayward salt system. We have it hooked up and the flow switch is bad. I have 400. Lbs of salt in my pool and the generator isn’t working. I called about exchanging the part. They referred me to Hayward. Hayward said I need to find a local warranty place. I had to call Hayward 3 times because there are no dealers around here that will do the warranty if I didn’t buy it from them. I’m disappointed that Doheny didn’t stand behind the products they sell. I guess we should have paid more and bought it at a local dealer.

ONCE I WAS ABLE TO FIGUE OUT THE ORDERING SEQUENCE PLACED MY ORDER FOR POOL CHEMICALS AND RECEIVED IN LEST THAN 72 HOURS. EVERYTHING WAS SENT CORRECTLY WITHOUT INCIDENT.

Buyer beware! Bought a FIlter, Pump combo and had yo return it because it was 1.5hp and I wanted a 1.0 hp. To return it I had to return it to Wisconsin!!!! Eventhough it was shipped from Sout Carolina. I live in Maryland so South Carolina would have been cheaper. They made me return it to Wisconsin. It cost me $120. I have spent over $8000 with them. NEVER AGAIN! NOT ONE PENNY!

Pretty much a worthless company, if there was a ZERO, I would rate it so. I ordered a heater via phone order to talk to someone in person. You could tell it was a call center from overseas, and the person was not a pool expert. Any way I ordered, I received a confirmation order of course and a email that it was being processed. I was billed that same day for 1900+ bucks. The next day, the 1900+ draft disappeared from my account pending. I was puzzled and was out of town and thought I would give it a little time to figure itself out. Fast forward 1 week later I called customer service. They said they emailed me and cancelled the order because my IP address didn't match?.... Went through all my email boxes....nothing there of course. I made a phone order, my shipping is the same address as bank???...Told them ok, won't do business with them again.

DO NOT BUY DOHENY'S equipment!! I purchased their AG pool vacuum ($329) in April 2022, worked one season and they replaced in March 2023, but cost me $75 to ship the old unit to them. Now in January 2024, you guessed it....vacuum does not work. They said you're only allowed the one replacement, so sorry no more warranty. I'm buying another brand from another company! Will no longer buy my pool chemicals there either!

I called Doheny's to get a recommendation on a pool heater. What they didn't mention was that they sold me an obsolete unit no longer in production, that was very old technology that I had to send back. And, of course I had to pay for return shipping. Terrible customer service when there's a problem. Buy from anywhere else!

I purchased a pool filter from this company 1 year ago one part went to pot and they could not help now I have to buy a new filter and it’s not cheap, also the pool cleaning robot I bought from them is junk no more

Stay away. Lousy product and zero customer service. Pool cover was full of holes. They offered me only 30% back and left me with a big ball of plastic garbage to haul away. Wouldn't even cover the $25 dump fee. Obnoxious in their response.

Returned a pool vacuume, tracking number said they received September 9th it is September 19th and still no refund. I called and they told me they were waiting for me to contact them. I was told no refund for some bogus reason, it was never taken out of the box because when I was reading the directions it wouldn't work in my pool, as my pool was to deep. So information in catalog was incorrect, maybe misleading is a better word. Will rethink any further purchases.

If you are ordering a pool liner, GO ELSEWHERE. These sales reps drop the ball, don't send you forms they say they will send you, don't answer the phone or respond to emails in a timely manner (or not at all), and always blames, "I get over 200 emails a day" or "you didn't send me such and such" when it's been sent multiple times!!! After giving up on the first sales rep, I'm working with another that I'm about to give up on. They apparently don't get commissions for their sales because there is no interest in my order whatsoever.
